Good video! Your the only person who shown getting that nylon ring through and out! I am having a hell of a time getting that over the crank and the plate all the way on.
This would be fine on my 1998 12 valve right? im leaking a shit ton of oil and im almost positive its from this front main... please reply to this if you know that the seal and stuff he used in the video would work for me!
Didn't look like you did a kdp. Also got the install tool from Amazon. Mine didn't work with the repair sleve seal. I have a lathe so I could machine the land on the to accommodate the id of the seal.
My depth gauge fit in the hole very tightly. I had to bang it in all the way first then press the seal in from the other side. Now it leaks! What did I do wrong?
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my login password. I would appreciate any help you can offer me.
@Branson Brendan i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
One of the best vids for demonstrating the front crank seal on the 6bt. Thanks.
Easily the best video by far on the front main seal. Thank you so much!
Awesome indepth teaching. Videos like this gives me confidence to be able to do these jobs myself.
Best front cover video on RUclips

Whats the tool part number? Ebay doesn't have it any more
Do you have to do the same for the 8.3 cover?
If that’s the same seal setup the ISC 8.3 has, that’s not a depth gauge….it’s a dust shield to keep debris out of the seal lip.

He did do the kdp, you can’t see the dowel pin by the bolt
@@thatgraysuburban oh
I have heard that you should have 3 bolts snug before pulling out the seal protector/guide...it was said that the plastic piece is also a locater....
Is this the 8.3
Arent you supposed to take the plastic off

Did you ever figure out what happened because mine did the same thing
@Sailor Bacon No, I just add oil :)
If I pull the front cover to do the front cover seal do I need to do the crank seal?
Good idea to do it. I thought my timing cover was leaking but it was the crank seal
@@fluffygamer5335 awesome thanks so much
Will this help fix an oil leak?
Well if it’s leaking from the crank seal then yes lol
