    the seal housing should only be torque down to 80 inch lb.

    That mark is from a bolt coming loose on torque converter

    I think you put the gasket in wrong because the outer protrusion of the flange faces on the inside which you'll never be able to see the rubber part faces on the outside towards you it looks like you put the steel part going out towards you before the flex plate would go on which would be wrong at least that's how it looks

    so a guy should replace the pan gasket first?

      On some cummins engines the leak could be from 3 places , rear main seal , pan gasket or from between the seal carrier and block.
      Some engines have an O-ring behind that seal carrier that can leak but it looks like its coming from the sump gasket .
