"You get this weapon from quitting your job" LMAO
that’s no joke. I remember trying for it back in the day. A rogue named Namchir got it first in our server followed by a warrior. I’m pretty sure that had people playing their accounts as they had to be on 24/7. Interesting to see how it goes this time with such strict account sharing rules lol
My irl friend and I ranked back in vanilla, I got R11 he R14. Think he played 20h a day for months to get his R14. Its super time consuming the last ranks
lmaooooooo
lol it took me 2 months of 15 hr days but man once you have those weps...feelsgood
Maydie was the warrior that got it second on my server. Took me a minute to remember.
You missed any green item in the game you find at level 4 lol
classic.wowhead.com/item=1917/jeweled-dagger
Dat Jeweled Dagger tho!
@@joshuadonnelly1978 classic.wowhead.com/item=3848/big-bronze-knife I used to make good money selling those on my noob blacksmith char. There are not a lot of good daggers at that level so people who wanted a decent weapon would buy them for as much as 1g a piece. Bonus points for it looking like Rambo's knife.
Dunno what the market will be like when classic launches but you might wanna keep an eye on the price of those if you level blacksmithing!
@@Silamon2
I believe it. And Bronze Patterned Bracers too, I imagine.
That's because 90% of the greens a level 4 winds up with will be mailed to them by an alt. ;)
4 str 4 stamina leather belt
I feel like Wolf's Head Helm and Manual Crowd Pummeler should have been on this for Feral Druids lol
Arthur this video is just for mages, rogues and warriors duh
@@nathancasey7712
i.e. the real dps classes.
@@xenteko7249 i.e. the boring classes
@@Eggugat i.e. the ones getting phat loot
@@nostepsnek1776 they all get phat loot. Every class is awesome lmao
as hard as an Iceblock :D liked that one. Cool List of amazing stuff my noob-ass will never ever see. Thx !
All I saw was a big list of hunter gear
i dont think you watched the video, 1st 5 mins of vid had tank and healer/caster trinkets.
@@theadd_gamer1182 whooosh
Spoken like a true hunter!!
TheADD_Gamer Well YOU clearly weren’t watching because that is all clearly hunter gear. Noob.
Another reason tanks want Thunderfury is that the 2nd half of the proc is a debuff which applies 20% attack speed reduction to what you are tanking. And it stacks with Thunderclap's attack speed debuff. This means not only is it the best threat generation weapon, it is also the best damage mitigation weapon. It also gives prot Paladins access to an attack speed debuff.
Oooh prot pallies, you don’t deserve the hand delt to you
Other “most OP item lists” have been lists of interesting and useful niche items as where this was basically all the best raid items.
@Steve Sherman this dudes full of fallacys, and likes to make fun of "neckbeards" while throwing around spreadsheets....
Basicly items what you kept using when preparing for karazhan in early tbc
You forgot the best early two-hander in the game - Bonereavers Edge. The stacking sunder effect is additive to traditional sundering, which allows you to ignore most bosses armor. It's fuking nuts. Especially in PVP, one or two stacks from a couple hits and your opponent is going to feel the hurt fast.
Obviously the stuff from the final bosses in the final raid are going to be OP. I was shocked things like Band of Accuria, Onslaught Girdle, and other items that last multiple raid tiers in Vanilla werent mentioned over stuff that most people will never get a chance to use.
band of accuria is a great one, shudda mentioned it. : )
You left out "goblin jumper cables". So op
XL Edition
kiss of the spider + hand of justice + sword spec + slice and dice + blade flurry
And then popping adrenaline rush , insane 😂
Nice video. Pretty sure Scarab Brooch off Viscidus in AQ40 should be on this list. Used through WotLK and the same effect was put on the healer legendary Val'anyr.
Brooch is from Princess last i checked.
@@phinix473 ??????????????????
Did you say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
I think someone said [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
I, FOR SURE, heard somebody say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
Was somebody talking about [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
And [Dirge] obviously
anal [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]
?
HoJ is best in slot trinket for most melee dps till Naxx. For some, it’s the entirety of classic. And it’s like a level 53 blue from BRD :)
Love this, man. Thank you, and peace my brother!
I remember on a mage using Talisman of Ephermeral Power for ages. Popping it felt like going super saiyan.
I like how the hungering cold looks exactly like the sword of a thousand truths
Rejuv gem and Darkmoon:Blue Dragon were BiS for priests up until BC (TBC).
EDIT: The scarab trinket from Black morass was probably on par/stronger
My friend was using it on cast/mana intensive fights in Black Temple. He said that even with 2% proc chance the mana regen was still significant
All of those items he mentions Fury warrior and Rogue, we all know those are hunter items.
But seriously though, right? :P At least that Prestor's Talisman is a hunter item if I ever saw one
Zeal is dead its so sad
Petheal equipment is important okay?
The shaman class trinket from bwl is INSANE, it enables 6k damage, 1.5 second cast burst combos
very good list. I would have included BRE. But I can see your justification for all the items on this list too. gg!
You totally forgot about the Darkmoon Card: Blue Dragon.
A trinket so good, it completely changed the healing priest meta (by bypassing the 5 second rule while casting, especially when combined with clearcasts to regen as much mana as possible) and allows highly geared priests to spam heals like Paladins.
The trinket was so insanely OP, priests were still using it in TBC endgame content. It actually had to get nerfed during TBC so that priests would have an incentive to grind out new trinkets.
lol, yea its great. I mentioned it in my last video actually, funny that it slipped my mind overnight.
Shit I even used it on my shaman and it was OP.
I've mained Mage since Vanilla. Can confirm the effect Neltharion's Tear has on me.
thanks dude. always a good time!
You also need to collect the base of Atiesh from C'thun to complete the staff.
"The Most [Pretty Good Items, They Last A Couple Raid Tiers] Items In Vanilla WoW!"
Great video i agree fully with all the items listed, a little salty no sulfuras was mentioned it's BiS for ret palas and enhancement in both pvp and pve until r14 and then finally might of menethil and available at launch, not to mention how sick it is for warriors with the top end dps and slow speed in pvp :)
Great video!
The background music is so relaxing
In vanilla I had the pre nerf Invulnerable Mail chest on my enhancement shaman. It gave you a paladin shield off a chance on being hit. No melee class could touch me and live, especially rogues. People used to think I was cheating. They heavily nerfed it after a while when people started to hear about it. It was so good that main tanks started using it and it was a Mail chest.
Great video. Nice edit
Another great video punkrat
R.i.p. protection paladins.
Empyrean Demolisher deserves an honorable mention
'Like a smack addict stealing their kids nintendo switch for their next fix' - beautiful 😍
Man, I remember grinding SM for weeks to afford the Lionheart Helm.
Ran around in Searing Gorge farming Thorium and the crystals for it for days.
Totally fking worth it though, cos that was a mad improvement over pretty much anything in the game at the time.
We only had 1 or 2 players able to craft it on the realm so I even had to send in-game mail with text asking for an appointment to have it crafted and for what fee.
It was truly a world of it's own back then. Those were the days of MMORPG's. Damn.
Man I can't waaait to enjoy pve/pvp on 60 :) thanks for alot of good content you brings us. Keep it up
I recommend enjoying the leveling who knows how long raiding will last
@@catclaws1847 I will:):):)
I may have just missed it, but I didn’t notice any mention of the Chromatically Tempered Sword (from Chromaggus in BWL). CTS is amazing as a MH for rogues and dps warriors and is surpassed only just barely by the Ancient Qiraji Ripper in AQ40 (although no guild is going to give that to you if you already have CTS, as the difference between the two swords is quite minimal).
Honestly, though, Naxx gear is in a class by itself. So many drops in Naxx are crazy good that virtually everything in Naxx can be classified as OP.
I’m missing my: “you know the drill soldiers!”
no one in these videos tlaks about like a lvl 30 item thats useful at lvl 50 or something like where are the non 60 ops
Zalied yeah maybe Punk can do this same video for items that aren’t level 60 items. So like random trinkets or weapons you can get at earlier levels that are OP for the level
good idea
isnt there a level 40 something helm that is a must have if playing feral druid dps in PVE? in vanilla
mazzaker18 yep, Wolfshead Helm
yea, those items tend to be the ones that actually are OP in pvp
Couple the ZG trinket and the AV or MC spell buff trinket with the trinket stacking ability those were the two trinkets that changed how wow dealt with GCD's so I put those combos as the most OP trinkets since they changed so much and how we play to this day.
I don't play WoW anymore but I still enjoy watching these kind of WoW videos.
i totally agree, those lvl 70 trinkets in vanilla was defo the best ;) 3:40 in the vid
Um, He said trinkets in Naxx are similar to the trinkets from BC and on then showed trinkets from BC as an example before showing trinkets from Naxx.
I think Onslaught Girdle from Rag deserves an honorable mention :)
how long can Ironfoe last. PPL been saying it can compete with AQR and NAXX trash hammer if you are world buffed. The extra attack scales better with buffs.
Gonna last awhile, Ironfoe (and HoJ) is often nerfed on Pservers but i don't see Blizzard nerfing it in Classic.
Depends on proc rate. On private servers they didnt have access to proc rates on weapons that didnt state the chance. So if the chance is lower than on private server then it might not even be worth getting at all
@@TampicoLoL Actually many people say the proc rate on private servers is much higher than it was in classic. The proc rate on my PS is ~20%. Alot of people seem to think that it was ~2% in Vanilla. We'll have to wait and see.
Well, I tanked with Ironfoe until I got Naxx weapons. As stated with IF, HoJ and crusaders, you are pretty much guaranteed to have crusader Buff on all time.
I have ironfie since one week. Got if after 406 runs.
She proc each single fight on trash mobs
Proc rate is 3.2% and can proc on multiple proc with trash blade and hand of justice
I am a TANK, DEEP PROT spec. We were 3 tank at molten core yesterday. So, i decided to equip my ironfoe + trash blade + hand of justice and most of my fury gear. I had Onyxia world buff and dire maul one too
most of the fights i was with the top DPS guys on recount . People were like " wtf dude, you re prot spec " My DPS was around 500 dps mono target and more in cleave situations
The procs of ironfoe under world buff are insane, believe me, you go to 0 to 100 rage in a second, this weapon is really worth it. She proc A LOT, and you have a very very big chance to force the proc when you WW and cleave
When come the time to Exec, she is really good too since she can put you to 100 rage instantly and Exec damage dont depend of your weapon damage range. Its totally depending on your AP and rage
"I wouldn't recommend it." literally made me laugh out loud
For pvp you missed Freezing band for Mages
Im going on my first raid ever on my guild. this video is nice
Somewhere there is an Enhancement Shaman with Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros sitting and crying. ;D
sad that Sulfuras is not as good as thunderfury late game :(
@@johnlee-so4ji Would totally disagree with you.
@@JustNepe 1.12 shamans can't really make use of Hand of Rag :(
Kiss of the spider is BIS for fury war before rogue, since if affect the "energy system" of only 1 class.
Planning for Naxx already... Aren't we about 1.5 years away from that?
No
I know people say everything is a hunter item, but Fury warriors seem to be after practically everything they can wear aswell.
People dont say that. People know hunters can use almost all weapons and that means theres been a history of hunters in vanilla rolling and winning items they shouldnt even roll on
@@Terilice1 as I'm watching this I have yet to hear the word hunters dropped so still not sure if I'm supposed to trial and roll on some of these trinkets lol
shout out to the blue zg bloodvine boe chest (even if you don't have tailoring for the set bonus) is pretty good esp for shadow priest and only best until oracle chest or maexxna chest.
and devilsaur
Most overpowered raiditem (for spellcaster, specially healers) was the original green offhand Spirit of Aquementas wich got nerfed pretty damn fast. "Decreases mana cost to all spells by 25."
lol, i was about to QQ about the titanic leggings.. b4 u put it in there. Good heads up!
and i always thought they messed up with Atiesh, you should be able to go into crow form and fly if you had it.
kiss of the spider is BIS for hunters until Black temple/Zul'Aman (whichever is released first)
Not just melee hit there dude it also counts for ranged attacks
Your intro is 10/10!
Wonder how the game designers was thinking when designed the Lionheart Helm. Really strong for lvl56 and BoE
V1X0 kinda pricey as well. ;)
didint this helm came a bit later in the game ? and good that theres more variation in methods of getting good items. its not as stale as current wow that makes all of their gear invalid as a new raid comes.
@@0v0rd No, Lionheart Helm was ingame right from the start, dropping from open world bosses/Ragnaros and Onyxia.
They added the Titanic Leggings later tho. I believe it was with AQ40
@@skajaja7314 it's a crafted helm ya tard. I should know, I crafted that helm as well as the Titanic leggings in vanilla.
lionheart is by far the most crazy overpowered prof made item in the game
When I think OP I don't think final tier, I think low level but good til end game kind of thing. Even a BWL item being good through the next tier isn't exactly blowing my skirt up... Crescent Staff from WC is OP - most Horde can get at 18 or so and it'll last into Scarlet Monastery. Crowd Pummeler is a late 20s wep and druids can wear that bad boy well into their 40s. Even the ZF tank weps one could get in early-to-mid 40s and it'll last til end game.
Maybe my understanding of OP is wrong
Relbl feral druids can pump out very good dps with pummeler and use it in raiding as well. Check out Shedo the Druid if you want to see more of that.
The attack speed boost from crowd pummeler is godly good for feral dps and tanking.
Skull of Imp Doom. Alternate BiS green legendary for all classes. That OP.
OMG I can't believe you didn't mention
woot Ancient Qiraji Ripper on a best items list? love it! i actually had that back in the day on my rogue, next upgrade is from KT soo yea pretty damn good
So how long does Atiesh last into BC, and which class is it actually better for?
Bre & dark edge of insanity
Classic hype!
having not played classis back in the day, how good was the hand of rag?
Was good in pvp for Ench shamans, Rets, MS warriors, but specs with 2-handed weapons rarely got invited to the raid, so I personally never seen anyone using it in boss fights, unfortunately.
Robe of Volatile isnt even bis phase 1 for mages though?
Punkrat got all the puns... Punrat
it is the trinket from arathi highlands that give a 5 sec stun. :)
GM swords of thou'senths truths. To get them all one must do .... Is quit ones job, grind out n put in that work, until you die.... Then you, may have a chance, to get these weapons. Great vid PunkRat. Ty
What normalization of attack speed cuz I seen the stats their isn’t atk spd modifier
Arcanite Reaper, 2 handed axe, was a big upgrade for me in classic
It was easily the best pre raid weapon for most people, and probably as good or better than a lot of the molten core weapons!
I saved all my raid points for the whole BWL and got the mishundare :)
The sword of a thousand truths 😂😂😂
I recently discovered your videos and am very glad I did. Excellent stuff.
Any items that survived the spellpower nerf became stupidly OP with AQ40 gear. My vanilla guild set my pally up as an AoE tank to speed run level 60 5 mans. 5/5 avengers, TF and skullflame shield was utterly broken. I didn’t even need mitigation because the mages could burn so hard nothing had time to hit me. I was definitely a special case. Our server was dead and our MT could only play a couple hours a week so we had to improvise. Offering pre raid bis to anyone willing to join our guild is the only thing that kept us alive.
Good video, but how about Manual Crowd Pummeler? It's the best wep for threat as druid tank. The only wep that beats MCP in threat is Thunderfury for warriors
Absolutely. That thing is monstrous for ferals in general. I highly recommend people go watch Skarm Tank; he will completely correct your misconceptions about druid tanks. There are a surprising number of instances where they are superior to warriors.
it only has 3 charges farming a bunch of them just to be viable isnt really over powered
@@mfranks4731
They are incredibly easy to farm for ferals, and the weapon allows feral tanks to generate threat that is on par with *thunderfury* warrior tanks.
How is a low level item that competes with _thunderfury_ for threat generation, not OP? It's BiS for the entirety of classic.
Further, it doesn't just allow viability, but *superiority* in _many_ instances.
I took the time to note the instances Skarm Tank (warrior and druid tank speedrun raider) mentioned for phase 1:
-----Molten Core-----
-Magmadar: Warriors better for tanking.
-Other than that, Feral with resist gear is better choice. Pummeler king for threat, ofc.
-----Onyxia-----
-Weak attacks.
-Fears in phase 3 makes warriors good, but Druids can pump out more threat. Fear Ward or Tremor Totems important because not even warriors can break out of all the fears she throws.
-----BWL-----
-Lack of feral gear noticeable at this point. Consumables can help mitigate issues.
-Razorgore Phase1: Feral mobility is extremely helpful for trash mobs that are pumped out. Can also hibernate.
-Vaelastrasz: Druids are just better tanks due to threat generation.
-Broodlord: Consumables important; Stoneshield pot and armor buffs to reach armor cap possible. If armor capped, Broodlord will not hit hard.
-Three Drakes: Same for druid as for warrior.
-Chromaggus: hits hard, scary for druids. Can't use hourglass. Warrior better.
-Nef: Warrior better.
FINALLY a youtuber who knows how to pronounce Maexxna!
What? How else do people pronounce it lol? It can't be that butchered 😱
@@Ayayron_e3 a certain youtuber i have watched pronounced it Maxxena. so yeah...
@@LikeVenom18 sounds like hamsterwheel
Would have loved to see Ironfoe, Hand of Edward the odd and Darkmooncard:Blue Dragon on this list. First one can last up until naxx, the second I as a paladin have used quite frequently after the lucky drop and the third I personally have not replaced until T5 in TBC.
@Alistair Bolden Still bis for spellpower ret palas which I tryed on privateservers after vanilla and do more dps than 2hander.
One of the best Classic content creators on YT
Wolfshead helm for kitty droods
interesting to see that about the sword of 1000 truths... thought that was just something interesting from southpark
Yes, those are OP!
I used the scarab trinket up to SSC in BC
Badge of the Swarmguard should be on this list as well. 1200 armor penetration, and doesn't share a trinket cool down. Literally is on its own separate cool down. Im currently playing a Fury warrior on pserver and using kiss and badge is absolutely nuts. I'm talking absolutely huge numbers here.
@4:30 That's clearly a Hunter trinket :)
Might of Menethil Hooooo man, I remember when Ryanosky in got it, there was a thread on the forums full of people saying "Grats on your MOM Ryanlolsky"
So perfect.
Manual Crowd Pummeler a level 29 mace from Gnomer is stronger than the Druid legendary Atiesh Staff from Naxx. Insanely OP.
Does phase 1 have weapon speed normalization?
You missed those white weapons we get at the start of the game. I’m feeling pretty attacked right now!
well one of the best trinkets is in BRD. the hand of justice. that shit will last you for quite a while. and the warrior diamond flask from the sunken temple questline is also an item worth a mention. 150 AP for ONE MINUTE. if a fight goes on for a minute or two like the flamegor or ebonroc fights in BWL that thing can outshine earthstrike
the volatile robe is better than the robe of the archmage?
Lol love the South Park pun
You missed the warlock bwl trinket that turned minions into mini raid bosses.
hey punkrat.. kiss of the spider is good for ranged like hunters as well... just a heads up. ann that mish'undare caster helm is only good if you don't have the full set of netherwind.. otherwise the netherwind helm is your BIS so you get your full set bonus.
Shout out to Wee Bey from The Wire in your thumbnail.
I was scrolling through the comments to see if anyone else knows who he is.
When you were talking about how slow the swords are its not really the speed of the weapon as much as it is the top end dmg of the weapon. So even though the r14 sword is slower the ripper has higher top end dmg and is better.
Slow main hand weapons crit harder, that's why sword/mace rogues or dual wielding Warriors use a slow main hand and a fast offhand.
i love titanic leggings and lionheart!
just realised you're from/ you represent montreal.
Shout outs
