    I laughed at the hateful Samsung beginning, because that is exactly how I felt about this washer. I watched it twice, ordered the parts, and followed it again as I undertook the repairs. In less than an hour, this 60 year old grandmother had everything fixed, and a load of laundry was spinning properly for maybe the first time ever! I also noticed that the water level in the machine seemed to be a bit higher, and the clothes were moving around like they should, whereas before, it never seemed to have enough water in the machine during the wash cycle. I can't thank you enough. Oh, and your helper is utterly adorable!!

I was worried I would have to spend a ton on appliance repair, but I was able to use your video to fix it myself for the price of the rods only from amazon. Thanks so much. Your video was so easy to follow for a beginner. I've never repaired any kind of appliance like this and I fixed it in less than an hour! This saved me around $450. I bought the $45 parts on Amazon as the original parts cost quite a bit more. It took me about 45 minutes to install and it works like new. The rods were stuck in with some glue, so I had to use a pliers to hold them and pull them out. Overall easy. I do have an extra screw, but I'll figure that out later.

    Wow Chris, I wish I’m handy as you. My washer made a lot of sound and I searched and it’s the bearing that holds the drum. There’s also smell of smoke too coz it burns the rubber inside already. My washer was front load. It’s an older washer (2007). Since the tutorial on RUclips is very taxing (coz I have to take everything out), I just bought a new washer, and I wanted the dryer to be the same, so I bought a new dryer too (and sold the old one).

    OEM are either unobtainable, or cost prohibitive if the advertised ones are legit. I decided to try a different $35 Amazon set from the green “upgrades” we put in a few months ago. Advertised as resolving our issue, with hundreds of favorable reviews. Installed last night. Also did the recalibration process again. Two loads and no banging or uR code yet. I’m still skeptical, as our original replacement set seemed to work better for a little while. I’m thinking this washer design is just flawed in general. If the issue happens again, we may try to create and install bigger bumpers to put on the sides of the washer so the drum can’t move around as much. If that fails it will be a new washer from a different brand with the same flawed suspension design.

    • @ChrisThedudenurse
      @ChrisThedudenurse  7 дней назад +1

      It’s definitely a flawed washer design. Theres too many people having the exact same issue, and I’ve never heard of another washer doing this.

    • @ChrisThedudenurse
      @ChrisThedudenurse  Месяц назад +2

      You could try to calibrate it 1st, install the new rods, then calibrate it again and see if that helps. These really are not very well built machines.

    • @cathylangfitt
      @cathylangfitt 20 дней назад +1

      Hey Chris the Dude Nurse. This is Cathy. The high spin speed of the washing machine can actually mess any of the breakable laundry up unless any of the breakable laundry is both thick and soaked in lots and lots and lots of water and just the medium spin speed only is good enough for any of the breakable laundry that is not thick and both soaked in lots and lots and lots of water.

    Update - our washer is banging like crazy again with small loads placed very obsessive-compulsively evenly around the drum. We replaced the rods a few months back. Another video on this topic says as of a month or so ago that the recommended rods from Amazon can no longer be trusted. He recommends the OEM rods. I can’t understand how that will help unless Samsung has corrected the problem. I guess I will try to contact them.
