I'd love that, too. But I feel like Hades lacks the diversity, that rouge-likes like Gungeon or Issaac can offer.
At least for me, the runs themselves don't feel very different from one another (I had like 25 runs so far)
@@Snuni93 I feel like we might as well just wait until the eventual full release. Which is pretty much the way i feel about playing every other good beta/early access game. My backlog is longer than ever, why not just wait then play the improved product?
@@Snuni93 They feel fairly diverse to me, but I agree they could definitely use more. More gods, more boons per god, and maybe some more non-boon passives like the daedalus hammer weapon upgrades. It also seems like at least one more weapon is planned since there seems to be a spot for one.

Then again there are some guys who main Hades 😂 but it is fun to watch him try it out.

The good part about that aphrodite call isn't the charm, it's the 2500 damage at max guage. It's awesome for bosses, but wasted on armor usually, things like the hydra adds, etc.

Give the target dummy in the weapon area a gift he will give you a keepsake which gives another death defiance when you use it. Also use your keepsakes egg, you can change them in the room after the boss.
Please NL... every time you ignore your keepsakes display thing I cringe! You're doing so well even without them
Being able to see NL's improvement against the bosses each run is honestly really fun to watch.

One technique I've been using with the spear that you might like... charge the spear, then dash when it hits max charge, then attack again to cancel the spin's wind-down into a dash attack. Huge damage, huge area, and becomes even meaner with things like Artemis dash, Poseidon/Ares attack, and hammer upgrades.
I can’t handle this abuse just keep the series rolling my eggy lion dude.

Hey NL I would recommend when you are fighting Theseus you focus the Minotaur, when Theseus hasn’t been hit all he really does is stay in the middle and throw his spear so you can just kite the bull outside the pillars and focus him and since you are on the outside of the pillars you can use those to block Theseus’ spear.Then once you kill the bull it makes Theseus’ last stage much more manageable
This series feels like a 40-50 epi-miniseries like deadcells and darkest. But thats just my sunny-side up

@@cptKamina Aspects I mean, he can unlock alternate versions of each weapon instead of just improving the main one, stuff like a version of the spear where you dash to it instead of returning it to you
He's been to the weapon upgrade menu before.

I’m more invested in this then any series in a while.
I remember back when it was really bad to take a lot of boons because pom upgraded your boons linearly instead of diminishing but you've been playing it pretty well. Missing a few details understandably from not reading dialogue, everyone's biggest tip is always to check the purple glass box to level up keepsakes.

Seriously, I'm enjoying this series. I was quite interested in this game upon initial release. It's good to see the progress they've made, and fun to watch you playing it.

Also, to keep it straight in your head, if you're thinking of a god's name and its also the name of a planet, its the Roman, not the Greek, name, and this game uses the Greek myth!
Dear NL, you probably want to give up some upgrades so you can buy another death defiance (extra life) they are so worth it since it gives you the extra time to learn the bosses.

Hades veteran here. Aphrodite call is second best in the game. It functionally stuns most bosses. And the ones it doesn't wind up attacking other enemies. Just never save up for greater call it does basicly nothing

NL has this magical ability to come to a wrong conclusion, then realize he is wrong and come to the correct conclusion, then IMMEDIATELY forget it when he has to apply that understanding.

Having the Minotaur attack Theseus is much better value as Theseus attacks very slowly

Dash through the minotaur when it rushes you, and stay close to the walls, behind the columns. Take him out first, and stay on his back. Lure him to attack forward so you can position yourself at his back with a dash to dish the damage, dude.

Egg, In the rooms between floors and at the start, there a big glass box that you continue to ignore. It's got different buffs in it instead of the HP buff you've had on by default the whole time.

By the way. With the spear, you can charge up your spin attack and then use dash to unleash the spin attack in the direction you're dashing.
