      How'd you do that? Did you caught him by surprise or somethin'? If you do a arm drag you need to grab his arm and as soon as you grab him he'll punch you. How'd you defend the punch?

    I've been practicing Ba Gua for years. We practice the circle walking to make our footwork, while turning, much more stable and faster. We would never walk around an opponent. It would never work, even if they were drunk. But it does look like we are walking around an opponent, when you see Ba Gua guys walk the circle.. Your technique at the 5:00 mark is exceptional, and one I haven't seen before. Thanks. The arm drag (to get behind the opponent) is one we use in Ba Gua. And you are very right...even when behind your opponent, you have one beat before they change positions. They don't just stand there letting you beat on them. Your videos are great. Very practical advice.

    I learned in Kenpo, many years ago, to do these techniques. The first one, ducking under the punch, we added a kick to the back of the knee. It works really good.Thanks for the realistic techniques, lives can be saved.

    I am an 18 years old and I won my very first street fight against a guy in his 30s using the first trick shown. I waited for him to throw a punch then i ducked and moved to the left, then used that 1 second of advantage to move slightly more to the left so I would be completely behind him. After that I just went for his neck and I choked him by squeezing his neck between my lower arms. I choked him untill he passed out and then I called the police. Story is, I was out with my girlfriend who is 17, just going home after watching a movie and this drunk as fuck guy passed by us and then he turned and started touching my girlfriend's private parts. Of course I got angry and told him to fuck off while I pushed him. I am 90% sure I only won because he was totally drunk, like he could barely even stand. He started the fight so I reported him for attacking me AND sexual assault on my girlfriend.

    As a stratigist i already you already flawed on the front kick. A more effective way if and this is actually if you visualized it. The best resolve is to move forward. Majorly similar as a parry. You have full control at that point and no need to even block a front jab kick.

    Arm drags work wonders!! I feel like if your striking you gotta be a little weary against the arm your not dragging because the arm you'd use to defend punches from the free arm is doing the dragging eh???
    But I can't say much cause I honestly have t arm dragged someone trying to knock my block off.
    But man against richie's capoeira combo I just saw.... no body can survive that attack........

      You're not usually going to be able to hit an armdrag when the guy is in front of and swinging for the fences. However in the pre-fight posturing and pushing they are very useful. And also after the distance has been closed and you're now in the clinch!

      Self Defense Tutorials yeah indeed! I'll have to work on my arm drags from clinch :)

      Maybe I'll have to shoot a video on it, but one of the easiest ways to do it is when you're in the over-under and your opponent is digging for the double underhook during pummeling. Control the wrist of the inserting hand, and arm drag with your hand that would ordinarily have been fishing for your own underhook.

    • @ManifoldSky
      @ManifoldSky 6 лет назад

      The torque from the arm drag makes it very difficult for the opponent to strike with the opposite hand, and robs it of almost all of its power. Also, you can still parry with your opposite hand.

    Dude seriously knock it off. A parry toca front kick when if you are able to see it and not move in because he is unbalanced to say parry? Crackerjack blackbelts is not a thing.

  • @Zalibos

    Neck choke hold after such an ok pull? Fail. Again stomp the toes do not exasperate. A behind neck choke hold is easy to get out of in the rigjt state of mind. Lets continue this dumpster fire.

    You strength has to be super human if you think that lazy lock head on back doesnt open you up for a world of hurt. Stop the BS.

    Next BS oh he cant elbow me. Dude your feet is a wide open your face is not the only thing that will hurt when contacted. In which thats would I go for. No feet or toes means you lost.

    Now he wants to look at the ceiling. Do you really think that without the experience you can actually dominate your opponent in such a slow motion. All of this bullshit sounds good on paper yet most of this dumpster fire of self defence is used in movies to make it entertaining.

  • @Zalibos
    @Zalibos 2 года назад

    Quick lesson. Most opponents are not taught the art of self defence. They will throw haymakers and hope to connect. Please please please if you are of reason mind do not by far ever do what this guy is posting. You will fimd yourself knocked the fuck out like craig.
