Great video !! You can imagine how many technicians stuck on the field for that particular issue..I reroute ASSY Dampers as well positioned sensor and never solve the problem...Thank you so much !
Had the same problem. We could not wash anything, even the smallest load, no matter the setting - dc error every time. A simple fix is to shut off the washer after the dc error comes up and manually adjust the load, if it looks unbalanced. Then hold the "SPIN" button for ten seconds, until you hear a beep. With the top closed, press "START" and it will immediately go into the spin cycle. So far this has worked for us.
I have a Samsung toploader WA456DRHDWR/AA giving the error dc during spin. I replaced the damper rods with pn DC97-05280W per the service bulletin and the problem is resolved. Looks like Samsung listened to you Harold and beefed up the springs (not enough in my opinion but it is working),
..did you use dog legs in all four corners or just two opposing corners? needed a good pic of where to attach it was vague. and not much video or discussion on the dog legs. were they flexible or hard plastic? do you think the stress on the tub at the mount point from torsional spin of the tub bouncing around on worn suspension rods not eventually cause damage to the tub? this is a great fix when the suspension rods are either upgraded with the improved replacement rods now available or reconditioned using the rubber wrap method or other fix like wrapping solid rubber bungee twice around rod with hooks under where the rod rest on tub, other hook rest on top of rod top cover or renewing the shock material in the sliding apparatus with any material of choice that will again provide resistance to movement. would appreciate more info on the dog bones as where to obtain. so far our machine has the wrapped rubber hose and bungee fix combined. yet on heavy laundered items like bedding the tub moves around quite a bit before entering into stable spin. worry about starting a load leaving the house to come back to a cranked washer. the combo of updated rods / after market fix and wrapped bungee WITH the dog legs may be what allows this machine to be used without being chaperoned. hope to read a reply thanx for your videos. cheers
thanx. after another view see solid plastic dogs. thanx for the other instruction on all the underneath components about they work & what mail cause the code . cheers
Hi Calvin, I don't know what to tell you at this point. Whirlpool and Kenmore was the best machines. But now they have changed the design and we just don't know how bad or good the new design is going to be. The machines we work on the most is LG, GE and Samsung. We like the Whirlpool and Kenmore. But like I said it's hard to say now what is good or bad. Good luck!
I have the same washer, and was fighting the same DC code, going into maintenance mode, it looks like the drum always knocks at around 250 rpm. I did the same as you did in your two vides, Strengthening the rod spring (I used foam from an academy sit cushion, cut in strips and wraped inside the spring, then used a piece of bicycle inner tube to slide on top of the spring so foam stays secure inside) and for the washer not to go out of cycle, I did put a 26 inch inner tube inflated around the top of the drum. Works great, machine knocks a little, but only at 250 rpm, then it goes smooth up in the spin cycle. I'm sure if someone wants to fix their problem real quick, just go to academy, get a 4 dollars inner tube 26 inch, wrap it around the upper drum, and inflate it so it is 1/2 inch off the walls of the washer. it'll limit the movements of your drum and prevent the dc code.
I was trying to get Samsung recall to fix this, but quote " we have no certified technicians in your area" (I live in houston TX, didn't know it was so out in the boonies !) they then offered me 20 dollars coupon on the purchase of another brand washer, and 140 dollars coupons on a samsung machine !!!! What a joke. This machine is only 5 years.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. It took about 15 minutes for a Great Fix. Great instructional video! You have made me a happy lady. God Bless you for helping others.
I just came across this video today. I have a newer model that is not even three years old and I get a Ur (Unbalanced) code. I changed out the suspension rods and although you can tell it's better, I still get the code on when it gets close to the end with the last spin. You said this is a last resort so it will be my last resort. I've tried a few different solutions and nothing seems to work. I'm really disappointed with Samsung right now. I was a little confused as to where you secured the other end of the dog bone although I know it had to be somewhere near the corner on the mount where the spring rods are located. Thanks for the video!
hi Harold. I'm also in Orlando Florida. the 3 year old Samsung top load washer had already cost us 220 dollars, control board. now we're having the DC error code. unbelievable. such a crappy machine.
Question Harold- my son has Samsung washer wa45k7600aw/al it doesn’t spin dash enough to get water out of clothes and and when it shifts it grinds any ideas. Your video is helpful they use to those rubber bands on top of the machines-I’ve replaced them before
Mine is similar to this model (color, buttons, and layout are the same) and it started to cycle through rinse and spin, with a major unbalanced knock. Small loads were ok, but I have to result to forcing it on spin or taking out the wet clothes and just using the dryer to finish the job. I’ve taken it apart, down to the agitator nut, which all seems OK. Like one other commenter, I would have liked to see your top-down view of the barrel. Mine does not (yet) produce the dc code.
Your washer is empty. You will not know if it is fixed until you wash a load. My washer works great empty too, and it is not fixed. By the way, you didn't show a top view of what you did after you made the, ''repair''! I could not see what you did. thanks. frank.
He showed drilling out the screw hole and is obviously going to bolt the brackets he showed to the holes beside the suspension rods, if this wasn't obvious.. you should probably not attempt yourself
I see that also, when the machine is on a cleaning mode, it doesn't shake, but when I have clothes in the machine I see the barrel dancing while it's in a wash mode
Thank you so much for the helpful video. Does anyone know if there is an actual repair kit for the machine. I don’t know how easy t would be to solve this as a inexperienced handy man. Thanks for the help
Yes and theres an easier fix too . I just watched a guy wrap hose around it with zip strips . Video title is something like fixed DC code for $3 in 5 minutes
I moved the rods around and it worked a bit. there are heavier rods sold at 25 t do you think that works also? where did you get the plastic piece you are putting in the inside corners? are you actually linking the drum to the side of the unit? i clearly saw the drum hook up but missed the second connection. thanks
... i found those straps quickly on amazon ;).. & they should be here in a few days. I also saw your other video & fix re: the same situation, but i think those straps should fill the bill... so Thanks again, your help is greatly appreciated. ;)
Harold Jackson...If you ever come across G.E. washers similar to model number WHSE5240D0WW which are too expensive to repair, the suspension rods used in those models will fit Samsung washers and are much stronger than the Samsung rods. G.E. part number WH16X543
If you are going to fix it yourself you can try this. See this video ruclips.net/video/I4lIdP5J5dk/видео.html Some people have had good luck with this fix. Good luck!
I've got a Samsung washing machine that failed after 3 years and the more I watch this kind of videos the more I hate the brand. It seems that Samsung is engineering their products to fail after a certain amount of time, but they charge a lot for them anyway. showing no respect to customers.
Thanks for video. My washer will not even start the load. it powers on fine. When I hit start the DC codes pops up. have tried powering off and turning back on, same every time. any suggestions?
what did you use for the dawgs and where did you get them. Also did you take the suspension rods out, and if so is that where you attached the dawgs to?

I made a new Video on a new way to fix the DC Fault code. See it here, ruclips.net/video/I4lIdP5J5dk/видео.html Easy way to fix the DC Fault Code. No drilling needed.
Please advise if it is ok to replace the clutch on the Samsung top load washer WA422PRHDWR/AA As it has become loud and noisy during the spin cycle typically the noise is like that of a bad bearing Thanks
Hi i would like some advice please, i have a Samsung top load washer it's 2 1/2 years old, a technician came and changed the suspension rods and the barrel is still dancing, do you know why?? Thanks
hi harold i replaced rods on top load washer 4.5 cu & it stills knocks & shakes while on spin mode, only washed 2 towels ,any idea what else it could be?
Thanks for the fix. I attempted your fix and after putting the lid back on, attaching the water and turning the water on the washer will not fill with water when I start it. No problems with water before this. Any suggestions?
Check to make sure you did not cut a wire or disconnect a wire why you were doing the repair. Make sure the water is on. It's funny but I have done that before. Good luck.
Harold, thanks for the reply. I checked the wires and everything looks good. Water is on. I ran a quick test in test mode for the valve and water came into the tub. I tried to start a cycle in regular mode and no water will come into the tub. What am I missing?
I was thinking the same thing I have been going to walmart and buying twin size foam mattress padding cutting it to size and using heavy duty tape to keep it in place...I have had to replace all 4 sides about once a year this would last much longer!
I have same Samsung self cleaning doing all sicles after done and finish loads keeps doing Rinse and spining again and again do you know what size the problem? Thanks
the link underneath doesn't show what that part is called it only shows regular tools. I'm having the same problem with my washer and I need to know what the black stabilizing bar is called that you placed in this video.
Hi Whoareyou Whoami, That is what Samsung would like for you to do. It will cost you about 140.00 for parts. Or you can do my fix for under 20.00. This should be a recall. Samsung sold thousands of Bad Washing Machines as you can see by the views. Thank you for the question.

It's ridiculous that people have to go through this to fix something that SAMSUNG should be fixing!!!!! Grrrrrrr!

Hello Harold,
What size bolts did you use to secure the straps? Thank you Alan
I’m wording the same thing I need to fix mine now
Thank you good man.
Thanks for the fix Harold, doing this with some trampoline springs now.
Trampoline springs are Not Compression Springs, They are Pull Springs. Won’t work….
hi Harold. I'm also in Orlando Florida. the 3 year old Samsung top load washer had already cost us 220 dollars, control board. now we're having the DC error code. unbelievable. such a crappy machine.
Samsung Should fix it for free! They have come up with a fix but it cost the consumer $120.00 just for parts.
Mr. Haraold.. Thanks
We WONT be going with Samsung again -I have to keep restarting the machine when you get a DC or DE every 10 mins-bye Samsung!
Same here not me and Samsung washer again
I agree Washers and refrigerators...
Bad designs. I prefer whirpool Machines

Thank you so much the video really helped me out!
where do you get those four pieces that you bolted on top?
I put links in the description under the video.
Where do you get them brackets you r using
At your local appliance parts store. They are for GE Washing machines.

Where can I get the plastic straps? I see the comment below about amazon but i don't know what to search for
Could you post the link to the spot on amazon.
amazon: i guessed ' 6 inch rubber straps ' scroll down til ya see'm... they are actually a GE ( i think ) washer part ;)

Hi sir! I would like to know what piece you used to hold it down
U Rock!!!! Thank you!
You are welcome!
GREAT IDEA. THE SUSPENSION RODS AND THE BALANCE SENSOR ARE AVAILABLE THOUGH. EXPENSIVE THOUGH.
Hi Harold, same problem as everyone else; question: Is the grease on the rods supposed to be sticky or does the grease need to be replaced?
I don't know why they put that on the rods. The new ones don't have it.
wild...okay. thank you!
we figure ot is the rods or a sensor. what a mess..thanks

It's probably not the clutch. The most common issue with that washer is the rods and springs that hold the tub.
great video man...
Hi i would like some advice please, i have a Samsung top load washer it's 2 1/2 years old, a technician came and changed the suspension rods and the barrel is still dancing, do you know why?? Thanks
He probably used the same rods and springs. The new rods and springs will have rubber on the springs.
Shanaaz Mohammed you need to call that guy back to fix it properly.
hi harold i replaced rods on top load washer 4.5 cu & it stills knocks & shakes while on spin mode, only washed 2 towels ,any idea what else it could be?

Wow, Check the door lock or lid switch. You may need to get a repair person out to check it out. It's had to diagnose without being there.
are they hard plastic? or rubber?
Rubber. You can get them at an Appliance parts store.
I posted a link to the parts under the video in the description.
Sir you didn’t show close up where you connected the other side of the straps too? You should’ve got closer up
I was thinking the same thing I have been going to walmart and buying twin size foam mattress padding cutting it to size and using heavy duty tape to keep it in place...I have had to replace all 4 sides about once a year this would last much longer!
My washer knocks and jumps without anything in it. It's unbalanced without a load. I suspect there is more to it than damping rods
sounds like one team loose!
Cody Spencer Demonic possession?
What is the model of that machine?
I have same Samsung self cleaning doing all sicles after done and finish loads keeps doing Rinse and spining again and again do you know what size the problem? Thanks
I have the same problem with Samsung washer
side by side, the new and old looks the same, what is the real issue with the old one.
Hi my Samsung washing machine Model no: WA80G5 is not spinning for wash, please help me.
So how about when it starts to spin doesnt then adds time and rinses forever
Unfortunately several things can cause this issue.
the link underneath doesn't show what that part is called it only shows regular tools. I'm having the same problem with my washer and I need to know what the black stabilizing bar is called that you placed in this video.
just call Mike and he will help you. To order a repair kit go to this website www.sensibleproducts.com/

If my washer gets out of balance it starts all over running water to rinse the.
Sounds like the rods and springs. Common issue with that washing machine. Good luck.
My doesn't spin as by idea .? Thanks
It could be a lot of things. I would check the pump. Water inlet to make sure it getting the right amount of water. Make sure the drain hose is not collapsed. That's a start. Good luck.
@@HaroldJackson thanks I will
If it out of balance it will not spin. Bad springs and rods is the most common issue with this washing machine.
Hello!
My name is Rodrigo. I'm from Brazil and my washing machine is giving the error EA6 . Can you tell me what's wrong?
Model Samsung wa56h9000ap .

Why I get dc error when the washer is empty the door don t lock every time I press start
does this work for always being unbalanced??
Hi Ben, Check out the replays under the video and you will see how many people it helped. I would say nothing is 100 percent. It worked for us. Good luck.
What is the capacity of the machine?
Where can i get a plastic dog?
You can find links to all the parts in the description under the video. 👍 Good luck!
Yeah, I'm not going through this trouble to modify this machine. Samsung sucks!!
You can order new rod and spring kit. That will fix it also! 👍
@@HaroldJackson We might do that. I tried to do it myself with tubing. Still didn't work so, I might just buy a non Samsung product.
Why does it sound so noisy?
I will never buy a washer and dryer made by samsung
