Fear not! This video will show you how to make No Flip "Over Easy" Eggs- NO FLIP REQUIRED! But you will have to crack them yolks intact so that's on you but I have faith in you.

Thank you so much for the video! My family absolutely loved it! It works perfectly every time and it really is so easy. This will be the only way to make them from now on.
YAY! So glad it worked for you and you have a new way of making a family favorite. Thanks so much for watching and reporting back...it's appreciated!
I have been cooking for decades and this was a tremendous idea..and delightfully taught...I am subscribed thank you!!
I have been doing my eggs this way for years, only difference is I use a cast iron skillet. Over the years it has become smoother than Teflon. One of my skillets belonged to my great-grandfather who was a cook on a cattle drive from Missouri to Colorado, on the mountain branch of the Santa Fe Trail. I will be 75 in a few days, so you can just imagine how old the skillet is.
My grandmother used to just take the spatula and push hot bacon grease onto the top side of egg. Worked great !
Well, This was my first time making any type of egg myself besides Scrambled so since I liked over easy eggs I decided to make these and I think I did good. I accidently cooked the yolk a little but my mom and grandma said for a 12 year old learning to cook I did well for my first time. So thank you for the recipe 💜❤
That is awesome!! I know you'll keep getting better and better every time you make them and anything else you try. That's half the fun! Your comment made my heart so happy! Keep making that magic in the kitchen. :-)
@@MrsKringlesKitchen I will for sure continue to cook I've taken a liking to it :) I see some more of your recipes I On plan on making in the future already
works for omelettes too. I actually mix some water into the eggs, put them in a pan over low heat and cover right away. Open it up a couple minutes later and it's cooked on bottom and mostly on top. Add cheese, toppings to half, fold, take off heat and cover for a couple more minutes. Perfect omelette. If you browned the bottom, you're using too high of a heat.
This method is basted egg cooking. The best way I like my eggs.
Perfect how-to cooking video...Straight, no-nonsense delivery, gets into the how-to immediately...Thank you for this professional presentation ...
I learned this method 55 years ago from mom. I've used it since.
If you use a skillet large enough(preheat nicely) several eggs can work. I've prepared 12 at the same time in one pan. Cast iron is my go-to skillet, in most cases.
Thanks for putting this out there.
As stated, the flip can be difficult in the home.
Mama's are the best! 12 at once, wow! You da man! Thanks so much for the comment!
My grandma did this but she had two hot skillets. As soon as she cracked the eggs into the first skillet, she placed the second super hot skillet over the first like a lid, then lowered the heat on the bottom one. Same result.
thank you dear lady, for this. I've been telling my wife for years this would work and she never agrees. til now😀
Even if the egg yolk breaks when you put it on your plate, you still get the taste and texture. Great video 👍👌👍
I been making my eggs like that for 25 years, yes they come up perfect every time 😊
My mom was so good at this she didn't use a glass lid. Regular metal. I've been making eggs this way for years.
When i ask my sons how do you want your eggs they say the
ONLY way eggs should ever be cooked !
!
You’re so right, the dreaded flip. So I usually use your method of adding a little water. Works great every time 👍.
i love this thank you. ive been incorporating a lot more water into the cooking processes of a lot of my dishes and this just helps
Yup. That is how my Grandmother showed me 65 plus years ago. Works every time ):)
I use this method sometimes and also oil method. If you use oil, you’ll get the crispy stringy edges. You can then also spoon the hot oil over the yolk to cook them.
Girl I can hear you talk about anything all day long!!!! Love that voice
A quick and concise video and now my girlfriend is thrilled more than just scrambled eggs are on the menu from now on. Thanks so much for this! :)
I've always made my eggs that way but I called them sunny side up eggs. But in restaurants I would ask for poached eggs so that the whites would be white, not clear and runny. A while ago I learned that the scrambled eggs I made were actually called frambled eggs. 😄
I've done all my cooking life. Perfect eggs. No flipping at all. Good video.
All this years and now I know how to cook a perfect over easy egg. Life is funny sometimes 😊
I do this, but I fry mine in bacon grease, enough to be able to spoon it over the eggs after they cook covered for the first few minutes. It's the hillbilly way 😊
Great technique. I'm definitely trying this tomorrow. Congratulations on producing a straightforward no nonsense video that gets to the point. Excellent!
Mrs. Kringle what a great idea. I'm one of those guys whose Mom taught him how to cook. I love eggs over easy...I swear it took me years to get the flip down. I can do it now without breaking the yolk, but I am sure glad you made this video so I can show others. :-)
Thank you, Greg! Basted eggs is a great way to get the same result as over easy as long as you go low and slow so you don't overcook the whites.
Now I have to try that love eggs anytime of the day thank you mrs. Kringle
I love the background music, soo relaxing while I watch your cooking tips...
so awesome. another tip ive found with eggs is when you transfer them to the plate they are still cooking in a way because theyre hot, so the timing is everything and not cooking them too much while on the pan.
That's a great tip! Thanks for sharing that!
I'm a truck driver and I use a electric skillet I got a try that that will work just perfectly in there we do a lot of cooking the wife and I in the truck over the road we take off anywhere from one month to 3 months and we eat all the time in the truck thank you and I'm subscribed to your channel I hope you keep the stuff up please let me know
Good idea! Now it's so easy - I don't need to flip the egg anymore... Thanks for showing this!
Tjank you for sharing this... It is the easiest and the most beautiful way
I've made over easys like this since my aunt showed me this method. It works every time and the eggs are perfect. She probably got this idea from your site!
I tried this, this morning. It WORKS!
YES!!! TYSM. I only eat scrambled eggs, but for my boyfriend I’ll make them over easy. And it’s still not second nature to me so some days I’ll easily slip up. This is a life saver!😘😘😘
Yay!! So glad it can be of help to you!
Been doing this for years. Hadn't thought of the water/steam aspect though. Thanks.
Thanks for a short trip down memory lane. My Dad only ever ate basted eggs, and I was unaware there were other ways to cook them until I was at least a teenager.
Aww, thanks for sharing that sweet story!
actually what works even better is keep the lid hot ! just like you would for omlets the steam and hot lid will do the job quite well been using this method for decades and it works great !
brilliant!!!
I would never have thought of this .
...and it works !
thank you.
My mom taught me this back in the 60's when I was 7 years old
I'm 66 yrs. 'young'...LOL...and I was raised with carefully getting the oil over the top using the spatula...making waves...as someone already mentioned. I have never broken a yoke when flipping but sure have broken lots of yokes when first breaking them into the pan. Sometimes the fried egg I wanted winds up as a scrambled egg...good either way..LOL.
You're still just a whippersnapper. ;-) Thanks for sharing your method and you're right, even if it ends up scrambled, it's still good!
I think the problem with breaking the yoke as you put it into the pan is cracking the yoke on the side of the pan. Crack it on a flat, immoveable surface instead. Once you've broken the shell, even a little, break the shell open with your hand (don't do any more banging on the flat surface!) The yoke seems to be able to handle the ragged shell much better than the banging to crack the shell. Sometimes, though, if the eggs are not really fresh, you're fighting a losing battle.
Take a spoon, whack the side of the egg. Start gentle and work up the force till it cracks, never break another yoke again. Also thanks for the video, this is very helpful.
66 and using “LOL” not bad :D
Just made these thank you so much, never knew how to do them like this 😍😍😍
Yay! So glad you had success with them!
I'm going to try this in a couple hours - thanks
Wonderful, yet so simple. Thank you
I just tried it right now, and it worked perfectly 👍thanks
Thanks, this helped me a lot. I was never able to master the flip.
Love this!! Thanks for sharing!
This looks good! I'll try it ASAP ...
Great video! I love eggs, but I hate the flip because half the time I break the yoke. Now I know better. This is the best video I've watched about cooking eggs.
Thanks so much, James! Basted eggs are a great way to get the over easy appearance without the risk of the flip!
My Mom loves her Eggs Over-Easy!! I love this, MAGIC!!!!
Ellen's Homemade Delights I think Mom might just have to give this a go! 😉 Have a great weekend!
This is AWESOME! Yeah the flip can really ruin a fine over easy egg, this is much better, so instead of settling for "sunny side up", I do this and better enjoy my over easy eggs! Thank you for sharing this Mrs. Kringle! :)
Thanks so much, Joe! It doesn't matter *how* you get to the end result, as long as you get there! Have a great day!
This is my favorite method! Grandma taught me this back when I was little
Thanks so much, Candace!
I thought about this but wasnt sure until I saw this video. Thanks for the tip. Eggs came out wonderful!
Great to hear, Joss! So glad it helped!
I love the flip! It does suck when i break it though! Lol! Have a nice day!
Thanks... I have never been able to make these...I just did and yummy!!😋
Seen this years ago with chef jacques pepin works like a charm.
Thank you! I didn’t know how to make my moms favourite eggs until I watched this for Mother’s Day 😁
Hope you love 'em!
It's a great mathod for melting cheese on top of a burger patty, too.
Also, if you don't have a lid for your skillet, you can make a little "tent" from aluminium foil, but you would have to take a peek every few seconds to check how the cooking is progressing.
Sure is! Thanks for the foil tip!
ooh im so doing that and going to make a little handle built in!
Perfect! Thank you!
Same way I do my eggs. LOL, I never could understand flipping them! Thanks for the video!
So easy, right!? You're very welcome and thanks for stopping by!
I’ve been cooking my eggs like this for years. Only I just use the egg shell full of water. No water in the skillet when they are done. Perfect measure.
Tried today and it worked perfectly...thank you.
You're very welcome!
Excellent tip!
I love this way. Thank you.
Excellent advice. Thank you so much
I always ask hubby to cook my eggs because I either over cook or break them during flipping. I may try this next time I want eggs! With my luck, I’ll do it too slowly and the yolk will be too hard on the bottom! LOL
I AM SO HAPPY I FOUND YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH
I am NEW THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING Mrs kringle AND MAKING IT EASY FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME WHO CAN NOT COOK THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING AND YOUR TIME AND AWAY TO GET PRINT OUT THANK YOU HAVE A GREAT EVENING
I will definitely try it !
Will definitely give this a try.
Been doing it that way since the 60's.
Poop you let the secret out. I’ve been using this method for years!
I've been using that cooking way since the 80s...
Holy geez I’m doing it rn and it actually works I’m mind blownnn
Whoah.... k my mind just shorted out. All lol them eggs I wasted. Old dog just learned a new trick. Thanks kringle lady.
Hello!! Ahhh yes no other way to eat em.. wow never heard of smoke salt. Beautiful job.
That is exactly how I cook mine... Love it! :)
Yay! I LOVE not having to flip those things and say a prayer while doing it! It's hard enough sometimes just to get the egg in the skillet without breaking it much less have to tempt fate a second time!
Exactly!!!! On the ham and eggs video, you watched I tried it with a springform pan.. it worked but I did break one... always in such a hurry with live videos. I have also used a handled torch for just a second.. works like a charm if you have one area that is being difficult. I really like eggs barely done... so this is for sure the method for me... Love the channel.. have a good one :) and your intro video rocks!
I have been doing this for many years, and everyone thinks I am the ultimate egg chef! It really does make a nice egg, just keep heat low or eggs will cooking bottom too much and you get very little loose yolk! Thank you for sharing and you make a very nice video! Fun music!
I am glad to find this video and will try it tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.
You're very welcome! Basted eggs are a great way to get the appearance of over easy eggs without the nerve-wracking flip. Just make sure your temp is low and slow and you'll do great!
Hi Mrs. Kringle Kitchen. Thank you for replying. Thank you for reminding me to set the temperature low. I did not get a chance to try it yet. But I intend to this coming weekend. I will post the results.
Yass!!! You just blew my mind! I am trying this immediately!
Wow, Now no more flipping, thanks for sharing.
You're very welcome!
This made my eggs absolutely perfect thank you
So glad to hear it, Hannah!
love that way,we in the uk use veg sunflower or rapeseed oil, back in the day the 80s 70s & 60s we used lard and beef dripping, buts its very unhealthy and heavy,so oil ! but say 3-4 tablespoons, then use the spatular to flick hot oil over the yolk, then when its done tilt the pan to let the egg have a few seconds to burn off as much fat as desiered
This is how I have done mine for years. So easy
Wonderful!!!! Thank you for that secret!!!
Woah this genius!!!! I'm trying this now!!!
Yum. I love eggs. This was a great way to avoid the dreaded flip! Tfs. :)
Yes it is! Thanks for watching!
Great video! In the restaurant industry we call these "basted easys" 😃
Hello lovely lady, nice to find your channel. You have some awesome recipes. I love eggs and will try your technique! TFS. New subbie here!
Thanks so much for the sweet comment! Subbed to you as well! Looks like some yummy stuff!
Great tip and great video
I've been doing this for years.
Being a man and liking to keep it simple. i use the lid upside down to retrieve just enough water to cook the top side.
Nice recipe idea, you may know this one for boiled eggs, if you do, just delete.place eggs in a pan and cover about 1 inch with water, put on a tight lid and bring to a rapid boil and let boil for 1 to 1 and half minutes, remove from heat and place on non heated burner. Leave covered in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes, pour hot water out and peel under cool running water, you will never have that green or gray ring around your solid yolks, works every time
Thankyou for this video!
must try !!! looks perfect
thanks
You're very welcome!
