No one can sing like him, no one can act like him,no one can express songs like him, no one can be a frontman like him. He is a V8 engine in Judas Priest. Absolute legend in every way.
Hey, kids... just a friendly reminder.... what you are witnessing is pure Heavy Metal from one the most epic years (1983) of HM. Accept no substitutes and don't be fooled by Rolling Stone magazine or other posers or labels. This is real HM in it's purest form. Scientifically tested, Judas Priest is 109% metal
... and here I am in my friend's bungalow in 1983: his older brother runs past us to the stereo and tells us we absolutely must listen to his new cassette. We stood there for God knows how long, speechless. Screaming for vengeance was playing for the first time. I was baptized to heavy metal that day.
Rob Halford is the true metal god. His voice is legendary as is his ability as a front man. Along with Sabbath, the true pioneers of the British metal scene.
Don't forget Ralf in Primal Fear (Gamma Ray)...he had auditioned for Judas Priest when Rob left...don't have no idea why he didn't make it...he was just as good if not better live!
My Dad went to that concert and said his voice was so powerful it actually hurt your ears.He grew his hair out after that concert and never got rid of it till this day.Him an I are seeing JP in May..Super jacked
It’s true. I saw JP on the Screaming for vengeance tour and Rob’s vocals were ear piercing at some points. He was probably hitting some frequencies that only dogs could hear.
Dave holland is a awesome drummer..i dont care if ppl say binks or scott travis is better. Nah..holland played on there biggest material and is so tight in pocket. Not to mention he hits hard as hell. He brought priest up to me
I was about the same age back then. And then one band after another started coming out and kicking ass. Then it all died when grunge ruled. Modern metal sucks.
Most people forget that Dave was well experienced drummer from Trapeze ( Mel galley Glenn Hughes ) and did a lot of different styles . From jazz , pop , Psychedelic , Funk ( Play me out by Glenn hughes its a bad ass Listen ) , was a pionnier of Early Heavy metal , shared the stage with Priest as far back than 1971 . Pionnier of that funk metal mix 20 years before the fashion took place . Dave true drumming style was from steady rock , from swag funk to progressive elements to Metal and was a fluent double bass drummer , before Priest told him to not to much . He was a pro . Listen Jury , Medusa , your love is alright , Keepin time ( that intro ) , from the Trapeze live dallas in 1972 , or songs like Take good care , and stuffl the whole live Trapeze boat club 1975 . Its all on youtube , you 'll have a better view of Dave s real abilities than the professional steady playing you know . Though riding on the wind , Diamond and rust ( with the double bass crescendo ) , Screaming for vengeance can show his Trapeze surviving chops . Even on simpler stuff the hit hat work vs the album on metal gods is very funky like a james brown or wilson pickett record .
Look at this live performance, the epic mega scream at 4:09. blood veins out, insane finish ,nailed it fist pump an the rapid breathing. Try to sing this song bitches or better yet pay respect to the Metal God : Rob Halford
The lads are at their peak here.... fast accurate and kicking ass... love it... Dave Holland on those drums was an absolute monster... so under rated.... RIP ....

What do Judas Priest, Nirvana and Collective Soul have in common? Not a damn thing! Judas Priest smokes them all. This is metal that has stood the test of time and just keeps getting better.
I just bought this album for my Aunt Lee who is suffering from Dementia. The sound of metal makes her feel great and she rocks out. Now who would have ever guessed that metal would be great for the elderly suffering with Alzheimer’s? But it really is and she loves it. Wouldn’t it be great to bring everyone from a dementia center for a concert?
You are a great human being Mrs. Gearhart. Music is kinda spiritual treatment. My uncle suffered from ALS and Beyond the Realms became his final soundtrack

I didnt realise an eargasm could last for 4:46 mins....
@@davidknichal6629 thank you for writing to me David and telling me about your Uncle loving Beyond the realms. That’s great. When we have people we love so much and to find something that helps because their minds work differently now, that’s just such a gift. Hopefully this terrible disease won’t exist anymore one day. Blessings to you my friend,
Jen
I always say that metal is therapeutic. It brings a kind of catharsis to the mind that no other music genre can.
The camera work in this video is almost unrivaled as far as concerts go. Dude must have been a Priest fan.
*1983* great time to be alive
Yeah.
Monstro do metal adoro o Rob, e como ele canta até hoje!!! Parabéns mestre.
Mi convicción de ateo tiembla al pensar que hay un Dios.... uUN DIOS DEL METAL.... I want to cry and smile at the same time ...thank u Rob.. u did it.
First concert i ever saw screaming for vengeance 1981 Knoxville,Tn.
lyrics puto
Hey listen don't you let 'em get your mind
Fill your brain with orders and that's not right
They're playing at a game that draws you closer
Till you're living in a world that's ruled by fear
Always takin' baby out that's o.k.
What they're givin' maybe it's out of phase with me
Told you once you're never gonna win the race
Same old no tomorrow kicked in the face
We are screaming for vengeance
The world is a manacled place
Screaming, screaming for vengeance
The world is defiled in disgrace
Tie a blindfold all around your head
Spin you round in the torture before the dread
And then you're pushed and shoved into every corner
Then they lead you out into the final slaughter
As the sweat is running down your neck
All your praying for's to stop your body breakin' up
Oh your heart is pumping gonna soon explode
Got to fight the horror of this mental load
We are screaming for vengeance
The world is a manacled place
Screaming, screaming for vengeance
The world is defiled in disgrace
So you wait it out and bide your time
Rip off that straight jacket gotta break that line
Everyone who wins in the great escape
Leaves a thousand more who suffer in their wake
I don't talk about it but that's alright
Table's turned now there's a revenge in sight
If it takes forever babe I tell ya I can wait
Send them screaming back through their hell's own gate
We are screaming for vengeance
The world is a manacled place
Screaming, screaming for vengeance
The world is defiled in disgrace
Compositores: Glenn Raymond Tipton / Kenneth Downing / Rob Halford

We want a Judas Priest concert In India. I am 29 now. My dad introduced me to Priest when I picked up guitar. Priest gig has been on our bucketlist
Have JP ever been to India? Just asking and I would be totally OK with an Indian gig bro!
