INGREDIENTS:
1 tbsp Pork lard (or any oil you prefer)
1 pound / 450g lean ground beef
1 Onion
2 garlic cloves
1 cup / 240 ml heavy cream or milk
1 tsp thyme
1 tsp Sage
Salt, Black pepper
2 Handfuls Spinach (optional)
2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
7-9 Mushrooms
4 Potatoes
4 ounces / 115g Gruyère cheese
Bake until potatoes are very tender, 60 to 75 minutes at 350 °F / 180°C
Uncover and cook until golden brown, about 10 minutes more

I made this using 1.25 lbs of skirt steak diced fine, as for a stir-fry. And golden potatoes, cleaned but skin-on. Seriously delicious!

I'm a widow myself. I make a one skillet dinner often. Very easy. Boneless chicken breast works great. Pork chop too. Just start the meat with light seasoning. Drizzle olive oil and add small chopped potatoe. Put a lid on it. Low heat. Half way through add handful of your favorite frozen veggies. Put the back on and cook on low heat until done! No leftovers and easy clean up too. I hope this was helpful. I've been widow for almost 20 years now. I hope you are doing ok today! 😊❤

Similar to Cobbler or Hotpot from here in UK, and similarly deliciious I am sure. I would just think of adding some diced carrots as an extra flavour, and maybe a little wine or beef stock?

65. Blue blooded American, who grew up in a lower income family in the late 60s early 70s. We ate pinto beans and potatoes every night. On Friday nights we got bread with it. We also got to drink milk on Friday night. Friday was the best day of the week.
I have been using this recipe for years. My grandmother used to feed us like that. We were a family of 13 very satisfying.❤

Being Hispanic and growing up in New Mexico, we ate this often, and is still my favorite meal to this day, but with out all the extra stuff in this video. All you need is your meat,papas and green chile and a tortilla.

I made this today. I made small changes by using ground turkey instead of beef, adding one additional garlic clove, and a pinch of nutmeg when I added the spinach. Absolutely delicious!

WRONG!! I'm no professional and I've been cooking meals like this for over 60 years. Cooking from scratch is so much more healthy and delicious than the junk meals in the freezer section at the grocery store. Cooking is not a rocket science. Once you learn a few basics cooking from scratch is easy and very satisfying.

You don't need oil with ground beef. But I make a hamburger/potato/onion/bell pepper dish all in one pan. Once potato is soft, turn down to simmer and add shredded cheese and put on a lid until melted. Children love it!
Edit: I used garlic and spices, too.

Finally something that only has, potatoes, mushrooms, and onions. It's pretty much all my father and I eat, choice of meat and then potatoes with onions. As for cooked veggies, that's as far as I go. I don't really prefer cooked carrots, peas, or green beans because of different taste and the mushy texture, compared to raw veggies in a salad. I will have to make this for sure.
I made your recipe for dinner tonight. I didn’t have any heavy cream or milk so I used soup stock. Also made it more spicy. I will see what happens in one hour. Love all your recipe videos too.
