This would be fine on my 1998 12 valve right? im leaking a shit ton of oil and im almost positive its from this front main... please reply to this if you know that the seal and stuff he used in the video would work for me!
Good how to protect the under carriage inexpensively. Thank you.
Good instructional video. Thank you.
Do you have to do the same for the 8.3 cover?
Good video! Your the only person who shown getting that nylon ring through and out! I am having a hell of a time getting that over the crank and the plate all the way on.
Arent you supposed to take the plastic off
Awesome indepth teaching. Videos like this gives me confidence to be able to do these jobs myself.
Best front cover video on RUclips
If that’s the same seal setup the ISC 8.3 has, that’s not a depth gauge….it’s a dust shield to keep debris out of the seal lip.
Easily the best video by far on the front main seal. Thank you so much!
Whats the tool part number? Ebay doesn't have it any more
Is this the 8.3
Didn't look like you did a kdp. Also got the install tool from Amazon. Mine didn't work with the repair sleve seal. I have a lathe so I could machine the land on the to accommodate the id of the seal.
He did do the kdp, you can’t see the dowel pin by the bolt
@@thatgraysuburban oh
The rivets are easy to remove with an air chisel. Glad Florida doesn't salt the roads lol!
I need to do exact same job to exact the same truck!!! Thanks for the guidelines
Just did this a week ago.. this job sucks ass! Omg
Was your turbo to bhaf tubing 3” or 4”?
One of the best vids for demonstrating the front crank seal on the 6bt. Thanks.
awesome vid TY
Will this help fix an oil leak?
Well if it’s leaking from the crank seal then yes lol
I have heard that you should have 3 bolts snug before pulling out the seal protector/guide...it was said that the plastic piece is also a locater....
I think you mean ‘night and day difference’ not ‘light and day’…
Did you ever make the heat shield ? If so would love to see it. I have the same setup.
If I pull the front cover to do the front cover gasket do I need to do the crank seal?
Might as well since you have it tore down that far
If I pull the front cover to do the front cover seal do I need to do the crank seal?
Good idea to do it. I thought my timing cover was leaking but it was the crank seal
@@fluffygamer5335 awesome thanks so much
Is it fine to use the older hardware; like the nuts and bolts as long as they’re in good shape?
When you order one they should come with it
Good video Bundy...
Awesome
Where do you live? Can you help me with my Bronco II ? Hahaha
It is not a plug weld it is a rivet, but great job.
Great Video!!
Mine blows off
My depth gauge fit in the hole very tightly. I had to bang it in all the way first then press the seal in from the other side. Now it leaks! What did I do wrong?
Did you ever figure out what happened because mine did the same thing
@Sailor Bacon No, I just add oil :)
Thanks for posting your vid. Just ordered 1 of the tools. Great price. Thumbs Up ! & Thanks.
i may need to do this soon
Anyone please have the size of the replacement bolts thanks at advance...
Great video! easy to follow it was a huge help
You should take out your turbo silencer ring its makes it whistle louder
Doug Anderson whats wrong with making the turbo louder? Thats what really makes the truck is hearing that whistle
Doug Anderson thats an old photo im 18
@@douganderson7002 Will remember gramps.
@@douganderson7002 ok grandpa
Great video. Does the spacer come with the tool?
Thank you!! Spacer comes with the seal
Looks good guys. We'll be trying that real soon. Thanks!!!!!
Dohave to pull the motor

@Chris Jaiden you are welcome =)
Pasame el numero de filtro
Great Video Thanks
That Huck bolt in the bottom rear is important. It's a pain to get in but without it, things start to break.
What are those springs, MOOG?
Good job guys, however the jack stands on top of cinderblocks the bronco shaking back and forth!!! Your lucky that vehicle didn’t fall on you!! Be safe guys!!
Does any one else see how crocked the spring looks from top to bottom
It goes away when you let it down and roll the truck forward. It will freak you out at first.
these trucks sit like that, look at any of them. I have a 78 ford and they sit like that.
