Yeah, I have no idea why the snail thinks only because the American f100D gets aim 9e it should be 10.0. I'd rather have no missiles with 9.7.

F100 is becoming my favorite fighter jet to play, especially in sim. So forgiving yet so lethal. Coming from a family of F4 pilots 😂 Awesome video
What Gaijin should do is that if the American F-100D has AIM-9B's equipped, it should be 9.7 and if it has the AIM-9E's equipped, it should be 10.0.
I've been saying this about quite a few aircraft for ages. It makes too much sense for them to do this though, so I doubt it will happpen.
This plane is borderline cancerous when it goes against 8.7s like j29s or g91s. I've found that half the players will just run away for half the match and screw up the gameplay for everyone.
You should be able to out fuel an F100 pretty easily, at least as long as he's not in space....
Good to know. Only time when I've killed this thing is when it's going vertical and i have alt over him.
The real problem is that the planes it has to fight against. I recently am using the american f100d and even tough it has aim4e and nice guns, it faces with F4s, mig19s and mig21s. It doesn't have power against them so it is a nightmare to play with those days :(
Yep the non US variants lose the 9Es but have a super generous mm

6:21 Unfortunately if you use some tools to find the hidden statistics of the aircrafts, you will find the super mystere actually loses power when it hits high speed.
There was alot of talk about that when they first changed the thrust mechanics, and I definitely saw it initially, currently though the SMB does alright in the power category. I'm not saying it was fixed, it could be just my imagination but it doesn't feel as bad as it was.
"Aim- 9E at 9.7 isn't good", 7 months later.... SRAAMS at 9.3
I can't believe i played stock french f100d for 90 games, now that I think of it. I guess warthunder made me a big masochist.
I like how gaijin will have a vehicle in one tech tree at a different BR than the identical vehicle in a different tech tree.

Yep, messed with them last night. We nicknamed them 'run away simulators'. That's about all they can do
WhooptieDo Lol. I plan on getting one, since I already have the F-4C, the F-4E is being nerfed (it is going to have its leading edge slats removed), and my amazing US 8.7 ground lineup is getting ruined which means I no longer have as much of a reason to get the A-4.

@@Allwin-lz6yj It can, but if the f100 decides to not play the game and just climb away, the only aircraft that has a chance to catch it is the lansen. I'm just saying that if it's performance is so much higher, than it should not fight them. But mig-17s can take care of f100 much easier. What we really need right now is BR decompression.
Meanwhile Hunter FGA with AIM9Es staying @9.7 just to get a punch from snail @8.7 because why not.

Hunter FGA.9 is VERY powerful now too.

Just started researching this plane but the saber in front of it cost 99000 silver lions that I just got done researching so I can't imagine how much this is going to cost im going to have to grind for both of these planes because 100000 lions is all I have

Welcome to the world of tethering. Many of us here play Warthunder only by tether. I hope you're using something like PDAnet!
Nah, I direct connect my PC to phone, tethered over USB. I used to exclusively tether, for about a year I lived in my travel trailer to save some major money... it was awesome, but its far from perfect. My only real concern is blowing through the data limit on my 'unlimited' connection, if you catch my drift. I don't know when verizon will shut me off, but I usually don't go past 100GB a month to be safe.
WhooptieDo that's why a lot my squadron and In use PDAnet. It's still a direct USB tether, the program masks the connection so your provider doesn't flag the connection as hotspot usage. Under your ToS tethering is classified under Mobile Hotspot. I used a little over 150gb last billing cycle, never saw a slow down

Honestly 9.5 would be nice 😭 no facing MiG 15s or stuff like that, just MiG 17/17Fs, Sabre’s, Super Sabre’s, Hunters, etc. pretty fair but I fought Gaijin would implement a 5 in their 0, 3, 7 rule of BRs.

This is weird, the F-100 was added with the Mig-19 and now one of them had to be downtiered while the other was kept at 10.3 with artificial buffs... idk there is something weird not seeing the F100 facing its main counterparts

F-100D must be my favorite Jet in the game because it is the best of all world, haven't played it recently, but the guns are so good, maneuverability is great and you out-accelerate many things if not all, only problem is you burn to 4-5secs of fuel with afterburner on deck but that's ok, would be even more OP without it xD

I’m still having a blast flying it though, even in full uptiers. Not too many matches but all of them have been fun, especially when flying in a group with another 2 super Sabres saved my ass
Mig-21 MF behind me? I break hard to avoid any missiles and pull him into a defensive spiral. He can’t keep up because he’s pulling his nose up too hard. Still manages to crit my rudder but the fellow f-100 deletes him
Interesting thing that happened. When I rolled afterward the plane slipped hard and that caused me to crash. Seems like the real life issue of the rudder and roll problem is actually a thing in WT :/

I feel like you could have stuck the landing and J'ed out when you came to a full stop to negate the reload/repair time and be able to take off again.

I probably could have, but the F100 doesn't stop very fast, even with the chute. I overlooked how slow the flaps were though on my go around. Thanks bud
The 9.7 jets are really enjoying because they totally destroying the 8.7 jets.
A good pilot can still hang in the 8.7 jets. The problem is, those are hard to find these days.

It truly is. If missiles weren't a problem though, it could honestly do VERY well. I've had some good matches in the american one, ONLY because I managed to avoid Aim9J's on my butt.
WhooptieDo yeah, and every advantage it had over most of the planes which was mainly speed, was completely obsolete once planes like the MiG-21SMT and the Phantom’s came out.
@@AmericanDesertEagle pretty much. I will say that it's energy retention is amazing right now compared to those planes. I won most of the fights vs mig 21s and even F4Es when I did fly it. Again that's only because I managed to avoid missiles on my six.

I have footage, its a very good competitor.... but Aim9J's just straight trash this plane. Take away missiles altogether and it would be fun. Without countermeasures, top tier is just not fun.

this plane was good but now with the Harriers, playing the F100D is just pain
That's a pretty standard response across the board for most aircraft in its range.

Hell of a lot of fun to bring out the Taiwanese f100a and killing f100ds. The f100a is sketchy as fak to land since it doesn’t have flaps.

Im pissed off the Hunter FGA.9 is still 9.7. 2x AIM9Es (real life payload was 4) on a subsonic brick plane that barely turns. When I bought the plane it was amazing and balanced but now you just die to supersonics with 4x AIM9Js with 30g of overload. How is that fair?

I honestly hate this 9.7 BR stuff. With the YS and F-100 at 9.7. It becomes so much harder to play anything from 8.7 to 9.7 because you are always uptiered.

Hi I’m grinding my US tech tree but I’m struggling with my stock F100D 10.0....i face all supersonic jets and often cant dodge missiles...Maybe i will switch on A4B better battle rating ? Do you have an advise how i should play it? Like always very helpful videos and happy to be one of your sub 😉

Why is the Hunter F.6 at 10.0. I know sraams are extremely good but subsonics have more chances of dodging them than supersonics.
I mean, you go from a 1% chance to dodge them as a supersonic to a 1.1% chance to dodge them as a subsonic. At least the supers can outrun the missiles. SRAAMS were a horrible idea... We don't need missiles like that in the game. Subsonics stand zero chance against an F6.
@@WhooptieDo I've always had trouble to lock them on subsonics above 90° angle but supersonics are so hot it can lock 3/4 from the front. A solution would be to give the hunter 2 brs : 9.3 wihtout aam and 10.0 with.
NinPGmer honestly subsonic I find have less chance to dodge them since they have more compression at speeds over 600mph, less split second AOA, and only better sustained turn compared to SuperSonics which have better instantaneous turns and reactionary pulls.
It would really fucking suck to get hit by a missile you can’t even dodge with 0 flares whilst grinding to get to top tier in a stick a5 Sabre. Fuck no, the hunter shall not be under 10.0 😂. That unbalanced jet can fight with thinks like it self that have r60s and Aim 9Js. Atleast theirs a bigger chance if dodging those.
I’d only say this, only somewhat experienced players will know how to dodge missiles in subsonic matches since you have to pre turn, and roll, unlike a super sonic like a Mig 21, or Phantom where you can have instantaneous AOA and pull hard then roll. In subsonic you have to predict a lot more (atleast when I’ve played my FGA 9 against F4eJs)
