ㆍPlease turn on caption. (There are subtitles.)
ㆍYou can use any kind of milk.
ㆍYou can substitute potato starch with any other starch.
ㆍThe texture'll be different but you can use regular flour instead of rice flour.
ㆍYou can adjust the amount of sugar according to your taste.
ㆍSprinkling it with cinnamon or vanilla makes it more attractive.

Exactly what people who try this recipe for the first time need. Out of my experience, I would strongly recommend people to use potato and white rice starch because other flours don’t really taste the same. Another thing to consider is that you can use any kinds of sweetener such as honey as long as you know how much of it is good.

i just made this and i have some tips:
    - you need *glutinous* rice flour not just plain rice flour
    - it's going to be liquid in the pan for a long time so you need to wait
    - the "milk cake" doesn't clean itself up even in a non-stick pan and wooden spatula (for me, not sure why)
    - definitely add a few drops of vanilla extract! it does a lot of difference
edit: if you just bring up the heat to medium (around 4-5), it should cook faster!

@@growtocycle6992 15-20 minutes just to fully cook it and get them onto a plate, and then you can eat it/put it in the fridge!
however i think you can shorten the cooking time by just raising the heat in the beginning to maybe around 4, it solidifies faster that way. at least that's what worked for me.

      1. Exercise daily. If you can't go outside or don't have gym equipment then do jumping jacks. Or play some energetic music and dance for 20 minutes until you're sweating and breathing heavily. Personally I did 2 kilometer jogs everyday.
      2. As we Muslims say, eat only until 1/3rd of your stomach is full. Replace 1 meal with fruits. Replace red meat like mutton and beef with white meat like chicken and fish. Reduce the amount of junk food you eat. Add some veggies and reduce the amount of bread and sweets you eat.
There you have it. I lost 38 pounds in 3 months following these two steps.
It takes some getting used to but you'll feel better about yourself by summer.

This is probably my favorite desert to make, it’s really quick And easy to make and I LOVE chewy stuff. I also love how you can just put your own thing to it like adding vanilla extract or cocoa powder or if you want it warm or cold. It’s really nice that after you’ve eaten some, and you what to eat later, you just put it in the fridge and eat the rest later. It’s just overall the best desert to make. It’s also really good how the proportions are so good, it’s not too sweet like a cake (I hate most cakes) and it’s not not sweet, also the amount you make is perfect. if it’s for two people you will have leftovers to freeze and eat later. If it’s 3 people, you can give each person 2 (which is the perfect amount to eat) and if it’s like a party then they’ll just eat it nice and warm. Thank you for telling people about this on RUclips

I tried out this recipe and it came out better then I expected for a first try.
No problems using corn starch if you don't have potato starch.
It was still pretty sticky though I think it was because I did not cook it long enough that it did not come together in one nice lump like in the video as mine (0:52) was taking quite a while (7min+) to form a cohesive dough (0:55) and seemed to be cooking on to the pan sooner than it would form the clean ball. (and my arm was about to fall off from constantly stirring the sticky dough to keep it from cooking on)
I ended up rolling it in to small balls after cooling and cutting the dough using mochi powder (1:1 corn starch & icing sugar) to solve the excess stickiness, or just use corn/potato starch (it's tasteless) to dust if it is already sweet enough.
Will definitely try this recipe again.

i wrote down the recipe in the comments as well as a substitute im using, hopefully it might come in handy for anyone :]
20g of glutinous rice flour (all purpose flour as a substitute, as i dont have this)
40g of potato starch (corn starch as a substitute, i dont think i have potato starch)
3 tablespoons of sugar (adjustable to your liking)
    a pinch of salt
    200ml of milk
a splash of vanilla extract (optional, but it does give more flavor)
add all to a pan on low/medium heat and stir until it becomes like the texture in the video, make sure the milk doesn't burn!
transfer to a plate when it has reached the correct texture and shape, then put it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
cut into bite sized pieces and sprinkle some cocoa powder on top for extra flavor. enjoy :]

I know this is a bit odd but I am a huge lover of matcha so I decided to put my own spin on this recipe. Since you could kneed/shape this into whatever you want, I made them into balls, squished them out, added matcha on it, then folded it so the matcha was inside. I also tried this with Nutella for my baby brother and he loved it! Please note not to add too much because these flavors can be over bearing and just ruin the feel of it. While cooking it I also added a little bit of vanilla extract and it tasted quite nice!

Thank you! I was wondering, who has potato starch and rice flour laying around the house? Maybe we should, they sound like healthier choices but most of us don't, so I Really appreciate this translation! 🤗❤️

I made some of these and I definitely would suggest using rice flour. Wheat flour gives it a grainy and powdery taste, and takes a higher heat to cook, while also making it thicker.

Make sure it is glutinous* rice flour so it gets the correct texture

And what abt cornflour? That is, other than the wheat flour, basically the only type of flour you can get in my city

@@inestabilidad it wont be the same texture as it would be with glutinous rice flour, but you can try! It might be good anyway! :)
