Vert doors are for Lamborghini's... leave them on Lamborghinis! (I personally dislike Lamborghini, because they all look the same, but I do however appreciate what they're capable of. I'm more of a Ferrari and Pagani guy myself.)

I really don't care about the look, I've never liked these aesthetically either, but I'm now considering it just based off function alone, people park too fucking close to me and my celica doors open wide, it's hard to get out of a low seated car if the door isn't open wide enough and the doors are heavy, so they swing back, just a pain really, so these might be more function than form for me.
Hey, good idea, why don't I add 50plus pounds to my car on the outer edges for no reason? That way everyone can know my car is a joke as soon as I open the door.
Granted, there is room in the world for different ideas of style. I think it looks like shit, but that's not really the point. The point is, it compromises performance by adding weight. The guy in the video even says that the hinges are heavy. Choosing style over substance goes against the ethos of form and function and in my opinion any serious car enthusiast, meaning someone who modifies their car to improve the way it drives, would laugh their ass off at Lambo doors. Just imagine the same guy who put these dumb ass hinges on their car spending money on a light weight hood or super thin poly glass. In the car world you pay an ultra high premium for light weight parts to gain speed and reduce time; sticking extra heavy hinges on your car is just advertising your stupidity. In the end there is a difference between people who like to be seen beside their cars and people who want to drive them.
sam gossen Point taken, but there are so many subcultures in the automotive world that have nothing to do with performance - lowriders, mini-trucks, etc. We love them all. :)

The only car I could imagine seeing an aftermarket Lambo-style door hinge and be pulled off right would be an NSX. Thats just my opinion.
