I honestly am really excited to see this rendition of batman/Bruce Wayne and Alfred, having Bruce be a regular construction worker who's not rich is honestly some of the most refreshing take I've heard on the character, I know he's lost his riches in the past but I think it's gonna be really interesting to see what a batman who is poor from the start will be like, I'd have to imagine he's gonna be even more brutal
Batman will definitely be cool tho. Not sure what they’ll do with Supes but hopefully they’ll retain some of his goodwill. It wouldn’t be ‘chaotic’ if they just dyed him with a bit of evil.
@@austinjones5681Homelander, Injustice Superman, other variants or versions of this cliche. You and I would agree that when these evil characters touches their inner humanity, is very much a path many audience would like to see dives into more.

Batman was capable even without money. If they wanted to got different route than that then take away his detective abilities or something that would make him wildly more different
Its only gonna fail cuz fans refuse to try new things. They would rather read the same stories over and over and chastise anything new or different. Even temporary stories get the axe.
Hmm. Things have changed a lot recently. DC has to compete with Shonen Jump Manga, Ultimate Spider-Man, Ghost Machine, Todd Mcfarlane 's Spawniverse, Rippaverse , Indegogo's ,Kickstarter 's and all the new indie publishers. They have to think of something to get new readers or old readers back to their brand. Btw... Hulk failed, X-Men failed and Valiant Comics failed. They all came back though.
You're right though. The whole reason why the new Ultimate Spider-Man is selling well is because it's a love letter to peter parker while the 616 one is replaced by miles and cucked by paul. This misses the point. Refine them. Make them more accessible. Easier to understand without a huge continuity.
It would be interesting if they were to do an Absolute Universe version of the Legion of Super Heroes, A Legion without the United Planets, where the Khunds have almost taken over the whole Galaxy, where the only force able to stop them is a Renegade Legion.
I'm just tired of the reboots/alternate universes/multiverses, I'm fatigued and don't care anymore from just too much content, I'll enjoy the older renditions of the characters and just stay in the past.
Why do comic writers think of doing multiverses? It legit piss me off sometimes, sure you get new take on different characters or even new characters. The end of the day I think they just doing it for the money, to me it just lazy writing, even I like new 52 but there so much universe. The fact those universes are so big, make one to want amnesia.
So, a more violent, bulkier Batman. . . A Superman without his humanity. . . Oh my god, it's a satire take. This absolute universe feels like satire for how these heros have been portrayed lmao
I don't like the branding of "dc's ultimate universe" because it literally is not. It's just more of a standard elsewhere universe. If it is their ultimate equivalent then dc once again has failed to understand what the ultimate universe was all about
Happy ABSOLUTE NEW YEAR!......lolol.... Not only did these books NOT fail, but are now the biggest books of 2024! And they way things are progressing, will be the best books of 2025 as well. Already surpassing Marvel's Ultimate universe which is still unfolding across several titles. Absolute did it with three titles and only 3 issues each, so far. And if you think that there is nothing to be said about that you would be wrong. The Absolute Universe came at the end of the year, after Ultimate SM, after Avengers Twilight, after Doom, and so many that came out. All chart toppers. So not only did it have to impress to do well, in order to compete it had to contend with many, many, good titles. At the beginning of 2024 I said it would be a good year for comics, story wise, and I was right. The writing was on the wall. The big 2 knew they had to get back to telling good stories. And they did just that. My biggest disappointment of 2024 is undoubtedly ASM. I was so let down by both the story and the art that I gave up. And the new writer they have coming on to the book doesn't signal inspiration either. But yeah, I gotta say, I'm glad you were wrong, but not surprised.
Love to see this Batman. And I do love to see this time line to succeed...atleast Batman. I'm having doubts on Superman yet I hope the storyline is good.
I think your confusing DC All-star and Earth One. All star didnt last long they only did superman and Batman and they didn't even finish the 12 Issue batman series. Earth One did alot more
It will succeed because honestly you're trash main universe cave into the hardcore mark's and truly abandoned us newcomers. So overall, I want something fresh and interesting plus the only reason why they're doing it because that's Marvel fans is literally buying all the ultimate books.
I came here to disagree with this, as I'm looking forward to Absolute Batman. But, listening to your arguments, it's hard to refute them...this is all looking increasingly derivative.

They are taking away his connection to humanity but that doesn’t automatically mean he’ll be evil. He will just be raised on krypton
Come on man, it's very obvious it'll be a story about him discovering his humanity, he's not gonna be a hero if he doesn't care.

It’s what DC needs honestly! The main line is way to convoluted and has too many doppleganger characters! Can’t wait to read
