      In the more meticulous videos that I've seen they used some sort of vapor heater instead of the microwave, and I myself have tried to do it without the wrapping paper and the dough has dried a bit on the surface which has been a problem afterwards. My mistake was maybe heating it up for too long but I think the wrapping paper is important so the dough doesn't lose water

      Nope. But I used tapioca flour and it worked even better than the rice flour :)

      Normal flour didn't work as traditional mochi is actually just rice being pound up so much that it becomes streachy

    omg I burnt my hands trying to get it out coz patience is a virtue, but simply its not my virtue so my dumbass goes all in gets it stuck all over my finger and burns it and it stays on coz its so sticky, but actually tho this was so yummy ty for the recipie :)
