I’d love to have been there. I’d only be 4 tho in ‘86 but if I had a time machine I’d go back and see Judas Priest for this tour and see Iron Maiden too on the somewhere in time tour. I hope you rocked hard and rode free back then mate and enjoyed the sights of those fine 80s heavy metal ladies.
Saw this tour in NJ, 1986, Dokken opened, a fantastic show. I was 15 going on 16 that year.
I saw the same show in Cleveland. I couldnt hear for 2 days after it. Good times.

This is my favorite live performance of this song. It packs so much power and energy. Its too bad Ian Hill doesn't get more screen time, he absolutely rocks that bass.

What I like about Judas Priest they don't sugar coat their music with occasional keyboards, trumpets or violins like some other rock groups did for pop music flavor..

They did a cover of Johnny B Goode years later that, while not as classic as Diamonds and Rust or Green Manalishi, was pretty darn good. As usual, they didn’t just cover it but made it into a real metal song.

Saw Iron Maiden open for Judas Priest in 83 at Glens Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls NY and when they played this song guess who played it with them- Iron Maiden. I thought they were gonna blow the roof off that arena. Without a doubt the best metal show I've EVER attended
Man I wish I was ready for Priest back in the mid 80’s. I was still heavily into my Huey Lewis, Madonna, A-Ha and Duran Duran phase. What an amazing live band.

One of my R&B buddies, a good friend said all rock songs start out slow and then go faster. I sent him this song.
"Priest Live" which was the recording from the "Fuel for Life" tour was the first ever live album recorded digitally.
I have been a fan for years and Robs voice is still outstanding after many many moons of listening to them.
Hard for any band in the genre to beat this show.
