Something that's often overlooked is the hinges on a lot of strut bars. They allow flex in an up and down movement, and that flex also happens.
I've actually been addicted to watching these videos. The host is very good at explaining things and demonstrating a procedure. I've learning more in the last 2 days that I have in the past year. Thanks and keep it up!

Great job with this video, and nice lil' trick with dropping the 1 strut, as I don't know how many people I've seen attempt to beat these things on with a hammer etc. .
My 1987 MR2 came stovk with these, I never knew that's what these were :)
I enjoyed this video! Its also impotent to consider that some thinner/ cheaper strut braces are not very effective if they flex easier then the chassis its self (eg if you can bend it by leaning on it)

Nice explanation! I noticed that fitting a strut bar to my front
Mcpherson strut towers makes the steering noticeably heavier. Why would
this be? Does it mean the tower cannot flex so the top mount bearing
gets loaded up?
Do you have to torque down the nuts after installing the strut bars?

followed the link, found them for plenty of cars like grand ams and G5s, but not for my grand prix.... and i could really use that triangulated strut bar. 236 thousand miles on the thing and it handles like a three wheeled nova. really could use something to stiffen the chassis
I have a 99 integra gsr with a skunk2 intake manifold, will a strut bar fit over that? The factory one was too low to fit the new intake manifold.
So I have lowered my car to a considerable height. Not too low yet now to high, but I could still feel the weight distribution or body roll of my car as I turn or enter a freeway through a sharp curve. I am intending to drop my car another inch or an inch and a half and add a strut bar. My main question is: When people say that a strut bar makes the ride "stiffer", does that mean reducing body roll? I've watched this video over and over but I can't seem to grasp the concept in my mind. I know for a fact that SWAY bars reduce body roll significantly, but if I have adjustable suspension systems why should I replace my sway bar to reduce body roll if I am willing to drop my car another inch or so? Can someone help me please? Thanks!

torque is greater than horse power
Strut bar accommodates for that torque

Corsa c doesn't have any bolts on the tower mounts? I've gotta etech strut brace but unsure on fitment
***** Im not going to say to NOT drop it again, that is your choice, but you're only lowering the center of gravity, not stiffening up the chassis. This has to be done with cross supports. I would say go with the sway bar if you need some very noticeable increase, however strut bars do offer support as well, just not as much.

how is the hood going to close?
These strut bars are designed to allow the hood to be able to close. That's part of their engineering process: making sure it can be installed without requiring other modifications.
Now they have to take it off to replace the OEM intake.
Overweight is bad, bending is ok since force won't be applied this way.

Why are civic strut bars soo much iv gotten them for other cars for like 15 to 20 bucks. These bars are like 130 at best at pretty much every shop.

Oh my god, an almost bone stock LS Integra!!! Come on man, you can still get one of these almost anywhere. LS's are a dime a dozen no need to fap over there buddy.
