Maaaaan I shared a similar sentiment to this. Peter will always be my main but with Miles in the picture I've always entertained the idea of them being spider-bros. "They act like two legends can't coexist." I'm tired of them trying to sideline Peter when they could work best as a duo.
My question is what has miles done that is iconic or legendary besides being the same race as me . He isn’t even unique . Most generic power you can give a black hero is electricity. He doesn’t have a unique rogues gallery where he has to contend with them. They aren’t invested in him and he is only invested cause they are peters villains . I wish he picked an identity and chose a location that Peter rarely goes to. The same way Matt Murdock is from Hell’s Kitchen . But he is just a less funny , less charismatic , sounds like he just moved to NY and not from NY spiderman. They need to write him like an actual human being and less than a different flavor Peter . And no more prom missions and community bs . Good lord
@@Kyubii01 I should’ve expounded. Cause yes, referring to miles as a “legend” is being extremely generous. If they weren’t pushing miles so much as a Peter heir/replacement I believe they could give him a unique identity. But since they want to keep both of them together the best outcome I see for them both is just a spidey duo in New York. I agree that I wish they let miles go to a separate location and be good his own character. Even with the spider verse movies I’ve always argued he’s had help from other spider folk. But my og point was essentially miles does exist and they might as well keep him and Peter in tandem for the best results imo.
Oh my gosh. I was pretty happy with Peter retiring and getting a happy ending. But I did feel bad for Miles. Why can't they be like the Bat-family and share the load? This is amazing. Thank you for this video.
be like the bat-family?, like? ignoring the murderer of your son and the culprit of crippling the daughter of one of your best friends and one of his wives, as well as the murderer of multiple innocent people, and never really removing the corrupt people who are above and letting the Corruption clings more and more. Believe me, there is a reason why Otto was a good Spider-Man until the script wanted a cybernetics expert to be defeated by a moron with a goblin complex. Otto's scientific mind had seen the hacking of his spider robots coming from miles away.
He's not really retiring. He's just taking a vacation so he can work on his normal life for a bit. He's also on call, in case Miles gets in over his head. Also, they're setting up the Green Goblin. That's entirely Peter's nemesis. He'll be back for the next game.
Plus, having a burden this big and such a young age, in such a short amount of time, will make him do some stupid shit. Look what happend to Andrew Garfield Spidey, he admitted in No Way Home that he stopped holding back because Gwen's death was his breaking point.
Bro, i can't even begin to talk about how right you are. The fact that it needed one singular normally thinking person and not a team of Developers to see how Fictional Characters should work as a team and not abandon themselves, is beyond me.
You’re spot on and that’s exactly why they’re doing it the way they are; Bryan said it was basically a pain in the ass to write both of the Spider-Men in the story, so, RIP
I feel Miles changed his mind from the "this city still looks like a two Spider-Man job to me" to "I got this. All of this." Is something alot of people miss. Miles is a Spider-Man fan and a huge one at that. He grew up looking at Peter like he was a borderline god and in SM: MM he struggles even calling himself Spider-Man a few times because he doesnt feel he can live up to that idealized version of Peter in his head. In his mind, even though hes seen Peter beaten down quite a few times he still naively states Pete cant lose he never loses. He truly believes that Peter is invincible but SM2 really and thorougly shows Miles how much pain Peter has been in, how much being Spider-Man has cost him, and when he sees Peter crying over May's body apologizing and then Harry's later, it finally hits him that Peter is human too and he wants to takes that burden off of him as much as he can. Miles knows that being Spider-Man is painful but he knows he can handle himself too and that if he ever needs it when he needs it Peters always just a call away but for now he just wants Peter to take the time he needs and deserves.
So Miles basically tries to take all the burden upon himself and that's a good thing? Shouldn't seeing Peter struggle by taking all the responsibility of being a super hero can be possibly too much for just one person? Shouldn't that be the lesson to take from this not "You go lay down and retire. I'll take over because I'm better!"? Now I know that's not what Miles is truly saying but by watching the ending, that's how it strongly feels to the audience who watch and play the game who are fans of both Peter and Miles. We want them both to support each other, not replace like it's a race swap. . .
@@weirdestbudday5353 "Balance is a process" and Miles is also starting to learn to balance better and learn that he does have more worth in the lives of others than just fighting as spiderman thanks to Peter as well as Li's words warning him of how easy it is to let aspects of your life fall away when you focus too much on one part of it. And we see that in the post credits scene of the game Miles isn't wearing his suit under his clothes 24/7 anymore like did in SM:MM and is also keeping his word in making time in his personal life for his mother, Hailey, and Ganke. The benefits of having a mentor allows him to see and learn firsthand both from Peter's strengths and his weaknesses and try to manage things a little better to make his experience as a hero a little less chaotic. Peter held it down for 8 years nearly all on his own, Miles can handle things for a little bit at leasr until Peter gets his personal life in order both with MJ and make strides in his desire of helping the entire world not just new york with his scientific gifts like he's wanted since SM1 and fulfilling his and Harry's dream. Peter isn't retiring either. It's just the events with Harry and realizing how many burdens he unintentionally dropped on MJ and wanting to do right by Harry with the EMF made him reevaluate his priorities for the time being. It's not about whose stronger or better, the game never makes it about that. Peter is inarguably stronger than ever right now with the antivenom power and having finally gotten over the real thing hurting his performance through SM2, his grief and guilt over May's death. It's about Peter choosing to focus not just on his responsibilities as a hero but also his very real personal responsibilities he's been neglecting instead of just letting the spiderman aspect consume everything like he's been doing. Besides as he said to Miles, he's there for him ALWAYS. If worse does truly come to worse Peter obviously will drop in to help, but through sm:mm and sm2, peter has been watching Miles grow into a capable hero and with no massive disasters on the horizon, most of the supervillains from before reformed or no longer out there, Yuri proving she hasn't lost her way entirely and showing she still values life he can take a bit of the burden off his shoulders for now knowing Miles has grown enough to handle the city. And through the kids own arc and realizing his own worth, Miles has also grown the confidence needed to believe that he can too. It's not just a swap. It's all just finding a good balance for now for themselves and with each other and thanks to having each other they have the benefit no other spider person out there has of however this pie is split so to speak of finding a way to work things out without destroying themselves. For now though, we just have to see where it goes until you know Otto and Norman get up to whatever they're up to.
@@basedkinoenjoyerOk. . . I'm not sure how all that explanation explains how Miles is 'THE MAIN SPIDE-MAN' but if that's your answer. . . that doesn't make Miles 'the main Spider-man'. Peter was the first Spider-Man, he will always be the OG MAIN SPIDER-MAN. You can't take that title away from him no matter what. The whole reason Miles is even Spider-man is BECAUSE OF PETER. So it's difficult to understand how you can call Miles 'the /main/ Spider-Man' when it's clear Miles wouldn't be Spider-Man without Peter We also need to stop calling Miles Spider-Man. He's not Sider-Man, he's his own super hero or at least his own Spider-Man like Silk, Scarlet Web, Spider-Gwen, etc. It's even explained in his origin story that he'll never be Spider-Man and he needs to stop trying to be exactly like him and just do his own thing. Which he does and does a fantastic job on it but somehow, Marvel or the writers always somehow pushing this agenda of having Miles replace Peter. Yes, it sounds like Peter will be in Spider-Man 3 because he's taking a break for a second time. Even though Pete has said really stupid things to Miles like "Why does the city need me as Spider-Man when the city has you?" and you can point out all these things in the game like "Peter said he'll come back" well. . . yes but what if the writers decide that won't happen? This all depends on the writers and always will. They had Peter get his ass kicked through the entire game, gets saved by Miles at least 7 or 8 times including in SM MM, Even Harry saves Peter several times and has no experience. Then you have MJ and Yuri who have no powers or experience in being a hero but yet somehow manage to save Peter. Especially MJ saving him twice with the second time of her jumping in front of Peter when Peter can handle hits way better than MJ. So players, especially Peter fans can't help but feel like Marvel/Insomniac is really doing Peter dirty and want to keep pushing on replacing him. Sure, maybe it's the Aunt May messing with his mind in being a more competent hero but it really wasn't explained very well. No one ever tells Peter he's slacking or he's usually better than this or asking if he's doing ok, or even talking to himself about it in anyway like he's beating himself up, it's just him getting his ass handed to him by every villain that he's even defeated before and being saved by everyone he knows. Like it can't be helped that Peter seem like the most incompetent hero when he's suppose to be the most experienced.
man, what a great video. you really summon the issues I have with the game being OK with Miles only existing in this universe to be Spider-Man and Peter thinking he doesn't want to be needed.
I’m hoping it’s part of the overall story they’re telling. I do like the “Pete gets a little overwhelmed and hangs up the mask for a bit” Spidey trope - it’s just tough till he puts it back on.
This is the best response against Miles being the sole Spider-Man No rethoric of insomniac being overtly woke No denial of Miles of getting his flowers Just a brother seeing another brother on a path that could destroy him and just voicing his concerns Thank you, brethren, we needed this...
its just personal bias tbh. I dont understand how they get soooo mad about it. if they didnt care so much they wouldnt be so mad. its all personal issus they have and they take it out on the game, when it doesnt take away from the story or ganeplay. Seems theyre looking to get mad tbh@@hunterhudson4577
It's not a rhetoric when there's proper reason though . Wanting everything to be flowers and sunshine won't make that a reality . Like i get it , and hell i'd want that to not be the case too since that's what kills any hope for the future in this story , but it just is . Whether Miles struggles bad in the next one or not , he already is and will be overall just better than Peter , Peter has been successfully outed while being turned into a fraction of himself , and now it's Miles's time to reign .
This was a pretty good video with some nuance to it really makes the tagline "be greater, together" hit harder by seeing how both need eachother's backs as the burden of spider-man is too much to carry by oneself
facts @kerrymurphy6960 all these people 🍆🚴🏾 peter like let bro pay his mortgage and raise a family. bro is old let him rest miles already doing better than peter in hist first year. literally beat his ass while he had the symbiote
@@jordansauced3825 30 years is old? also, miles couldn't even handle sandman on his own at the start of the game, and it was the reason peter lost his job that he wanted so much.
You had me in the first half, ngl With that being said, I'd the idea of Insomniac exploring Miles being addicted to the trill of being Spider-Man instead of being responsible the Miles Morales people need him to be
I honestly thought this was going to be a hate video lol but you made some good points. Personally I think it’s too early for Miles to be Spider-man on his own, it’s a great idea for Peter to retire but still too early for Miles. In the new game we barely got to play as Miles and played as Peter more, this Miles reminds me of the indian Spider-man in the spider-verse film where he says “well that was another easy adventure for Spider-man,” Miles reminds me of that scene because he’s making being Spider-man look like an easy job when it isn’t. I also think it was too early to give Miles that “sad cannon event” where his father passes away. In the game we barely knew him and his dad, it should’ve been like how we saw Peter for the first time, we should’ve gotten to know Miles before feeling sorry for him. Miles still has a lot to learn about being Spider-man so Peter shouldn’t have retired just like that, he needs to teach him the challenges of being Spider-man he needs to teach him it’s not always easy because he makes it seem like it’s always easy, Peter also needs to teach him that he won’t be able to save everyone and he shouldn’t beat himself up for it. I feel like a good time for Peter to retire is when Miles doesn’t act like his job is super easy, idk how else to word that properly lol. Also the fact that Miles is still young is another reason why he shouldn’t be on his own. He nearly let Spider-man and some people d!e because he didn’t want to let Li go, *most* young people like him cannot control their emotions most of the time, which is why Peter NEEDS to be there for him.
bro do you forget that miles GOT that character development you want in his OWN standalone game. you have good points but peter cant teach miles EVERYTHING, he needs to learn it himself like when his dad died, and Phin died. He knows the job isnt easy, but you have to stay positive. peter is there for him. its why Miles told Peter he got bit by the spider powers in the first place when Miles didnt even know Peter WAS even spiderman. Miles is young, but the only way he can learn is by being spiderman and realizing even more he cant save everyone. like spiderman india got that huge reality check. Miles got that when Phin got fucking nuked lmao. But Peter IS there for miles throughout all the first spidey game, we just didnt realize we were getting a MM origin story until it happened. Miles is young, but has to do it and just BE spiderman. Life is the best teacher. also we learn about miles in the first game before his dad dies, by that small miles section in the first game
I really liked the concept of two Spider-Men because it would in theory shift the load to both of them. Therefore, they would both be able to be Spider-Man while also having down time for their normal lives. I hope Peter isn't just handing the reigns over to Miles completely especially considering the famous statement, "With great power comes great responsibility."
@The-Legend-of-P except it's not, once again insomniac want miles to be the main spiderman going forward, what part of that don't you understand. Going forward doesn't mean temporary, unless you count backlash from the fans lmao.
I feel like Peter's decision is fueled by his desire to take a step back to recharge and relax. Miles like you said is still in that beginning phase. Once his personal life becomes overwhelming Miles will have a Tobey Spider man 2 moment and learn their needs to be both balance and guidance to be both Miles and Spiderman.
I like how so many people agree that Miles needs to back to the drawing board on that suit. That being said, you might get an advantage out of it, because the people he's fighting can't see from all the tears in their eyes after laughing so hard. There's also the psychological warfare, who wouldn't be scared about losing to a guy that dresses like that.
It seems like the only main issue here is how long you think Peter is taking this break lol. And to that I agree, but maybe something of note is that this game confirms that it takes place prior to across the spiderverse. Because in across the spiderverse we see Peter in the spider society in the suit he has in this game (I guess he didn’t feel like summoning his anti venom powers at any point in the movie), and the spiderverse side mission in the game has peter not yet know who Miguel is. So some time after this temporary break of his, Miguel invites him to be a part of the spider society, where he likely decided to just be one of the part timers that Gwen mentions most of the spider people there are. So he just kinda shows up every often. Idk if this puts it into any perspective of the break being shorter or longer than we think, but it’s just something to think about.
Honestly, bringing up the spider verse could solve a narrative problem going forward that for the next main game, Pete should be out of the picture for a substantial amount of time (like 5-10 years with a miles only interim game...hi Silk) but not actually give up being Spiderman so him being part of the spider society full time would explain some of it. The reason why the significant time skip is not only they have made an effort to scrub any hard dates out of the game world (show by May's and Ben's gravestones getting their years removed) so they don't have to worry much about trivial continuity issues but the Flame missions pretty much state it will be about that time until we get Carnage.
@@borkotoko bro what? All of the other side missions in all the insomniac Spider-Man games are canon. Why would this very long and drawn out spider-bot collectible side mission with a very obvious across the spiderverse portal at the end and name drop of Miguel traveling through dimensions not be canon? Especially considering we saw this exact spider-man in across the spiderverse wearing the insomniac Spider-Man 2 suit. The only reason to say it’s not canon would like “it just doesn’t sound right” lol.
@@mikzpwnz_3199 no way he’s a full time spider society member, honestly. His whole reason for taking a break is to get his life together with Mj. Idk why he’d leave their dimension to go get the milk for 5-10 years. He’s prolly just a part timer like Gwen said most of the spider society members are. I don’t think him him being a full time member is necessary at all to solve any narrative problems.
they already said miles is going to be the main spider-man for the next game but I really hope they change it before spider-man 3 comes out it'd be nice for maybe another miles morales spin-off or even just a DLC but they should realize by spider-man 3 that he can't handle it by himself and insomniac should be able to find a way to get peter out of retirement because I'd really hate for them just to leave the og spider-man in the past
We can all relate with Miles & his College Essay. I'd even beg my parents for chores & the second a friend calls me I immediately ask them to hangout just to avoid typing it.
One is resting, another is patrolling, next day (two days, week, choose your period of time) - change. Not like it's something new. Practice of shifts is old as hell. There is no need to invent a bicycle. Problem solved.
The thing so annoying about the hate on peter taking a break is that hes still doing the with great power comes great rsponaibility thing in a different way by using his other power (his intellect) to help people
I don't really think you understand that Peter was a teenager when he became Spiderman. He had to fly solo for years and learn everything by himself, he struggled with his work-life balance (arguably still does), and Miles is suffering from the same issue. In his spinoff game Miles WAS tasked with handling New York alone for a bit while Peter and MJ were out on winter vacation and he lost his best friend. While the three people he lost (his dad, Phin, and Phin's brother) are a mere FRACTION of who Peter lost, he still lost people. The best way to learn that Spiderman isn't a game is through hands-on experience, and even then he isn't going to handle the city alone. Peter still offered help and advice if he ever needed it so he will still have that support.
I've had theories for the DLC of this game, and I believe it's going to focus solely on Miles, and we'll have him learn the things he's losing by being Spider-Man
My thoughts are that Peter will still be around and the suit won't be completely put away. Miles can still call on Pete if he feels overwhelmed and Pete will probably always like being Spider-Man and helping people out. I think Peter is just taking sometime to process Aunt May's death and Harry's current state, not a complete retirement but stepping back and letting Miles take the wheel for a bit. I think Peter is going to be playable again because of his connection to Norman and Otto who are coming back in the next game. I'd like to see Miles's struggle with balancing the duties of his personal and Spider-Man lives and Peter and Cindy helping him understand Spider-Man doesn't have to be one man holding up the world.
Damn bro you were speaking absolute truth. So much of spiderman's struggle was the loneliness: the secret identity and that he has to be there without anyone else. And then he finally gets other spider people to help lighten the burden. I get that they have to establish miles within a presentable timeframe, which is why all the shit is happening, but like you said he needs to slow the fuck down and peter still needs to be there for miles instead of colgate-bug. All I can hope is he doesn't take advantage of it. Also your music choice was amazing, "fade away" for the last sectuon got me in the feels
To be fair, the thing after coney island where you see miles was probably just oversight on insomniacs side. They probably didn't think of his turning up in the freeroam map like that
Honestly, I think you made a good point. It isn’t that Peter can’t handle the responsibility, nor is it that Miles can’t handle the responsibility . The problem is one. Spider-Man can’t carry the weight of the world alone. From the trip through peters mind, it becomes blatantly clear that is nearly 10 years as Spider-Man has left some serious mental scars. And by all means under any other circumstance, I would say that he desperately needs to take some time to reevaluate his life… but partially retiring means that all that responsibilities gonna be thrown onto miles, and history will just repeat itself. The most ideal outcome I think is for the two Spider-Men to take shifts. Miles patrols the city for two weeks. Then he swapped with Peter. And when I situation demands both Spider-Man, they have to be ready to jump in the action. Is it fair that the responsibility had to be put on their shoulders? No. But since when has Spider-Man’s life been fair? I do think Peter should take some time to process everything that’s happened to him within the last few years, but hopefully another year and a half dozen passes in Universe before Peter puts on the suit again. Because all that would mean is Miles has been dealing with all that trauma for that amount of time, and then he’s going to need to take time off, leaving Peter to carry the weight of the world again. And then the vicious cycle continues. Either supporting each other constantly or taking turns being New York’s Spider-Man is the best course of action I think . However, as a counterpoint, I could see someone saying that maybe the next game is setting up that Miles is going to learn just how stressful it is to be Spider-Man as his friends and family begin to resent him for always being absent? If that’s the case, I would actually applied the decision at the end of this game. But I do hope that whenever this series comes to an end, we have multiple spider men protecting New York, rather than just throwing the weight on to one heroes shoulders again
I will say the title nearly got me, all pissed off for a second but I'm glad you explained why you don't believe in what you were saying an yes both peter an miles should be superhero's an protect new york together.
bro legit same XD i thought it was gonna be another hating on miles vid, but nah his point is that both spiderman gotta work collectively to share that responsibility and work together to help each other.
@@koibitothescrublord4977 nah I will point you to a RUclipsr called Collins world he says peter wasn't nerfed along that point miles never cucked peter, now let's be honest just talk about their power levels and how it was in consistent
My issue is, didn't Peter already have a break? He and MJ went to symkaria and all. Left miles in charge that whole time. They referenced it in some parts of the game, then act like Miles Morales didn't happen in other parts
My real problem is that I don’t feel like peter would retire. Knowing peter it’s more likely that he would try to take a break and then something would happen and he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from dawning the mask and he’d end up fumbling his attempt at a company. Peter isn’t the type to just be like “nah some one else can handle it” he feels a need to bear all the responsibility onto himself even if it means he fumbles the girl or the job or friendship or whatever else he was dealing with. Peter being willing to just lay it all onto miles is so incredibly out of character that it terrifies me to play the next game
Yeah, it seems so out of character of him to just randomly quit. After around 10 years of being spiderman (in this game, at least) you just stop because you're tired of it? I understand a break but Spider-Man won't just disappear.. unless Thanos decides to snap his fingers, that is 😂😂
He actually did do this in the old comics. When Ben Reilly came along, he was fine with taking a back seat and letting him be the main Spider-Man so he could settle down with MJ. The writers actually thought it was the perfect end to Peter because he gets his happy ending and they still have a Spider-Man to write for. So it’s not out of character, it’s just that as a Peter fan it’s not ideal.
@@TheUnknownGruntProductions Yeah I guess he did. But that felt a little more natural. I can’t really explain why, best I can give is that Mary Jane was pregnant at the time. Plus at that point Peter thought that he was a clone and wasn’t supposed to exist. here it just feels like peter is tossing his responsibilities onto miles because he wants to focus of emily may or something. Idk feels less natural
@@orbakun I can see why you think that, but I’m personally fine with it. Especially because he’ll definitely be back by Spider-Man 3, no way they’re doing green goblin without Peter Parker. And hey, if them taking away one of the Spider-Men will help establish silk, so be it.
I think they're gonna do another Spider-Man: Miles Morales 2 to flesh out a story for his own. I know they said they want to pass the torch but I feel this will be the direction they'll go to test the waters and no doubt build up Cindy to getting her powers. This will allow Peter that break he needs and explain why he's not in the game. Cindy will gain her powers and Miles will be the one to try and show her the ropes while dealing with new villains. We may even get the grand daughter of the Vulture introduced, who's a love interest to Mikes in the comics, and would bring that awkward Villain love interest, even though he's got a gf. Like Peter and Felicia.
I said thst two but who miles villain gonna be every one dead except lee ock and Norman and carnage and the mask dude but I’m pretty sure he gonna be in the dlc
@@dragonleeman1283 It's possible they could try and build up some B lister or have a few as fodder, while an A lister is pulling the strings. Since Wolverine's game is in the same universe we could potentially see a mutant as a villain instead of your standard Spider-Man villain.
Love that you brought this perspective from miles personal life rather than his combat abilities or whether he is spiderman(he is). Also to acknowledge where peter is coming from. But you provided something that is realistic too all the characters. Be greater together as the game advertised.
Can’t they just be comparable in ability? I mean, they were both bitten by a similar radioactive spider, they both have similar powers (with miles even having dope extras), and he’s trained _by_ Peter. (Spoilers) On top of this, wasn’t it the venom blast that did Peter in in the game? You know, the weakness of that thing he has on? The alien symbiote thing that’s allergic to miles powers? Listen man, ultimately, why wouldn’t miles be on a similar level of power to Peter? Sure he has less experience, but if two people are of comparable ability there’s no reason he couldn’t come out on top.
This'll probably be the next game's major conflict. Peter has a lot of loose ends; Norman Osborn Spider-Man. Doc Ock is on his ass. Kletus "The Flame" Cassady got a symbiote. Eventually, Miles is gonna get hit with a wave of hatred and madness that he could've never seen coming. That's when Peter will learn his last lesson, and Miles will understand what it really means to be both a Spider and a Man.
I personally felt the ending of Insomniac's Spiderman 2 kind of dodged the core problem of spiderman's double life that affects all spidermen when it came to leaving it all up to miles, I'm relieved I wasn't alone in feeling that Edit: a spider just crawled up to me and said hi at your vid's conclusion while on the shitter, IM LETTING HIM BITE ME FOR POWERS LETS GOOOO
Thank you for actually giving real criticism for this game's ending. The amount of negative bait vids saying its gone "WOKE" was mind numbing. Now i didn't play the game personally but i watched someone do a 100% play through of the story. The amount of people twisting the endings narrative was absurd peter is not retiring he has finally been given a solid chance to get his life together, as peter himself has said before being spiderman doesn't pay the bills. Miles is not here to permanently replace peter, he's just gonna take up a bit more spiderman work. So instead of 50-50 split it will be 20-80. Given the events that took place in the first and second game Peter deserves it. If shit goes down hill peter is only a call away.
" not permanently replace Peter " then " 20-80 " lol . Cool opinion but i consider " Miles will be the main spiderman from now on " by the makers themselves meaning " replacement " . I'm not sure who is twisting the narrative here
@@humanman9920 from now on is up in the air tho. Take it with a grain of salt. They don’t mean permanently. They mean “at this point in the story, Peter is tired and needs a break so miles will be taking up the mantle for a little while” that’s all. Also all Spider-Man really does is stop crime. So miles doesn’t really have a lot on his plate with Spider-Man
@@AHeroWith1000Names yeah I had to do some research on Peter Parker's history and it's crazy said that all his relatives died within a 20-year time span starting from his young life to now.
If they make Miles Morales villain in a form of Man-Spider mutant then this would be really good development for this character for Marvel Spider Man 3. Ps. I recommend watching the 90 Spider-Man cartoon to see what Man-Spider mutant looks like.
Destroy the city? Every villain has a goal and not to “destroy the city”. Otto Octavius wanted to get revenge on norman for everything he’s done to him and only caused harm on other people because they were in his way. Otto warned peter to stay out of this on the raft scene but peter didn’t listen so he was forced to fight him because he was in his way. Sandman was doing fine until Kraven awakened him to get a hunt out of him. That’s what made him go mad. Kraven made the city his hunting grounds but didn’t destroy it, he just wanted a final hunt. Venom on the other hand wanted to heal the world. In his mind, he was doing the right thing at the time by engulfing the world in venom. In fact, harry was tricked into doing it by the symbiote because it mimicked his mother’s voice making him think it was actually her. The point is, I found your comment invalid and inaccurate and no villain just wants to destroy the city. They always have a end goal
They're probably going to have Cindy Moon as someone who's Miles partner that way we maintain there being 2 Spider-Men. What I want for this game is to add DLC where we're playing as Miles so he can earn more experience to this. He's only been Spider-Man for 2 years, but I do believe he has the best chance possible of maintaining the mantle for a while. He was doing it for an entire game and the only major structural damage that took place was Harlem's streets having fractures all around their streets. And a section of a bridge destroyed, which as we can see now got repaired. He's got abilities which unless Norman has Roxxon intel Miles will usually disrupt it all. Insomniac Miles ain't like the Spider-Verse one, he was able to hold his own against Mr. Negative. Someone who was running Peter 1s in his game.
If I was Peter I would at least wait until miles is finished with college I mean he’s still in highschool. I know Peter did but he even said how he didn’t want miles to go through that. Like Peter wait until he’s done with college so his life won’t be a mess like your life.
I honestly was happy with the way it ended, the insomniac games were always about Peter getting older and struggling with the balance of being a hero, and finally having that settlement is satisfying to see for Peter Also remember that Miles has it much better off than Peter did when he started, Peter started off young and he had nobody to mentor or help him and had some crazy menaces to fight and still managed, so i think doubting miles is unfair
My biggest issue with Peter retiring is not that Miles is black, but Peter isn't (although that is one of them), but it's that it completely undermines "With great power, comes great responsibility." Peter isn't 59 and thinking he can't do this forever, he's only about 26. He's being lazy and irresponsible. One of the most fascinating things about the character is that being Spider-Man is hard, but he can't give up just because it is. The world will always need Peter Parker. I also just don't care about Miles Morales. Also, someone also getting spider powers is just too coincidental for my tastes. That is just dumb.
this guy is so wise man like I'm listening to him talk and this feels like some advice you'd get from someone really wise in your life just damn even if it's about Spiderman! and the big bad known as trying to manage work life and your actual life! and all that bad shit he makes points in this video that make sense and anyone can hear what he has to say and use it in their day to day life and that feels like something not a lot of content creators will hear from their fans sometimes
Insomniac is already doing a Daredevil DLC, but they should also do a Moon Knight DLC also. Three street fighting heroes roaming the city in real time would be awesome.
I feel everything you said here is going to be what miles struggles with and has to overcome in the next game, and peter will have to accept that no matter what he is spider-man and even though he wants a normal life, he has the responsibility to protect those around him, including miles who may get hurt dealing with threats such as green goblin
4:40 Technically the symbiote has the ability to cure the host who wears it like it did for Harry so who knows. Maybe it'll cure Hailey's hearing too...I'm sorry bro I had to be that "well actually" guy 🤣
I kind of wish this game focus on that narrative more; the fact that Peter wants to maintain his social life then just be spider-man while Miles wants to maintain his hero life then his social life. Much of the game was rushing itself that I got no time with either of them. That 25 hrs of the game fly by so fact that I wasn't satisfied of the outcome of what the game was trying to tell. Its like I was watching a movie then playing a game. Which is sad to these PlayStation exclusives are becoming. Much of my complaints revolves around the simple thing that the game doesn't do enough of what it should've bee. From the story aspect, I wanted more time with Peter in the beginning as he tries to work his way into balancing his life out before he met with Harry. And even when he did, I wish we got to spend more time with his new job so that it can feel like a real second chance that Peter claim he was having. I wish we got more of Kraven being an actual hunter then relying on other people. I wish we got more of the symbiote because what we got was cool, but there should've been more then just a rush section of it. Hell, I was hoping to have more time with Miles and see what type of person he's trying to be, but I was disappointed that really, there wasn't much to him and I was waiting to play as Peter once more. Then there's the gameplay aspect being more of the same with some minor improvements, adjustment, but also less of improvements on certain things like the stealth, how you fight in combat, and even the web swinging which is faster, but still limited on what you can and should do as spider-man. For me the Miles section I was really disappointed in for how little we got, and while it had interesting points, again it suffers from the rush pace of the game. Its like I love what we got, but I was expecting more to it since its called spider-man 2. But it is what it is, and this video highlighted more problems that game sweeps under a rug, that it just doesn't do enough to highlight the more potential interesting things the game could've told.
I feel like what you discussed about Miles avoiding his life 5o be Spider-Man will lead to a resolution of an arc in 3. And i hope that Spider-Man 3 has Miles and Peter realise though they can do it alone, they dont have to anymore, and I think Cindy becoming Silk would help drive that point home for them
for his own good? i agree, he should not be Spiderman.. for the good of the city? someone has to.. i mean, it's not like Peter will continue to stay Spidey forever, and when that time comes, Miles would be a pretty decent replacement.. he's still learning though, but he'll get there eventually.. EDIT: you actually make a great point that instead of replacement, they're better off in numbers.. 2 Spidermen is indeed better than 1
I also feel like Peter retiring in any way shape or form just goes against his whole responsibility ideal, New York is Pete's responsibility, Spider-Man is his responsibility, and just to stop being Spider-Man just because there's someone to cover for him is out of character, sure he needs a break but like you said we don't know how long that break will be
That is indeed a brilliant vídeo to show that miles even tho is ready to be a spiderman he's not really ready to do the great responsibility side of a spiderman balance his super hero and civilian life, congratulations bro you made a really good video
I want miles to become the a mixture of the Prowler and Spider-man. He already learned that it's safer to include your loved one with you secrets then compromise all your relationships.
Lmfaoo this video was funny affff man I started laughing at so many different parts… but tbh these were actually some pretty good points that I’ve never rlly thought of until now. Keep up the good work bro
I'm happy with the way they needed the game. Miles Morales is own person and his own Spiderman just like everyone else. I'm happy that insomniac chose miles as there main spider man. He can hold his own just like every other spider man. Peter needs to take a break because I'm tired of peters story. And personally i feel miles morales is a better spider man with how rooted he is with his city and how he handles tough situations. Miles Morales is cool too very cool
What if Miles saying he’s ready and he can handle being the only Spider-Man; what if this overconfidence gets himself killed and That’s how Pete comes back in the 3rd one? Not only will he have Norman Osborn as the Goblin to deal with, but the psychological damage of losing his protege and the journey to get to the other side of that to conclude his story.
"Miles Morales Should Quit Being Spiderman."
-Miguel 'O Hara
@@Kyubii01go put a tampon in

They aren’t sidelining anybody he’s taking a break rn and will most likely be part-time Spidey as he’s basically a founder/ceo of the EMF.
I knew New York wasn’t safe the moment I seen miles in that endgame suit 💀
@@K2niarDneK he’s semi-retiring

@@zinney9316 I wanna see him be a hero since this is a video game and its supposed to fulfill one job: help me have a power trip
What happened to all the " be greater , together " ? Oh right , that was just for luring everyone in .
Couldn't have said it better.
Damn well said
@@basedkinoenjoyerOk. . So it's difficult to understand how you can call Miles 'the /main/ Spider-Man' when it's clear Miles wouldn't be Spider-Man without Peter
We also need to stop calling Miles Spider-Man.
Summed up not summon.

It's not a rhetoric when there's proper reason though . Wanting everything to be flowers and sunshine won't make that a reality . Like i get it , and hell i'd want that to not be the case too since that's what kills any hope for the future in this story , but it just is . You had me in the first half, ngl
With that being said, I'd the idea of Insomniac exploring Miles being addicted to the trill of being Spider-Man instead of being responsible the Miles Morales people need him to be
I honestly thought this was going to be a hate video lol but you made some good points.
Bro why did it get so serious at the end? The sad song got me though.
The dlc might give us more context into how Miles is handling the added responsibility.
I thought he was handing over the patrolling new york part of spiderman. cause tbh thats all it really is except the big villains here n there
Well he is cuz Insomniac have announced Miles is their main spiderman now .

@@lupussolitarus536 well cause everyone knows it’s only temporary

That Hayley comment was out of pocket 😂😂
after I laughed my ass off about it - i was like wait the symbiote would heal her hearing no ? 😂 imagine it doesn’t though💀
He will still be shown simply greater than Peter watch
I like how so many people agree that Miles needs to back to the drawing board on that suit. That being said, you might get an advantage out of it, because the people he's fighting can't see from all the tears in their eyes after laughing so hard. There's also the psychological warfare, who wouldn't be scared about losing to a guy that dresses like that.
Bro got the infamous 2 song in the video, respect
Game as for nothing to do with ass worse it was just a Easter egg you dumb mf
I seriously doubt that the spider-verse is even canon to the game, its just a reference
@@borkotoko bro what? All of the other side missions in all the insomniac Spider-Man games are canon.

Wow, all these Spider-Man fans giving paragraphs-long answers here’s what most of us think of your opinion TL; DR.
Miles has the support of his mother, girlfriend, best friend, etc.
Peter had no one, I dont count MJ that girl too self absorbed
“you wont be able to talk her out of it or use sound waves” is outrageous 😭😭😭
Tell me about it man. 😂
I get whatcha saying but, this is the best time for Miles to be a full spidey.
Cause He got no rogues.
Miles always gets Petey's sloppy seconds bro 💀
That sounds like a good idea
I seen People call other people racist just bc they said miles should not be Spiderman Jesus
Yeah agreed realistically he would break down at some point
Dawg, please do not tell me ya'll are NOT gonna talk about The Hayley being a symbiote one. That shit was DEVIOUS 💀💀💀
I will say the title nearly got me, all pissed off for a second but I'm glad you explained why you don't believe in what you were saying an yes both peter an miles should be superhero's an protect new york together.
bro legit same XD
i thought it was gonna be another hating on miles vid, but nah his point is that both spiderman gotta work collectively to share that responsibility and work together to help each other.
@@samuraichou7460 agreed man, I vibe with your based comment bro
@@samuraichou7460Miles shouldn't be Spiderman if they're going to nerfed and cuck Peter to prop Miles up.
Here let me. Miles ain't him. But he just made to replace Pete under the premise "what if Spidey was black?"
Never have i EVER thought id be hearing “nigha” used professionally…… and im ALL HERE FOR IT!!! Big ups dawg, you’ve earned a sub
@@nemesisastraea6659 👌
Love that you brought this perspective from miles personal life rather than his combat abilities or whether he is spiderman(he is). Also to acknowledge where peter is coming from. But you provided something that is realistic too all the characters. Be greater together as the game advertised.
I’m ngl, I got real mad when they made Peter lose to Miles. Like what the hell fr. Peter is overly relying on Miles I’m this game.
Can’t they just be comparable in ability? I mean, they were both bitten by a similar radioactive spider, they both have similar powers (with miles even having dope extras), and he’s trained _by_ Peter.
(Spoilers)
On top of this, wasn’t it the venom blast that did Peter in in the game? You know, the weakness of that thing he has on? The alien symbiote thing that’s allergic to miles powers?
Listen man, ultimately, why wouldn’t miles be on a similar level of power to Peter? Sure he has less experience, but if two people are of comparable ability there’s no reason he couldn’t come out on top.
This'll probably be the next game's major conflict.
Peter has a lot of loose ends;
Norman Osborn Spider-Man.
I personally felt the ending of Insomniac's Spiderman 2 kind of dodged the core problem of spiderman's double life that affects all spidermen when it came to leaving it all up to miles, I'm relieved I wasn't alone in feeling that
Edit: a spider just crawled up to me and said hi at your vid's conclusion while on the shitter, IM LETTING HIM BITE ME FOR POWERS LETS GOOOO
nice bro
I like you and others w/ common sense. people dont understand shit anymore and dont really take the time to understand it further
So miles doesn’t really have a lot on his plate with Spider-Man
3:10 even his mother calls him out for it.
i maybe if peter had a mom…
@@jordansauced3825he did but I think she and her husband died in a plane crash and was adopted by the uncle and Aunt.
@@gravekeepersven82Oh, but Peter did have a mom -- her name was May.
@@AHeroWith1000Names yeah I had to do some research on Peter Parker's history and it's crazy said that all his relatives died within a 20-year time span starting from his young life to now.
Nice run down. When you mention miles just wanna fight breaking him down to his bottom denominator. I was fr screaming 😂😂
2:40 you spoke in this whole scene like you were Miles’ dad and it was *hilarious* to me
If they make Miles Morales villain in a form of Man-Spider mutant then this would be really good development for this character for Marvel Spider Man 3.
Ps. I recommend watching the 90 Spider-Man cartoon to see what Man-Spider mutant looks like.
Bro the InFAMOUS 2 music at the end 😭😞
The city is gonna need miles tho if any villains try to destroy the city
That’s not true Peter did just fine for 8 years. Liberal writers be making room for Miles.. and it’s obvious.
Destroy the city? Every villain has a goal
and not to “destroy the city”.
@@trainrack3296 Each well everything you said is true :/
yada yada yada blah blah blah blah..... blah.... blah bluh bluh blah
@@trainrack3296They ARE destroying the city in their own way.
Love the videos man! Keep the hot takes coming, you never cease to amaze my mind with your takes!
The best take I've heard on this situation by far.
If I was Peter I would at least wait until miles is finished with college I mean he’s still in highschool. I know Peter did but he even said how he didn’t want miles to go through that. Like
Peter wait until he’s done with college so his life won’t be a mess like your life.
You violated when you said hailey would hear nothing if she became a symbiote 😂
3:32 that cannot possibly be taken out of context.
Impossible
You know what, I never thought about it like this 🤔. Miles always fiending to hit the streets and throw hands 🤣
I honestly was happy with the way it ended, the insomniac games were always about Peter getting older and struggling with the balance of being a hero, and finally having that settlement is satisfying to see for Peter
Also remember that Miles has it much better off than Peter did when he started, Peter started off young and he had nobody to mentor or help him and had some crazy menaces to fight and still managed, so i think doubting miles is unfair
If Miles gets hurt dealing with Green Goblin Peter is straight up getting killed .
@@humanman9920 how i mean peter far out classes miles
4:40 Technically the symbiote has the ability to cure the host who wears it like it did for Harry so who knows. Maybe it'll cure Hailey's hearing too...I'm sorry bro I had to be that "well actually" guy 🤣
just wait for cindy, gonna be like a 3 man squad
Don't know if you'll ever see this but I thought this video was well written and amazing and you seem to be doing well for yourself
“You may be a spider but your still a man” that was deep you should write
2 Spidermen is indeed better than 1
5:00 minutes onward goes insanely hard, great vid
I also feel like Peter retiring in any way shape or form just goes against his whole responsibility ideal, New York is Pete's responsibility, Spider-Man is his responsibility, and just to stop being Spider-Man just because there's someone to cover for him is out of character, sure he needs a break but like you said we don't know how long that break will be
That is indeed a brilliant vídeo to show that miles even tho is ready to be a spiderman he's not really ready to do the great responsibility side of a spiderman balance his super hero and civilian life, congratulations bro you made a really good video
Damm this is a good analysis.. I agree with this perspective completely.
I want miles to become the a mixture of the Prowler and Spider-man. He already learned that it's safer to include your loved one with you secrets then compromise all your relationships.
5:40 toothpaste commercial lookin
Lmfaoo this video was funny affff man I started laughing at so many different parts… but tbh these were actually some pretty good points that I’ve never rlly thought of until now. Keep up the good work bro
I think they should be a duo. Also I think Miles should get his own name, and not be “the other spider-man”
I'm happy with the way they needed the game.
THANKYOU
“ HE’S BLACK! “
I was finna hate off the title, but this video is funny, understandable, and well made you got a like from me
I was thinking the exact same thing! It feels unusually selfish for Peter to do that
What if Miles saying he’s ready and he can handle being the only Spider-Man; what if this overconfidence gets himself killed and That’s how Pete comes back in the 3rd one? Not only will he have Norman Osborn as the Goblin to deal with, but the psychological damage of losing his protege and the journey to get to the other side of that to conclude his story.
I read the title and was like “Did Miguel O Hara make this video?”
If a Villain rose up that Miles couldn't beat, I'm sure Peter would put his suit back on and be by his side
I'm convinced that Peter taking a break is just setup for a new Miles game. There's no way they won't both be playable in Spider-Man 3.
The spider society.
Miles story should be that bridge into the spider society.
Absolutely right.
