I think NL's aversion to lore, makes him not read and lose out on mechanics, ironic.

NL, buddy, please listen to me on this one, im gonna had you the keys to the kingdom. Focus down the Minotaur. Theseus is not an immediate issue and serves to harass you with spear throws as long as you stay out of his spin attack range. Kite the bull ariund the room while theseus slowly lags behind. You really dont want to have the ground exploding while the bulls charging you against walls because you got his health too low.
NL still hasn't figured it out but you can swap your trinket between each of the bosses. With the ones that you get from the various gods it really can help you create your desired build, then swap to a more combat focused one on the floor before finally hitting the boss that you are struggling on.
You can't actually anymore, at least not at the very start. It's a house upgrade you need to buy with the tricoloured gems now.
But maybe I just missed him buying that
@@caelandemaziere7939 He clearly has it or he still wouldn't have a trinket selected to begin with (also you can tell because the glass case seen at 12:46, next to the healing fountain would be locked up still if it wasn't already unlocked)
Can also tell that he still doesn't know because at 1:18 he still has yet to inspect the case which will show the collection of trinkets he currently has unlocked
I use the trinket that gives extra gold at start (200 at max level), then swap out to the trinket that gives me health when collecting darkness. The gold doesn't go away so it's like getting double benefits.

The episode when he doesn't say "last episode" is when the series acutally ends.
Late (and pedantic) comment - he actually technically said at the end of this one that there would probably be another episode.

NL the hamster cages are worth looking at. It shows up in Skelly's room and every intermission room and I can't deal with you ignoring them.

Best performing series on the channel right now (NLSS VOD notwithstanding) and my mans is clearly enjoying the game. We might be in for a whole lot of last episodes here lads, and I couldn't be happier about it!

This happens to me with toast, but its because my housemates cook it at like 1am and it wafts over to my end of the house, same with maple syrup. I just wish they didnt burn their toast honestly.
Out of all the roguelites you have on your channel, hades is probably my favorite out of them all right now.
Also, you can animation cancel the special for the sword with dash, press the special and then press the dash and the aoe occurs at the end of the dash

I don't have any commentary on this episode yet but I want NL to make more so here's a bump for the algorithm.
This'll blow your mind. You can crit a crit doing insane damage
NL - tips for the arena boss(es):
1. Dash TOWARDS the minotaur when he charges - NOT away. Just trust me on this - you need to embrace the bull.
2. Focus the minotaur FIRST and kill him without triggering the other fighters god circles(at half health). The other guy is way easier when there isn't so much bull to deal with.
Keep it going, NL. I don't think I need 1500 episodes, but 150 would sure hit the spot, unless you beat it sooner.

Do you even know that you can change the keepsakes and that those have various effects ingame, just like trinkets in isaac? At this square thingy next to the weapon selection or inbetween levels where you can buy/sell stuff and recover some hp.
Not sure he even knows he can talk to it...

I'm really glad to see nl playing this but man is it frustrating to be half way through the episode. Nl has the one of the strongest combos in the game. And despite doing it several times cant figure out that he's supposed to use his special in things faces for massive damage

Theseus will never call upon the aid of a God that you have a boon of. Athena is notably the easiest Theseus attack to dodge, as it takes up the entire centre of the arena and none of the edge.
Jebas that Theseus boss is ridiculous. Off screen attacks. Attacks that cover almost the whole screen. Enemy can block almost all frontal attacks. Enemy gets invulnerability phases. Enemy that rushes you with ridiculous homing. And that Minotaur has so much health. I ain't judging you, that's some real shit there.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeees give in to the series.
Should be noted that you can outpace the Minotaur's charge with spamming dash around the outside of the Arena if you notice him beginning the charge and make some distance. (Unless affected by a 30% or more speed reduction from Chaos, although +1 extra dodge from Hermes is still easily enough to outpace the Minotaur with this restriction)

-Hermes doesn't give you a dash, his boons focus on speed and dodge chance (a great stat for avoiding damage)
- You can switch keepsakes between floors. Usually I'll use a god keepsake up until Elysium where I tend to die and then switch to Boney's keepsake for an extra life.
-it's recommended to focus on one kind of damage i.e. regular attack, special or dash. That way you can maximize the boons and damage on one move and Aren't spreading yourself too thin
One day, Egg will stop teasing us that it's the last episode. Beat the game!
NL's inability to dodge the minotaur confuses me.
The ez-mode move is to prioritize Hermes boons at least until you have the +100% speed dash, which will allow you to outrun the bull.

He just needs to dash towards the minotaur and through the charge - problem solved.
It can get tough with the god from Theseus also casting. Thus why I always just kill the Minotaur first. Also hit Bull Rush can be pretty tough to get the right angle so he hits a pillar.

Taking a shop option is the same as skipping a miniboss fight in every scenario, just FYI. (First shop offer will always be the two Hell biome minibosses, as easily evidenced proof)
This is with the exception of the pre-boss shop that always is also offered alongside a Hermes boon, Pom or health upgrade (if you alter the room reward it will switch between the three)
