I remember being at a Wings concert in Chicago Illinois during their Band on the Run Tour and seeing Paul turn back and give the drummer a shrug and sheepish grin during _Live and Let Die_ as he almost came in early on part of the song. This was in the days when audiences sat much closer even to the super bands. We were in a box seat section directly above the band -- almost looking directly down on them.. Great vivid memories... Including Paul looking up several times at our section and giving us a smile and a wink.
A tour doing what? Playing all covers? They need some songs first don't they? Both of their catalogs for original music are a little on the ultra-sparse side, no? No one goes on a world tour playing covers unless you're "Zepperella". And both of these kids are way too good of musicians for that nonsense.
@@autohmae I know that. But she doesn't have a catalog of music that would warrant going on a tour with Yoyoka. That was the point of the conversation. Even combined they don't have enough original music, popular with the people, to justify going on a tour with each other. That and they have NOTHING original that they've written together. It's way too early for a tour collaboration like that to happen with them, unless they plan on doing mostly covers.

The girls are spot on here but that bassist, props to that dude, he laid down an album worthy bass line from start to finish, perfect. He always looks like he's just standing in line waiting to get a burger while executing super precise rhythm lines like it's not even a thing >.
Terasawa is under a lot of pressure. He’s an amazing bassist, but it must be odd working with such talent musicians that are still so young. An amazing performance!
But look at it this way, who else would you rather have with these two young savants ? Having such a veteran as Terasawa involved is exactly the right thing to do to work with these amazing young ladies.
What amazes me is not just Yoyoka's timing and feel at her age, which is better than allot of adult drummers, but its that her mind is able to remember and execute all the intricate changes of this song. and at 12 years old she is a smart little kid. I have always said that top musicians aren't just talented. they also have special minds. and I think that kids that play an instrument from a young age develop there mind in a way that no other schooling can give them. all the musicians in this video are really good. every few days I find myself watching it again. I think I've seen it around five time now.
I would think that once she's learned a song she can play it and not have to think much about it. It's like her hands and feet just know what to do. She is truly amazing. This young guitarist, OMG! Just shredding it! I had this cranked up in the cast this morning on the way to work. I love it! I would however, like to see a young female bassist.
Since first learning about Yoyoka I've watch nearly all her YT videos and several of them 30+ times and I prefer her cover version over the original. I've also watched a lot of the drummers reactions video that feature Yoyoka and it's because of those that I really learned to appreciate just what she's doing. You're right, Yoyoka is wired for music, groove and time. Of course there are many great drummers out there and I've watched a lot of drum cover vids, but when it comes to the sound, Yoyoka covers just make me feel the music and I so much enjoy watching her play. Before ending up here I just finished her cover of Steam followed by Superstition. I'm happy for her and the family and hope their time in the US is a wonderful experience. Show them what you can do Yoyoka.
I remember when their virtual jam on this came out last year. Having been a fan of both girls for a couple of years I was like "YES, YES, YES", couldn't click play fast enough. Such a treat for them finally to get together. They play great together, should start a band.
