I have the same model washer. I found one (green) of the three TMR sensor wires was severed. I think it is a design issue. The wires are too thin and it is so easy to be broken with that level of shaking when it's spinning. While I was fixing it I collected some data for testing the three components: Capacitor, Shift actuator, and TMR sensor. Hope it is helpful to those who need it.
1. Run capacitor (1). Capacitance = 45 µF ±5% (2). Check body shape.
2. Shift actuator (1).Ohm range: 1000-1100 Ω. (2) check wire.
3. TMR (tunnel magentoresistance) sensor. There are three wires: green, blue, and red. Using Ohm meter to measure, one should get these:
(a) Green-Blue = OL
(b) Green-Red = OL
(c) Blue-Red = 10 KΩ
thanks for the info 👌 im pretty sure someone will benefit from it
@@JesseApplianceRepair Do you have a link to order the TMR ? . i am look and no luck where i can buy it .
@@6point2000 Samsung doesnt sell the sensor by itself unfortunately. but you can find the link in the description to the full clutch assembly. that includes the sensor. but I recommend to check all wires for any rips before you order any parts.

Any suggestions for a Samsung top load model wa56h9000ap/a2 that won't spin in normal mode. In service and quick spin modes it spins up to high rpm. In service mode are we bypassing all the sensors? No error codes are displayed. Thanks

Thank you so much for the video, does anyone have the part number for just the nylon tmr sensor. Thank you

Having the same problem when pressings to start during washing and also tried to do also rinse and Spin and found the same condition as you mention above. I should clean the sensor or replace the actuator?
Very helpful. Well done..
Glad it was helped.
Great video! It is exactly what my Samsung washer has. Do you have any video on how to rewired the sensor? It’s almost impossible to get it here in Mexico 😢
Question I have the same washer.is it natural for the washer to make clacking sound for a minute going from wash to rinse or like when its changing gears or something....

Hello, great video.
I have a newer model of this washer where I have encountered an agitator/spinning issue. It is not spinning. The washer was loaded with too many bath mats which when wet was heavy, and I am assuming unbalanced. The machine then stopped. After taking everything out and trying to spin the agitator and barrel with my hand, I could hear a light grinding/scraping sound underneath. Could something have come loose in the motor to the barrel/ agitator because of a heavy unbalanced load? Thank you.
Bearings problem
Where can i get the first senscor , could you tell me the place you got it from? Thank you also your video helped me a lot
Greetings, Jesus, I think I have a similar washing machine with a model (wa45n3050aw/a4). My question is the following: When the spinning cycle is almost over, the washing machine begins to move very abruptly to the point of stopping automatically and starting the washing cycle again, filling water the tub from the beginning I already did some of the steps you recommend in this video like cleaning the tps sensor and leveling the washer on a flat place I really don't know what else I can do or if you have had a case similar to this before? what do you recommmend me to do
I have the same washer but it spins but sounds rough when it spins. I did the nickel glue quick fix for the handle. what part do I need to replace and where can I order it from
hi there i have the same model as of right now it has a hot & cold error it does not agitate or spin i cleaned the tmr sensor nothing what would you think thank you
Hi Jesus, I’m hoping you can help me. I need to replace the harness that attaches the TMR sensor to my Samsung WA40J3000AW/AA and I can’t find it anywhere. It looks just like the one in your video
Good afternoon do you know the part number or do you have to buy the hole clutch assembly
Hi my friend I want to thank you for the good video and also just wondering if you have a link where to find that specific sensor I’ve been searching but not luck… can you help me with that
My washer will not enter diagnostic mode. It doesn't spin, doesn't fill with water, does lock lid. It just makes a weird clicking sound. Any ideas?
Mine does the same thing. Did you ever figure out what was wrong with it? Mine just started doing this after two loads this past weekend.
@@jeffmejia2978any solutions?
Ty so much
hi i was wondering if you could help us out we have this same washer and it wont spin or drain..and it codes hot.warm..thankyou !
Is there anywhere to get just the sensor, no need to replace the entire clutch assembly is there?
Great instructions, I got Samsung top load WA45M7050AW/A4 4 years old and the water pump rubber toilet flapper like check valve is separated from the rubber bushing holding on the orifice. Those who gave me the washer told me that it wasn't spinning at times and I suspect that the flapper just got wedged and blocked the port at least partially so too much of water was perhaps sitting in the basket and sensor didn't allowed to spin it. No code is displayed and if there was one, they didn't record it so I don't know.
When the pump runs, I can hear the flapper ticking/knocking so I am looking for that part and it maybe an issues to find it.
When it spins, I don't see and hear water shooting into the basket like on other washers helping to flush out debris and detergents, maybe not included option of this model, manual has no mentioning about it.
Thank you very much for this. I cleaned the sensor and things are working again. Fingers crossed it keeps on keeping’ on.
Thats awesome. Im im glad the video helped 🤝💪
I have the same washer, it does no spin but does make a grinding noise everything else does work properly. My sensor had a lot of grease on it so I cleaned it put it back but it did not correct it. My main worry though is the grinding noise it makes. It l lasts about 2 or three seconds stops then does it again and again. What should I be looking for?
Just subscribed. Keep em coming. 💯
Got more coming. 💪
@@JesseApplianceRepair could be so kind to do a diagnosis on top load spin issues? Song mid cycle or repeating cycle 🚲 🤔
@@504ksh what brand is the washer. Tell me as much info as you can and i can help you diagnose it. What is it doing. What cycles have you tried etc.
@@JesseApplianceRepair purpose of switch, and like a stator motor. How to cancel 1 or the other out? I'm a student
@@504ksh so the stator is a Magnentic motor. The machine has a regular motor or a stator to operate. both have a sensor where it detects the position and speed of the tub. clutch changes gears from agitation to spin mode.
So it's my sensor or my capacitor. Those are my two choices on a code of small which is telling me my water hose or pump might be clogged or frozen water which is not the case cuz I'm living in Florida unless you disagree but your video has been very helpful. Thank you so much my brother
Check the filter to make sure there is no dirt on the connections of your hoses

Hello, I have this model washer. It will only work on rinse and spin, will run through the whole cycle. None of the wash cycles will work, it adds a little water then starts flashing with a buzzing sound. Could this be a sensor issue also? Thank you!

How can I replace the clear pipe from the back of the washer I have a hole on it but the clear pipe but dk how to replace it. Since I have to unscrew thru the back where the water pipes connect the hot and cold
I have the same model, and the same problem. It doesn't complete the cycle, switch to rinse and spin and it tries to start but stops on spin. And when it does finally start to spin it doesn't spin that fast and the cloths are still very damp. So, I'll have to look at it again more closely because I just checked the drain hoses they were not clogged. Jesus thanks for a step-by-step explanation. You are the man Bro.
Did it work I am having the same problem.
@@smiley10261bad sensor problem If your does not spin out
@@raymondblakley3731 This sounds like the same problem I'm having. The machine gets hung up in spin cycle, and the cycle doesn't complete. The hot and warm LED's are flashing in diagnostic mode, which the manual tells me means either the machine or load is out of balance, but I checked it out and that is not the problem. Do you think I need to replace the sensor?
@@misterdrummingswhat the brand if it a Samsung washer top load and you replaced all four shocks then you will need a new spin basket assembly
I have been trying to locate that tmr sensor. Can you help me out, please? Thanks. Al.
Would you have an idea for a similar model washing machine, not entering final spin cycle. The drain pump keeps running drum won't enter spin. Tried cleaning out the drain pump and all of the hoses. Did not reconcile problem. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
make sure the machine is not going off balance, that will restart the spin cycle. if that's ok and you already checked the water pump. then check the water level switch. most of the time is round with a clear whose. that's usually located near the brain. i will undo the whose and blow sometimes you will hear bubbles inside the tub. that's just to remove any debris that might got stuck while a cycle. if the machine thinks there's still water the pump will run constant and wont go into final spin. also see if your machine has a HALL sensor. that also affects going to final spin. it detects the speed and rotation of the motor. let me know
@@JesseApplianceRepair will give that a try a let you know.... thanks for the info!
Really would appreciate your help, I have the same model machine but the lock light is not coming on and it keep staying in a spinning mode but water is not going in to the machine.
I have the same model washer. I did a diagnostic test and the Large light is flashing. The washer would start an run water longer than usual starts to wash and cuts off giving me the Large light blinking. What could this possibly be?
Have this same washer but it wont drain, i cheak the water pump its not clogg and the lil cable underneath still intack. Could you tell me what could be the problem please if you can.?
Hi Jesus, I have a problem with a Samsung wobble top loader WA13F that will not spin. I have replaced the drain pump and main pc board as the drain motor does not get power to engage the gearbox to spin. Please advise what could be the problem. Thank you ,Riaan.
Where did you buy new sensor?
I also experienced malfunctions where the machine did not get filled quickly or at all, or that it would not complete the spinning cycle with about eight minutes on the clock remaining. The solutions were easy. The first problem was easy to sort out. I loosened the water inlet hose at the back of the machine and removed the sieve on the inside of the pipe at the inlet point. After I cleaned the sieve and installed it again, the problem of filling was gone. The second problem was just as easy. At the outlet, there is also a filter which can be cleaned. I have found some thin string that wound up and caused the water pump to stop functioning which caused the machine to stop. I just removed the string and the machine runs 100% and I did not have to buy a new water pump, motherboard or electrical spares. Needless to say, I saved plenty of money and did not enrich the scammers who would take your money without blinking twice.
What did he clean the oil with?

Hi. I have a WA40J3000AW/AA that is doing the same thing. I checked the capacitor connections, stripped the insulation from TMR sensor to check for a broken wire and cleaned it. It still won’t spin. I put it in diagnostic mode and the hot water light blinks. I changed the door sensor, but still not spinning. It will fill, agitate, drain, but still not spin…Any suggestions?
usually those machines will lock at the beginning of the cycle. so if the lock was the issue it would not start. i saw you changed it which is the main code HOT WATER indicated. but now on the spin we have to check for any damaged wires going to either the actuator or capacitor. disconnect them and inspect them all the way around. I've seen occasions were the rip of the cable from the capacitor is behind and its hard to see unless you bend or turn the cable. if all that is OK then check the actuator is pulling the clutch to go into spin. if that is ok also check to make sure the machine is not going off balance. those machines had a recall so they added a tub sensor if it shakes a lot it will stop and restart the spin cycle and if it keeps shaking it will stop. NOTE ( TMR sensor uses 3 magnets inside the black plastic where it spins. removed the gear where the sensor is located and you should see a black rubber that covers the gears carefully remove it and inspect it to make sure the small magnets are there. they are small square shape. if they are make sure to clean that rubber peace and magnets so the grease wont interfere with the TMR sensor readings. Let me know what you find
Loved ur vid. Hope I can fix my spin on same samsung washer. You think you can send the links for : sensor, capacitor and actuator. Gonna start w/ the sensor n 🙏
In the description I have the link to the TMR sensor and clutch assembly. What is your machine doing. ?
@Jesus Montoya it makes sound like its about to start spin, makes bad noise for a few seconds, then stops and starts wash again. Already changed the susoension rods.
I see the link but it is for the whole clutch assembly it is too much money,,, Can't I just buy a sensor?
Thanks for posting this video! Someone gave me a similar washer, it didn't spin. I found that the TMR sensor wires were broken so I repaired them. I tried to turn on the spin cycle without hooking it up to water, but it won't spin. Do I need to hook it up to water for it to work?
Under spin only no. Only if it says rinse and spin then yes. Let me know
SO, after I left it unplugged for a few hours, I plugged it in and ran the spin cycle. This time it spun the drum, I could see it from under the washer!
The water pump was running too but no water came out. I can hear a little bit of water sloshing around in the machine but it's not reaching the pump, because the hose is empty. Is that normal?
@@tudor888 yup that noise is normal. It does it when theres not enough water to drain. Pump will stay on for a while then goes into high spin then stops for a little bit then it starts draining again.
Thanks so much for the prompt reply! I'll hook it up to water and test it tomorrow.
PS: You're awesome!
Bro what is responsible for determining the water level on these model I have one that is giving 2 problem
1st When adjust to the level of water eg : medium or high on completion of fulling to that level it automatically goes to Extra High on fulling level, the rense process is the same .
2nd issue: during the spin process coming to the completion process it starts nocking around in the drum ( Bang Bang Bang ) and the item been spin never get dry .
And do these unit come with a tech sheet hidden anywhere in the machine
Can you tell me the part number for the nylon sensor you are replacing in the video..? Many thanks
That's what I want to know!
Hi, I have this exact washer, and it stop spinning, and it's making a noise when it comes on, and it's not doing anything at all, can you help me, I kind of think I put in to many jean pants as well
Thanks for explaining about the sensor on DC68-03172B-03. What is the part number or name of it and where can I get it?
Or then what does that repair cost?
sorry for the delay. the sensor comes with the whole clutch assembly. ive called Samsung but they dont sell that part by itself. Dont know why.
I washed a blanket on bedding. It washed but it would spin or rinse. I left it alone for a while then started a normal cycle for a test without clothes. And it went through its cycle without interruption. I repositioned the blanket just in case it was unbalanced. And as I mentioned before it did not spin or rinse. What could be the problem? Any advice? Thanks.
I assume the washer is similar to the one I have on the video... if that's the case then it sounds like the blanket is going of balance when it wants to start to spin. First make sure the washer drains all the water completely. if it doesn't then the pump is the issue.. bad pump or something stuck.. if it does drain next thing is checking the washer in other cycles by itself. no clothes. try at least 3 different cycles.... if the washer completes all the cycles then The shocks of the washer are the issue..even if you balance the load at the beginning the washer will still agitate and move the blanket around while in the cycle. and when it trys to spin it might shake and restarts itself and after a few trys it will stop. one way to check if the shocks are good in the washer is by pressing down on the tub while empty (no water - no clothes) . SO you put your hand inside the tub while completely empty and press down and release quick. if the tub goes down and up and stays the shocks are good. If the Tub Bounces more then once when released then the Shocks are bad. Let me know
So ive tried cleaning rhe sensor off and it still wont do anything, but i cant seem to find where to buy a new sensor/accuator, would you happen to have a link? To said parts?
can a loose drive belt cause it not to spin?
First of all, thank you for this detailed video buddy. I have a question and I hope you can answer me. My samsung washer, exactly like the one in this video, after first wash it starts draining for only 2-3 sec and then stops. I know its not pump because It drains on spin easy. I checked wires and everything is good. This is the second samsung washer thats been doing the same thing. So it adds water, agitates, then when its time to do first drain and go rinse after it, it drains only couple of seconds and machine stops completely. I changed actuator and control board. Please help if you can. Keep up the good work
So ive had a similar issue in the past to what you mentioned. and it was the cables coming from the Computer board to the Pump that were bad. So you mentioned on the other cycle the pump drains. so that seems to be good. so get a multimeter and run the washer when its time to drain check the ports coming from the board to the pump ( the two cable connectors. ) most of those pumps should be 115 volts. Make sure you are getting the full 115-120 volts. If you are getting less the cable is the issue. Let me Know what you find.
WA40J3000WA washer motor spins continually upon power on. This machine has had an initial problem of unbalance which was cleared by replacing all 4 balancing rods, Capacitor replaced, TMR Sensor replaced, and shift actuator has been replaced. All replaced for multiple issues found caused by the initial unbalance. At the moment there are NO fault codes but the motor runs continuously from power "on" and turns off 5 seconds after power button is pressed. The machine does not go into spin because the motor does not stop/pause to engage the gears and grinds the gears.
Same
I just got the same washer and there's black grease leaked on everything what do you think caused that? The grease is on the belt pulley and has even gotten slung to the springs
Actually I figured out where the black grease came from. Someone tried to fix the springs/rods using sticky grease and it didn't work. Now I'm thinking that sticky grease is on the sensor. Funny thing is the washer worked before sending it back out the door but now customer says it doesn't work at all.
