It's been years and Gravity's Union still floors me every time that I hear it. When Claudio explained that the song came about about as a thought experiment into to what he considered would be the worst thing that could happen to him - he and his wife getting into a car wreck and him surviving and her not - and being stuck in a loop of that... chills. (He then, as he does, incorporated that into the Amory lore.)
Fun fact, this song is the reason I started playing guitar. I was on the path to becoming a drummer like my dad and then I heard Welcome Home on the first version of Rockband and said "I need to learn guitar so I can play that" and it was the first song I learned to play start to finish.
I was looking for this comment. I always played guitar but the first time I heard this song I knew I had to stick to my guitar and my skills. Still remember every note to this day!
Funny.. Welcome Home is the reason I picked up the drums when I was young. Well this and Beast and the Harlot by A7X. Yellow ledbetter by Pearl Jam is what made me wanna get a set of strings. Seems to be a lot of commonality across people who decide to pick up instruments because of certain songs. Its always the same handful of songs from any group.

I’d give anything to learn to play guitar. You make it look so effortless🥲.
Edit: hit the 12:50 mark….. 🤯 seeing the wheels turn in your mind as you’re hearing the notes being played, and the joy that overcomes your face. It truly is a beautiful skill, talent, gift whatever you wanna call it. To be able to hear and understand music and to be able to play an instrument. 🤩 You are so lucky!! I LOVE music so much and hearing songs like these. That have such amazing guitar riffs, ughhh. I wish I could play and jam out because I can feel all the energy these artists put into their music. Also, just stumbled onto your channel and this is the first video I’ve seen. I’m not sure if you ever done any on the group Avenged Sevenfold. If you have I will definitely be checking those out😄 if not, Please look into them. They are one of my favorite bands primarily because of their guitarists and their solos. Amazing!! Anyways, great video👏🏻 I will keep watching.👍🏼
The final cut with mic tod is the best
Coheed and Cambria has always been my favorite band that I never listen to. I don't know why... I just can't ever get myself to play a Coheed song during my leisurely listening time.. Every time I listen to them I effing love them though. I did have a period where I listened to the album "No World For Tomorrow" a lot though. Excellent album, not really my style of music but it's so good.
Like the channel man! Think I'll sub and check some more stuff out! In your words: "absolutely bitchin'," my man! Keep it up!
I don't listen to them often, but when I get the urge, I binge them for like three weeks straight
Just saw these guys last month still sooooo good. You should do their new single “shoulders”. Such a killer riff
oh brother, welcome to The Fence! 🤘🏻🔥🍻 literally any song would be awesome to hear you dissect. try “Gravemakers & Gunslingers” or “Gravity’s Union”
@@metaljin yeah that’s some What If Dr Strange vibes
So killer indeed! Love your style man.
Mannnnnn end this stupid pandemic so we can see Coheed slay live again!! Shivers
Tour already happened. Cruise this month.
SUCH A GREAT CHANNEL!!
According to the Geneva convention, anytime this song is summoned it MUST be played on a double neck.
this was amazing
This is always a legit teacher.
As stated in the previous video, one of the best bands out there right now. Love that we got 2 reactions to them, because dang are they good.
I would watch a whole series rating coheed tbh. I don't remember what brought me here, but I've been hoping for a coheed review.
Live at the STARLAND BALLROOM is one of their best
Just struck me that Claudio didn't break out the double neck for this performance. Love the analysis/reaction here.
No one can fuck with Coheed and Cambria. They will go down as one of the greatest ever.
Man, Welcome Home has aged so well.
