I was there. Poor bastard in front of me was screaming for Ozzie and Sabbath from the first minute the show. When sabbath finally came in the dude was out cold. His friends were trying hard to wake him up. Wasn’t happening. He survived the show but he took at least a 4-5 hour nap. I think he woke up for Madonna. Shit that was a trip….
Literally nobody is talking about the actual performance and are just mentioning ozzys weight or past demons and it’s a damn shame This show is freaking incredible
What stands out to me when watching old videos with Ozzy is, the dude usually sang pretty spot-on. For all the drugs he did in the 80's, he damn sure still stepped up and sang his ass off. I remember Dio when he was in Sabbath, cracking on Ozzy's singing and saying he was better than Ozzy. I don't know about that, dude. Although I like Dio also, I'd put Ozzy's live performances as at least equal, if not better...Oz was certainly more entertaining.
@@dewilew2137 90's, too. Ozzy sang very well live back in the day. Many singers lose their voices or their range when they age, but Ozzy brought it vocally when he was in his prime, just as well as Dio ever did.
They are VERY different singers. Ozzy is actually better than Dio melodically, although Dio is probably more expressive vocally and has better breath control. Ozzy would struggle to do Dio era songs, but then Dio also struggled with Ozzy-era Sabbath, as seen by his performance of Paranoid here: ruclips.net/video/sVgkRizZ4fY/видео.html He really can't hit the same notes as Ozzy in such quick succession, I don't think he even tries, just substitutes a growl or shout when he knows he won't make it. (This is not meant as a Dio dis BTW, just an example of how different they are vocally, and how Ozzy brought something unique to Sabbath no-one else really did).
@@calebfuller4713 Yes, totally different. I do remember Dio claiming he was a better singer, but I don't think he is at all. He is totally different, but not "better", at least not in any technical way. He can't sing or hold a note any better than Ozzy, and maybe not even quite as well. Just totally different voices and styles. Dio's voice, he adds the growl sound. Ozzy just sings with his normal voice. And that version of Paranoid sounds tuned down slightly. I still prefer Ozzy Sabbath, but I do like Dio solo.
It’s crazy that I haven’t listened to Ozzy in close to a decade or more, but at the lowest point in my life the universe/Utube suggested Crazy Train and then Paranoid. I never fully understood the depth of those lyrics until now.
Poor guy, he's been through a lot, and yeah a lot was self inflicted, but this concert was only around 2 years after the death of Randy, Ozzy loved Randy like a brother. I can imagine what all he did to himself through the grieving.
I wasn’t in born in the 80s but I love how the people here have no phones or screens to look at. I miss that feeling of not being distracted and I miss that feeling of enjoying the moment with other people
I remember watching this live. It was so hot in Philadelphia they had to spray the crowd with water hoses. They made an announcement before advising the crowd to cover there cameras or any other electronic devices prior.
2024 and It's a miracle all four members of Black Sabbath are still alive... And yes, this is Ozzy featuring Black Sabbath, in 1985 he wasn't part of the band. God bless you all, long live to rock and roll, long live to Randy Rhoads, God bless his soul!

Watching “The Dirt” on Netflix, “That doesn’t look like Ozzy...”
After watching this... “Oh.. “
neufy123456 lol same
Oh children 💀
Yeah 80's Ozzy was fat coked out Ozzy
EXACTLY 😂😂
The dirt was about moutley crue
Literally nobody is talking about the actual performance and are just mentioning ozzys weight or past demons and it’s a damn shame
This show is freaking incredible
Performance shitty
Look > shitty
Ozzy > shitty too
He was singing out of tune at most of the parts.
Literally half of the comments are praising the performance my guy, you higher than Ozzy or something?
What stands out to me when watching old videos with Ozzy is, the dude usually sang pretty spot-on. For all the drugs he did in the 80's, he damn sure still stepped up and sang his ass off.
I remember Dio when he was in Sabbath, cracking on Ozzy's singing and saying he was better than Ozzy.
I don't know about that, dude. Although I like Dio also, I'd put Ozzy's live performances as at least equal, if not better...Oz was certainly more entertaining.
Same
“In the 80’s” lol
@@dewilew2137 90's, too. Ozzy sang very well live back in the day. Many singers lose their voices or their range when they age, but Ozzy brought it vocally when he was in his prime, just as well as Dio ever did.
They are VERY different singers. Ozzy is actually better than Dio melodically, although Dio is probably more expressive vocally and has better breath control. Ozzy would struggle to do Dio era songs, but then Dio also struggled with Ozzy-era Sabbath, as seen by his performance of Paranoid here:
ruclips.net/video/sVgkRizZ4fY/видео.html
He really can't hit the same notes as Ozzy in such quick succession, I don't think he even tries, just substitutes a growl or shout when he knows he won't make it.
If you guys think Axl Rose is the peak of rockstar fat you clearly haven't seen Vince Neil.
Nitro Spice corpsegrinder, nino
You clearly haven't seen Chuck Billy from Testament... He went from slightly overweight to fucking obese
What about Jon Oliva?
nasser wiz we’re talking about fat rockstars
Danzig's fat.
Ozzy looks like the middle aged woman in Denny's screaming that she needs to speak to the manager
LMFAO
Omg he really does 😂
Вот были времена! Рок был частью жизни и объединял миллионы людей по всему миру. Да и, разумеется: Sabbath - ТИТАНЫ!
Да да
Как может такое дерьмо нравится?
В точку
Poor guy, he's been through a lot, and yeah a lot was self inflicted, but this concert was only around 2 years after the death of Randy, Ozzy loved Randy like a brother. I can imagine what all he did to himself through the grieving.
I might be high here, but this isn’t wembley where live aid was. And ozzy didn’t play with Black Sabbath in ‘85. 🧐😳
@@mudzy93They reunited for live aid which was held in both London and Philadelphia
The way Ozzy looks aside for one second. Iommi is wearing one of the most iconic rock outfits ever
"Van Halen, featuring Van Halen"
@crusader 1
sure why not.
Van Halen featuring Sammy Hagar or David Lee Roth?
@@dabunnyrabbit2620 Queen Ft. Freddy Mercury.
What? Black Sabbath is all Tommy Iommi. Ozzy was sure the singer of the classic period but they did some fucking awesome albums with Dio as well.
Lindemann featuring Till Lindemann
A melhor musica deles !!!!
O poder da musica é impressionante.
Quanta gente reunida ...
No smartphones, everyone is enjoing the show.
Exactly! There is NOTHING smart about smartphones, except for the CCP.
I miss Ozzy's 80's "fat aunt" look
I wasn’t in born in the 80s but I love how the people here have no phones or screens to look at. I miss that feeling of not being distracted and I miss that feeling of enjoying the moment with other people
Damn...this was 34 years ago, remember watching this on a rebroadcast on HBO IIRC. Then on rock radio 98.7 WLLZ...Detroit's Wheels late at night!
Phenomenal performance
This is the result when Ozzy learnt that bats can be deep fried
He did a tour of Scotland?
And then it came the corona virus
@@ricarena Ozzy survived many diseases lol
Chicken of the cave
😂😂😭😭😅
I was at that show, and they sounded fantastic.
You you you was In live aid OMG YOU ARE MY GOD OMHIGNGGIG. TELL ME EVERYTHING PLEASE
@@Raikku chill...
@@Raikku It was about 90 degrees at 9:00am. Ozzy and Sabbath did a killer set. Tremendous.
First song I learned on bass in the first band I was in back in 1981 I finally regained consciousness in 1993 what a ride the 80's were
They were so good together, Godfathers of Metal. What a time to grow up in
This is when Ozzy lived in a van down by the river.
Greasy Belcher nah this when he lived under a bridge and ate children that stayed up past bedtime
Best Chris Farley reference... Lol
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
OMG THIS IS THE BEST COMMENT IVE SEEN
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!
I guess Ozzy took the phrase " *Heavy* music" too literally back then.
I remember watching this live. It was so hot in Philadelphia they had to spray the crowd with water hoses. They made an announcement before advising the crowd to cover there cameras or any other electronic devices prior.
"Ladies and gentleman, please welcome Black Sabbath FEAT OZZY OSBOURNE", man, chills running up and down my spine.
Недавно узнал про это песню и что Оззи был вокалистом в этой группе.
Потрясающе!
He was living the rock and roll lifestyle in excess, give Ozzy a break. Excellent performance
Bill: metal anger
Geezer: vibes of 80s
Tony: vibes of 70s
Ozzy: just Ozzy
2024 and It's a miracle all four members of Black Sabbath are still alive... And yes, this is Ozzy featuring Black Sabbath, in 1985 he wasn't part of the band. God bless you all, long live to rock and roll, long live to Randy Rhoads, God bless his soul!

The pitch he’s singing at sounds haunting in a way and I like it.
It's a unique voice that of Ozzy, identifies Sabbath, it's a kind of voice from beyond the grave clearly as heard on the album "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath".
Prince of darkness for a reason
An iconic showman! There will never be another Ozzy!!!!!😢😊
He’s said that he has always been sober for these concerts out of appreciation for people watching his shows
Listen Tony, How many crosses do you want on the jacket?
Tony: Yes
