THAT VOCALIST! wow. This is the first Yoyoka recording I would say is radio worthy anywhere in the world. Everything else she has done is great and for moments when musicians want to appreciate another musician they are fine but they are not what anyone would expect to hear when they switch on a radio in a car going down the road. This, however, is something that deserves to be in rotation on all forms of media. Here she shows for the first time that she really does have what it takes to be a world-class studio drummer, she's totally in the pocket and making all the dull and slow tempo parts where nothing is really happening INTERESTING in nuanced little ways that never step on what the other instruments are doing. Fn wow and that whole band is just awesome, every single performer there is top notch. Still can't get over that vocalist. That guy is THE best David Coverdale interpreter of all time. He has a unique voice that would work in anything but, man, I almost want to say I prefer his rendition of this song more than Coverdale's. Also, the guitarist, umm, what can be said? The guy is great and really gets what Blackmore intended, even stretches it a bit into a more somber territory which is quite a trick to pull off. The bass and keys and obviously professionals. I'm shocked by this one, it doesn't have any of the trendy ''Hey, look at this young girl doing adult things'' vibe to it. This piece is a bona fide performance not just a show thing begging likes or portraying her in the soft light of carnival freak ''kid performer''. Bravo! Seriously, bravo to everyone involved in this recording!
One thing is important to notice. Whole session is played without click tracks. Just the feel. And in this song that is shown the most. You can clearly hear/feel that in this song.
@@TheGpono Gary, if you thought I was labeling her a carnival freak you need medication. I was implying that she has been promoted as such. What an awesome performance, Yoyoka. As a Deep Purple fan, I simply loved it. You and your bandmates were totally fabulous. You should do the entire Deep Purple Greatest Hits catalogue, if possible, with your bandmates. May I add a wishlist? 1- Highway Star 2- Child in Time 3- Woman from Tokyo 4- The Mule 5- Strange Kind of Woman 6- Lazy 7- Space Truckin 8- Perfect Strangers 9- Mistreated (done) 10- Smoke on the Water And then the encores 11- Knocking at your Back Door 12- Black Night 13- Speed King 14- Stormbringer 15- Burn (done). Just letting my imagination fly away. God bless you.
This performance from everyone here was better than Glenn Hughes and his band, that did a 1974 Deep Purple set on tour in 2019. The best part is that Yoyoka ,at 12 ,is as good as anyone in this band. Satsuma is really great, probably the best I've heard, at imitating Blackmore's style and tone.
I've been a Deep Purple fan since the early 70's, and I think this is one of the best covers of the song I've heard. Amazing performance from all involved, I would like to hear them play Lazy (one of my favourite Deep Purple songs) and see the keyboard player go into full Jon Lord mode :-)
While waiting for Yoyoka to do a cover, (if you haven't already) it's worth checking out the cover of Lazy done by Joe Bonamassa and Jimmy Barnes on RUclips - amazing!
Great job by all. These are _not_ covers. These are infusions of life into old classics like you rarely ever get to experience. Yoyoka, the bass player and the organist locked like one instrument in the pocket. The guitarist almost made me weep. And the singer... So good words can't express. _This was just damn special !!!_
But classic rock already spread around the world before it became "classic". I don't think classic rock needs any more ambassadors, especially someone Yoyoka's age who has a budding catalogue of original music that none of you listen to. If you guys supported her ACTUAL BAND the way you do these covers, she'd have more incentive to create original music. I'm not saying that she doesn't enjoy classic rock, she does. But she's had a band, for the last 7 years, that lives in her house. It would be more beneficial for her longevity if that were the music that was getting the lion share of attention. This would at least allow her to create more original songs so that she can capture a younger audience and start building a fan base that will grow with her, instead of nursing one that will end up dying before her.

While we can all agree the musicians and their performances are utterly amazing especially for one take live performances, but let us also appreciate the recording and engineering taking place. The mix is PERFECT and without that, the enjoyment would be significantly less. Bravo!

This tune was one of my favorites of the night. Yoyoka is definitely the queen of the pocket. Love it. All of these musicians are top notch. Absolutely sublime.
For this to be a live one shot is a bit like the moon landing as a one shot deal. Anything can go wrong but instead everything goes right. Just an amazing performance by all involved. This is why no one in a recording studio for days on end and then produced for months can replace live music. You can't really autotone and overproduce excellence. for me watching her play these tunes with a live band of amazing musicians, was the best. it somehow made her even better, esp since, as someone pointed out, they really didn't rehearse these at all.
Yoyoka is wearing shoes!!!!!!!! Having watched videos from 7yo(and earlier) to 12yo - this could be a first. It has been a delight watching Yoyoka's drumming development
As deep down good as I've ever heard. Reminiscent of Whipping Post by the Alman Brothers. Can't decide between that guitar and the vocals for which are my favorite. Good thing I don't need to. For me this was the highlight of the Birthday Live Stream. Ive listened to this several times now and Lord Have Mercy! Feeds my spirit. Thanks to Yoyoka and her parents and people for this gift. Arigato to anyone who had any part in this big slice of soul stirring music!
I was impressed when I saw it live but now, reviewing it a little at a time, I confess I'm speechless. Everyone is great - Yoyoka as always rocking - but the two vocalists...perfect!

for me watching her play these tunes with a live band of amazing musicians, was the best. it somehow made her even better, esp since, as someone pointed out, they really didn't rehearse these at all.
@@gizmotis and its not live either
@@johnmcsmith594 It is a one take LIVE. There is no editing except the camera angles.
@@1flash3571 Its a one take LIVE, this isn't a video of the one take though ok?
Yoyoka is wearing shoes!!!!!!!! Having watched videos from 7yo(and earlier) to 12yo - this could be a first.
It has been a delight watching Yoyoka's drumming development
Yoyoka is a fantastic drummer, the band members are fantastic, this cover is fantastic. 🐰🥁🐰🥁🐰
This young girl is on her way in becoming a great percussionist in time 🙏😎
ALL MEGA WELL DELIVERED SONGS, FROM YOYOKAS BIRTHDAY BASH, RIGHT ON GAL KEEP ON ROCKING US.
Fantastic......and that vocalist absolutely rocks.
ヨヨカちゃん誕生日おめでとう🎶✨😆✨🎶
このVo.凄く👍
Yuichi Ikuzawa is just too good
I was impressed when I saw it live but now, reviewing it a little at a time, I confess I'm speechless. Everyone is great - Yoyoka as always rocking - but the two vocalists...perfect!
素晴らしい歌唱力ですね。最強です。
Да,вокал,просто потрясный!
wow that dude can wail..what a bluesy voice!
Yoyoka has an excellent taste in music. Deep Purple is one of those bands that was most recognized by other musicians.
God, I have not heard this in 35 years. Thanks Yoyoka! Great jam. Happy Birthday!
what i love is everyone is playing great and she is playing so relaxed with her game face on great session young lady
4:32. This reef makes me chilled.

素晴らしいです😂💕✨
I can't understand why they don't sell this entire session on CD and Blu-ray. I'm sold already.
Because Ritchie and his lawyers will tear them out.
The singer managed to eclipse Yoyoka's performance
Ridiculously good. Everyone in this band is amazing, with Yoyoka keeping it all together. Wow.
