  • Constant scratching, biting and itching are understandable concerns for pet owners. It's an obvious sign that your dog is uncomfortable, and it could be a symptom of a much more serious problem. But, if you nip it in the bud with an itchy dog home remedy, you probably won't need to seek additional veterinary care.
    Full guide here: topdogtips.com/itchy-dog-home...
    Veterinarians do warn that some of the causes of dog's itchy skin may be very serious and dangerous to your pet's health. Usually, if your dog's itchiness is severe and doesn't go away, you'll need to do tests at your local vet clinic to rule out any serious health conditions.
    "This spray should not be used if your dog has open wounds on his skin. It will sting and cause your dog pain. You should also pay close attention to the itchy areas after applying this itchy dog home remedy. If you notice any redness or the itchiness seems to get worse, stop using the spray and contact your veterinarian."

    Chamomile tea is working like a dream! I'd post pics if I could but believe my doggie got dermatitis after a new groomer that I realized has questionable hygiene ethics. 3 days after his bath I began to realize they didn't even wash out whatever shampoo they used. His fur began to fall out & he pulled a huge chunk off his back! To my horror I saw bloody scab like spots appear that were so itchy he was rubbing under bushes to scratch. He began to get large scaly green dander flakes, and the entire area was angry pink. I put several chamomile tea bags in a gallon water bottle, seeped with hot water after I saw your video & cooled it. Poured the entire jug onto his back & the next day the flesh returned to normal color! Thank you so much for posting this natural method & helping ease his inflammation! It really works! I even squished some of the tea on my mouth after eating spiced food I'm allergic too and it soothed my gum pain! Chamomile tea works wonders.

    Thank you for this my chihuahua was aggressively biting at her tail with itching skin due to allergies and she’s much calmer now ! Wellness exam gave her a clean bill of health but the itching started when the season turned so this was a godsend thank you

    Thanks! My chiweenie is always itchy. My dachshund/terroir mix not at all. I know she doesn't have fleas, otherwise the other dog would be scratching too. And I'd have flea bites since they both are snugglers. (With me and each other)
    Going to add tea to her bath after an oatmeal rub and see if it helps.🌝

    Thanks for the tips. I really like the chamomile tea bags. My Jack Russell had year round allergies and I feel for him watching him scratch. He checked out great at his wellness exam a month ago, but I am concerned about his itchiness. Thanks again!

      I have a jack russel who also has skin allergies 😟. How did the home remedies work out?

    • @CallMeBossLady
      @CallMeBossLady 3 года назад +1

      Hope4ourfallen I decided to do mix Braggs vinegar with water in a spray bottle. I spritzed him with it and wiped him down with my hands to cool his irritation. It worked well for him. He didn’t mind being spritzed.

      @@CallMeBossLady thank you for the reply💖 what is brags vinager? Is that a type or a brand ? Like brags apple cider vinager? or brags is the type instead of applecider. My poor pal has a raw spot on her tail and the vet gave her a shot for skin allegies that did work, but i can not afford to get her back in for a while😟

      Hope4ourfallen sorry I spelled Braggs wrong. Yes that is the one. It worked just fine on my boy.

      @@CallMeBossLady i just dont know if that is a brand or a specific type of vinager though? Like white vinager and apple cider vinager are types of vinager.. Is it a catagory of vinager or just a brand name for an apple cider that you used? Sory i am a guy and lucky to find the vinager isle let alone the right ones.lol😉

    Thank you so much for this video! May I ask, will the Vit E oil or Coconut Oil burn if she's scratched so much it's red and open/raw area? My dog keeps itching back around her neck, I think it's related to Spring time. Thanks for any help. God Bless

  • @SuzetteG316

    Pretty good info. It would have helped folks greatly to have been more specific about the amount of coconut oil to feed their dog based on weight. Also, don't buy just any old coconut oil in the store. You want organic, cold-pressed, unrefined virgin coconut oil, preferably in a glass jar. There are a lot of cheap alternatives, but they will not give you all the health benefits you seek for either yourself your dog.

    The dog ate the oatmeal. Wife drank the tea. The kids poured the vinegar on each other. The cure for an itchy dog? Beer and a ball game.
