Randy Rhoads was quite possibly the best composer & musician that I have ever met in my life. He came into my life like a bolt of lightning and as such he was gone again. I consider my self one of the luckiest men alive to have not only met him but also I had the great honor of being able to work with him. I will cherish the time I spent with him till the day I die LONG LIVE RANDY RHOADS. LONG LIVE ROCK N ROLL. I LOVE YOU ALL. - OZZY OSBOURNE
Totally Awesome
Is this really Ozzy?
Indeed.
When is your band going to Tour and where?
Two great epic albums. ..3 if we count the live tributes. ..i still listen to them a lot.
Don’t cry because he’s gone.
Smile because he was here.
Long live Randy Rhoads and Rock and Roll!!
I will NEVER say Rest In Peace as long as I am in my Earth Suit. I know that everybody that I know believe that this is not all there is. I also know that I do not want to RIP when I cross over. My Brother left his Earth Suit at 50 10 years ago and damn well better be playing his horns and having a blast with everybody else that have left this learning ground!
randy e ozzy...monsters....rock.......
we would barely know Oz's name today without Randy.. He'll never be forgotten
....everything dies and is reborn here on earth ... and in the universe! My young brother passed almost 2 years ago...My mother 3 months later after him! Still hurting a lot! But...time to let them free!
Just watched this for the first time in a while and I'm always "re" amazed by Randy's playing!
This song is legendary. Let’s not ignore Tommy, Lindsey, and Rudy for holding it down so Ozzy and Randy could shine! That keyboard intro is pure gold. Rest in Power Randy!
Saw the Ozz and Randy. - Lot of Jealous people. "You saw Ozzy and Randy?" - / Yes !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My only wish is to have seen them live. It’s absolute magic!
Intro is epic 🔥
Saw Randy with Quiet Riot
Rudy really was the drive behind this song with his Bass playing. He doesn't get enough love.
I love how at the end Ozzy looks back and just marvels at the musicians he is performing with.
For sure, best lineup other than Black Sabbath. Rock brothers and sisters!!!
Yes Ozzy stopped to look at them and is thinking ”what a great band this is”.

Randy Rhoades tribute is one of my favourite albums ... Wow! To have been at that show must have been astounding ❤️

Kept him with us for sure… someone had to have watched out for ozzy all these years guardian angels are real man
It looked like Ozzy was shocked himself how cool his band was.

that’s exactly what I wanted to say about how fucked up Ozzy was, but he couldn’t find the words
Hahahaha yeah, specially on 5:50
Probably because his label put it together for him while he was fucked up on drugs

When the lead singer is mesmerised by his own guitarist! You know he is one of a kind! This was synergy! This is a great video.. wow.. god bless ozzy
Like cliff burton, when randy passed, ozzy and metallica's sound was never quite the same. That classical, yet hard edged rock aspect died with rhoads. Ozzy has worked with many great musicians, but rhoads to him, was like page to plant. I have noticed that after years of being an ozzy fan. That was one musical wound that never healed.
yeah bro i think he was high as fuck didnt even know how to breathe :D but still RR is a GOD of the 6Stringer
this made the "Hightlighted reply stautus".....geezes low standards these day 🙄😴
@@AminPaulin Ozzy looked out of place and confused. Because RR actually knew what, why and how he was playing. Ozzy winged everything. Not that he was a bad singer, but come on...talk music theory and he's done by the second word.
Some people are greatly skilled technicians and some are virtuosos. Fly by the seat of thier pants.
It's when you can put them together and the virtuoso learns to do on demand what they are feeling, and the technician learns to reach deep down and touch primal energy you get what we see here
So rare and so beautiful!
Drums in this version are absolutely BRUTAL.
Yeah an no idea why cuz' Tommy Aldridge is a top notch pro....but yeah that intro with drums was pretty bad. Maybe he was hung over?
the whole song is slow and off tempo for some reason. Doesnt stop Randy from nailed every fxcking note tho 🔥
I love how Ozzy just sits and watches Randy play for the last 2 minutes of the song, like he can't believe how talented this dude is. RIP Randy, you were the best
I'm pretty sure he's not just having his mind blown by Rhandy. Tommy Aldridge is contributing to that as well. It's the faaaaaaaark look. 😂

an absurd death
Even better than Adam Sandler?
THE greatest of all time
@@jasonspades5628 Adam Sandler doesnt play guitar
He wasn't that good. It's sad he lost his life so young but his guitar playing is only remarkable in the context of a genre that had a bunch of pretentious but fairly talentless musicians to compare him to. The average jazz musician is hundreds of times better than any wanky metal guitarist
Randy died 42 years ago today 😓😩 His contributions to music of all genres can never be overstated. In this video you can also see such awesome gear...Minimoog , Marshall amps etc...

Who is listening in 2024?🤘

we will listen this forever...
Probably the best guitar solo ever 😊 I'm gonna listen to this for many years to come
I am :)
Me… my hero is Prince, my favourite band? Black sabbath!!!😎💕
Everyone is talking about the guitar solo, and it is probably one of the greatest guitar solos of all time, but I think that that amazing keyboard solo at the beginning should be given some love, too.
One of the best metal intros of all time and it's not even on a guitar.
I also think that it's impressive that the double solo effect on the second solo is basically the keyboard soloing similar notes to the guitar. It's incredibly good choice of sound effect and incredible keyboard playing.
Basically up to 4:38 on the second solo, the main solo is the keyboard with this weird arp guitar like effect, then the guitar takes over more after 4:37/4:38. Wicked keyboard playing.
So basically between 3:39 and 4:38 the loudest soloing is the keyboard with a weird guitar like sound effect sampled through it. I know cos even though I don't know the song I know the fretboard pretty well.
@@Musician7831 huh, I didn't know that
I love Ozzys reaction to his band members talents.
Specially in the end of the song. Really great.

Randy was guitar genius that's fact. He died too young. I can't even imagine what else he could develop if not his death. However his thumbnails were horrific, awful, just no words to describe how nasty they were... Why the hell did he let them grow ?? Didn't he realize this is the most awful thing in the world ? For a change
I'm 66 years old. I've been playing guitar since I was 14. I've seen and heard thousands of guitar players and solos. This solo on Mr. Crowley is probably the best composed guitar solo I've ever heard. Every note is wired to the chord. The legato is so smooth, and the wild bend still blow me away, no matter how many times I've heard and played it. No matter how old or how good I get, I'll never get it to sound like Randy. But then, nobody can. He was one of a kind and we lost him all too soon like so many other great musicians who died much too young, going back to Buddy Holly.
So very true. That solo builds and builds then takes you away .......

There is nobody like Rhoads walking over the frets of the guitar, it was magic.
What made Ozzy and Randy so great together is that Randy’s compositions always had a bright uplifting feel to them in contrast to Ozzy’s dark brooding nature.
Randy was the reason I started playing
At the end I think Ozzy couldn’t believe how good they were. That look on his face.
Yeh OZZY's looking around and thinking, these guys are awesome and nuts!
No doubt , I thought that same thing. God how it still hurts just it did that horrible day sitting in the 7' th grade. .. .sucks man..

Better than EVH. All that tapping nonsense is just a gimick that was around before EVH. Don't get me wrong, EVH is a great guitarist, but this guy plays scales that were out of this world. Yea. Ain't the cameraman; it's the director and editor. Cameramen do what they're told by the director and the editor puts the spot together later.
Nothing to compared to hearing Duane play and watching Butch Trucks play a simple drum. But this randy thing is nothing like anything Duane played nor what Gilmore played. Lots of notes isn't that impressive.

After the 4:00 you can see how happy and realized Ozzy was when he was doing this performance; Old songs don't die, they lived forever until become legends.
R.I.P Randy we miss u
It's a true blessing to be in the presence of true greatness even if it's only in a video.
Best line up. Audrey drumm
Who was the best hair metal band
5:34😁
@@timothyblack1979 Nobody.
One of the best solo i have ever heard. Wonderfull Randy! Thank's !
I've been around a long time. I've heard no other guitar solo which comes even close. Pure magic.
5:45 When Ozzy becomes a spectator to the awesomeness of his band.
The huge smile on his face says it all. What a great moment captured on film.
He sees perfection, True Rock and Roll.
Exactly! He was so high on what they were doing. He almost lost it after Sabbath. Ozzy is god and Rhodes was an angel
can you imagine where rock n roll guitar playing would be if Randy was still around alongside Eddie through the 80's and 90's
I was looking for this comment!
I know Eddie Van Halen is considered one of the greatest of all time, but you can put Mr. Crowley solo against any Van Halen solo and there's no question as to who was the better guitar player. I can only imagine what Randy would've written had he lived longer.
MAN! What a performance!
The way Ozzy watched his bandmates finishing the song is just adorable ! He is a child inside and you can't help but love him.
I fully agree. He has such a cute sexy but child like smile. I adore his smile. I adore Ozzy. Love this song. Love Perry Mason as well. Don’t hear many ppl talking about that song eh. Perry Mason !??
I was just about to type something very similar. Ozzy was watching like a child in the audience
@@timothygallagher8744 Haha, love Ozzy !
He is the
Forrest Gump of music
I love sabbath with ozzy and some ozzy but I definitly dotn love him, he killed like 12 of his cats one day hes a douche but him with sabbath was great songs and music , probably the best music ever.
Ozzy on his Reddit AMA When asked what he would change if he could go back in time, he wrote, “I would make sure Randy never got on that plane.”
Breaks me heart man, he loved Randy so much
Yeah all well and good but within another year or so sharon would have fucked it up somehow anyway.
Yeah his wife "loved" Randy too.🤦🏻♂️
@@fredjones9750 ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH YOU ..
# Guiltless I heard the same thing very recently. Naughty naughty Sharon. She’s no angel that’s for sure.
Sharon's a maggot. She literally has grudges with all ozzys band mates. Kerslake, daisley, soussan,Castillo, Jake e Lee, rudi sarzo, Tommy aldridge. All fantastic musicians. Not to mention Bruce Dickinson, bill ward, Tony iommi and several other notable hard rock people. I dont see how randy would have been any different. He would have been thrown out like garbage too. Make no mistake.
Ozzy at the last 30 seconds was like this band can freaking jam
You got that Right Ozzy! Also, your Voice is Hypnotic. Mr. Crowley is a Spiritual and most wholesome song for me. Thank You, Ozzy for Everything! M.J.Miller.
Drake is a Wigger! 2025
the look on Ozzy's face at the end says it all!
it says "if you're that good I don't even care that you fucked my wife!"
Sharon was not Ozzy's wife until later. He was still married to Thelma at the time.
Thelma had just made Ozzy that fringed shirt and she gave it to him when she joined the tour for a while. Read Rudy's book, "Off the Rails" which is about his time with Randy and Ozzy.
I 2nd this. Read Rudy's book!
I have just finished reading it...an autographed copy in fact.
It's Don Airey, according to Rudy Sarzo's book, and he was right there on bass.
I have seen Don Airey with Deep Purple a couple of times, and I think it is him too.
I like how at the end, ozzy just watches in amazement, like holy fuck my band is awesome.
Love how he stood there forgetting himself watching Randy and Tommy. The joy of an innocent child reappeared in him at that moment when he couldn't even express himself how pleased he was with them.
He looks his band with passion.
Makes me cry a little bit think of what could have been with Randy. That kid was just amazing and you can see how much Ozzy cared for him.
Randy is the origin of thrash! Goosebumps
