Smart and lovely lady. Randy was smiling down I am sure. He gave music so much in such a short amount of time… unbelievable when you think about it really.
My Grandmother's name was Delores and Randy was born the same year as my father...God Bless Mrs Rhodes and Randy.
I wonder who is in charge of Randy's guitars now that his mom has passed. I would like to think that the public would be able to see them just one more time. Rest in peace Randy and Dee!

just saw a tour of the home/museum and interview with his brother posted just a few days ago...He said they have all Randy Equiptment in a vault ...only he and his sister have the keys and authorization to the vault.
Im sure that its a climate controlled vault to preserve the guitars as much as possible. I was told by a close family friend of the Rhoads' a couple of years ago that Randy's guitars would be more visible once Mrs. Rhoads passed.
I'm glad Randy is with his mom, dad, and grandma. He left behind more than just a few classic guitars. He left a trail of tears just like the Cherokee.
I've never even been to Graceland. Not inside. I miss my grandpa and dad and husband on Tuesdays.

The teaching Randy had in his early days, combined with his natural talent was a killer combo, God knows what he would be capable of now. There is so much overrated shit out there now its ridiculous. Only a few that really deserve to be Guitar Gods and Randy is clearly one of them. Bob Daisley should be mentioned way more than Ozzy as he was his real writing partner. Thankyou Dee for this as well.

in 2005 at the job I was working at we had to make long distance phone calls a lot so I got delores's number from I believe it was Kelly garni Randy's friend.... and I called there and she answered the phone and I got to tell her how much Randy Rhoads means to me, her son! and she appreciated it and thanked me very much when I told her where I was calling from which was NB Canada and then I spoke with Randy's brother Kelle for 45 minutes at least and it was just a really cool cool thing I'll never forget it I spoke to the mother of Randy Rhoads.....

I read where Randy brought home the first QR album for his mother to listen to. She was brutally honest with him and told him it wasn’t very good. Story goes Randy went to the next room and cried b/c he valued his mother’s opinion so much. Later, he came home with a rough mix of Blizzard of Ozz. She perked up and said, “Randy, this is really very good. Now you’re talking!” Read that in Bob Daisley’s book.

I highly disagree with her. Because majority of the best guitarists in history never learned how to read music plus never took lessons.
For example,, srv, clapton, hendrix, slash, beck, evh, etc. it goes on and on. It actually goes for most instrument's. Even the most popular band in history, no members ever took lessons nor read music. I'm talking about the Beatles.

Well The beatles where great writers of lyrics. There guitar didn't hold a candle to Rhoads. Clapton was pretentious asshole when he was younger. He would curse crowd out walk off stage midways at show. When your hooked on Heroin I guess that will make you that way. Clapton Really was a good rock blues player but not elite. The one Thing you were right about Hendrix was amazing and died way to young. Slash was sloppy. And last but not leastly Eddie had a ego the size of this country plus he was drunk on a lot of live shows and sounded awful. He came up with good rhythm techniques but his solos where all over the place and not well conducted. Listen to Mr. Crowley, Revelation, Flying high again and Sato solos. Then listen to eddies solos you cant even compare the 2. Eddies were these little dive bomb things. While Randy's where another song within song a lot harder to learn also vs Eddies.
a lot of those guys are B leaguers and it shows they did not take lessons or learn to read music.
