Did you have the tapered side of the repair sleeve towards the engine or out to the radiator side? I cant seem to get the seal fit over the repair sleeve on the crank. Also, i have the same issue with the seal not fitting the tool 😅. Bought another seal.
@@fastdadgarage-northsouthch4418can agree w you on that, got the same tool that you had to modify. Ended up busting one $60 seal then had to buy another one and i barley got the seal to seat and i think the things leaking after 5 months. That tool you showed i have never seen before! Will use on the next fix! 😂
My 2000 RAM has a nice Balancer wobble, but not as bad a yours. I just ordered the installer tool. Thank you for the video.
Hope it works good for you, thanks for watching
Nice job. I wonder how many times in my life I’ve cried stupid tool, but actually had the wrong tool 🤔
Exactly…lol

I don’t recall the taper. I will say the seal required more force then I expected to get it on.
Sounds great
@@Vater1 thanks. No oil leaks so far
Did you not use an OEM Cummins seal?
No I didn’t. Wanted to see how this one would work. So far no problems
You know when you have to alter the tool that is designed to install a seal at a perfect depth, your doing something wrong
Or the tool wasn’t designed correctly…no leaks.
