Another reason tanks want Thunderfury is that the 2nd half of the proc is a debuff which applies 20% attack speed reduction to what you are tanking. And it stacks with Thunderclap's attack speed debuff. This means not only is it the best threat generation weapon, it is also the best damage mitigation weapon. It also gives prot Paladins access to an attack speed debuff.

I may have just missed it, but I didn’t notice any mention of the Chromatically Tempered Sword (from Chromaggus in BWL). CTS is amazing as a MH for rogues and dps warriors and is surpassed only just barely by the Ancient Qiraji Ripper in AQ40 (although no guild is going to give that to you if you already have CTS, as the difference between the two swords is quite minimal). Honestly, though, Naxx gear is in a class by itself. So many drops in Naxx are crazy good that virtually everything in Naxx can be classified as OP.

You should make a video for mages that clarifies/discusses a couple things for Stats: spell hit vs hit rating , crit caps , stat priorities , hit cap rates, best gear sets going into MC/oynx. Etc I’d definitely love to hear what’d you have to say on the topic.

shout out to the blue zg bloodvine boe chest (even if you don't have tailoring for the set bonus) is pretty good esp for shadow priest and only best until oracle chest or maexxna chest.
i keep hearing you say mages and paladins im a warlock and i got all those pieces you said on elysium when they were bis before both classes and always pulled top 8 dps and was always with or above the mages. People underistmate locks way to much
In my experience, most Warlocks just didn't know how to use it's full potential and thus couldn't compete with other classes. So I could see a big difference between a good Warlock and a regular Warlock. Same goes for Shadow Priests.
Any items that survived the spellpower nerf became stupidly OP with AQ40 gear. My vanilla guild set my pally up as an AoE tank to speed run level 60 5 mans. 5/5 avengers, TF and skullflame shield was utterly broken. I didn’t even need mitigation because the mages could burn so hard nothing had time to hit me. I was definitely a special case. Our server was dead and our MT could only play a couple hours a week so we had to improvise. Offering pre raid bis to anyone willing to join our guild is the only thing that kept us alive.
It would be nice to have a video like "best quest reward item". I know there is atonement trinket, un'goro eye ball trinket, etc. I'm sure there is many item that people can get from regular quest that are amazing.
Couple the ZG trinket and the AV or MC spell buff trinket with the trinket stacking ability those were the two trinkets that changed how wow dealt with GCD's so I put those combos as the most OP trinkets since they changed so much and how we play to this day.
Badge of the Swarmguard should be on this list as well. 1200 armor penetration, and doesn't share a trinket cool down. Literally is on its own separate cool down. Im currently playing a Fury warrior on pserver and using kiss and badge is absolutely nuts. I'm talking absolutely huge numbers here.
lionheart helm and titanic leggings will both not be available until like phase 4-5, blizz confirmed that items or recipes that were added later in vanilla won't be in at phase 1 even tho the base patch is 1.12
Might of Menethil Hooooo man, I remember when Ryanosky in got it, there was a thread on the forums full of people saying "Grats on your MOM Ryanlolsky" So perfect.
Isn't robe of the archmage technically better than robe of volatile power until some of the later phases because the spellpower gives more DPS than the crit does in phase 1 along with more int?
Would have loved to see Ironfoe, Hand of Edward the odd and Darkmooncard:Blue Dragon on this list. First one can last up until naxx, the second I as a paladin have used quite frequently after the lucky drop and the third I personally have not replaced until T5 in TBC.
Wouldn't other players have a fit if I tried to roll on that cloth helm (Mish-undare) for my paladin, though? Or is it a fairly common practice? (Back when I played Vanilla, you'd get screamed at for rolling on cloth if you had plate)
@@Mytelefe Pretty sure it was impactful enough to make the list still, no? Arms warriors must've had a nice time with it? Sure, not the slowest of 2h-ers but still packs a punch with a trigger effect and pretty fair stats
Ok, so what can we add to this list... Since you added the servo arm, we could add the also stupid easy to get tanking/oh weapon of harbinger of doom. We did naxx trash farms for these items, along with ghoulskin, and then the rest after all the mages had their ring, we would just DE for extra nexus crystals, divide those out to the people helping us, and then take the scraps for the guild bank, you know, for increased progression speed. So yeah, the harbinger is super easy to get, and it knocks the socks off any tanking weapon outside of naxx(the pugio and deathsting would be close comparisons ofc), outside obviously thunderfury. By far the easiest to get super TPS weapon. Worth talking about. other than that, you pretty much covered it. We could talk about stuff like the crowd pummeler, while only being usable by one class, it beats atiesh in TPS by about 100%, and we could talk about rockfury bracers, which you can get before you enter AQ40, while it's considered BiS for warlocks the entire game, and mages can only drop it for a drop off gothik, if they have crazy hit items like the tear. We could talk about the diamond flask, while being easy enough to get(class quest in sunken temple, make sure you pick it up on any warrior), it's about the only active trinket that doesnt share a cooldown with other active trinkets, so you can have a grand old time in execute phase if you get this one and another active trinket like earthstrike or kiss of the spider. There are countless must have items in vanilla. Your list is by far the best one(and the longest lol) of the ones i've seen, but if we start talking about wow, we never end. Thanks again for good content like allways ;)

9:24 if only. it took my server 3 months to get the LionHeart Helm pattern to drop. Horde finally got one about 2 weeks ago. i still cant afford the damn thing. the guy is charging 300g to craft plus i have to get the mats.
I don't think that MSA is the Vanilla version i'm guessing the item numbers from the naxx reboot weaps are the same, when naxx dropped we farmed 2 for every fury warrior and even a couple of our tanks because they proc'd an extra attack and then a second attack all diminishing from the original attacks that triggered them but they all could proc the extra attack, we had a fury warriors going into AQ40 farms half tracking every other class including firemages to the point they would basically sit around till 80% to start dps maybe less if they didn't have the threat drop trinket so that they would not pull threat and die halfway through the fight. there was also some flavor text about the springs or something explaining the extra attacks.

@@Ayayron_e3 a certain youtuber i have watched pronounced it Maxxena. so yeah...
@@LikeVenom18 sounds like hamsterwheel
Not just melee hit there dude it also counts for ranged attacks
Robe of Volatile isnt even bis phase 1 for mages though?
OMG I can't believe you didn't mention
I’m missing my: “you know the drill soldiers!”
One of the best Classic content creators on YT
The sword of a thousand truths 😂😂😂
the sword of a thousand truth is still the best
You never Mention that some of those Trinkets or necks are also best for hunter.
Great video. Nice edit
Kiss of the spider is BIS for fury war before rogue, since if affect the "energy system" of only 1 class.
You should make a video for mages that clarifies/discusses a couple things for Stats: spell hit vs hit rating , crit caps , stat priorities , hit cap rates, best gear sets going into MC/oynx. Etc I’d definitely love to hear what’d you have to say on the topic.
GM swords of thou'senths truths. To get them all one must do .... Is quit ones job, grind out n put in that work, until you die.... Then you, may have a chance, to get these weapons. Great vid PunkRat. Ty
Arcanite Reaper, 2 handed axe, was a big upgrade for me in classic
It was easily the best pre raid weapon for most people, and probably as good or better than a lot of the molten core weapons!
Another great video punkrat
Love this, man. Thank you, and peace my brother!
Hey mate you forgot quickstrike ring from MC for Warriors. Last forever.
its rly good, but you got alot of other rings that aint that far off :P
thanks dude. always a good time!
shout out to the blue zg bloodvine boe chest (even if you don't have tailoring for the set bonus) is pretty good esp for shadow priest and only best until oracle chest or maexxna chest.
and devilsaur
I wonder why the blue item "Hand of Justice" is not on that list
No mention of Ironfoe either, which was easily BIS for fury warrior until AQish. Extra attack procs were pretty op in general in vanilla.
@@Silamon2 There was a Sword from a quest i think alliance only which granted an extra attack too cant remember the name (Desolace)
@@izutheone Thrashblade I think
i keep hearing you say mages and paladins im a warlock and i got all those pieces you said on elysium when they were bis before both classes and always pulled top 8 dps and was always with or above the mages. People underistmate locks way to much
In my experience, most Warlocks just didn't know how to use it's full potential and thus couldn't compete with other classes. So I could see a big difference between a good Warlock and a regular Warlock. Same goes for Shadow Priests.
Bre & dark edge of insanity
A Person sunken temple has trinket quests
Couple the ZG trinket and the AV or MC spell buff trinket with the trinket stacking ability those were the two trinkets that changed how wow dealt with GCD's so I put those combos as the most OP trinkets since they changed so much and how we play to this day.
Badge of the Swarmguard should be on this list as well. 1200 armor penetration, and doesn't share a trinket cool down. Literally is on its own separate cool down. Im currently playing a Fury warrior on pserver and using kiss and badge is absolutely nuts. I'm talking absolutely huge numbers here.
Hi Punk, can you do an absolute classic BiS list for each class or at least armor type?)
It would be more interesting if it were based on what raid tier. Other wise its basically just going to be T3/naxx gear.
@@axiss7437 yes, all bis lists should be bis for each phase.
Skull of Imp Doom. Alternate BiS green legendary for all classes. That OP.
Why not include the dropp %?
Because we dont know them? Private Servers can be wrong
roflmaoen1 for you it’s 0%
lionheart helm and titanic leggings will both not be available until like phase 4-5, blizz confirmed that items or recipes that were added later in vanilla won't be in at phase 1 even tho the base patch is 1.12
"Yo guys, pockaranevidyoo"
Might of Menethil Hooooo man, I remember when Ryanosky in got it, there was a thread on the forums full of people saying "Grats on your MOM Ryanlolsky"
So perfect.
Wolfshead helm for kitty droods
Isn't robe of the archmage technically better than robe of volatile power until some of the later phases because the spellpower gives more DPS than the crit does in phase 1 along with more int?
Would have loved to see Ironfoe, Hand of Edward the odd and Darkmooncard:Blue Dragon on this list. First one can last up until naxx, the second I as a paladin have used quite frequently after the lucky drop and the third I personally have not replaced until T5 in TBC.
@Alistair Bolden Still bis for spellpower ret palas which I tryed on privateservers after vanilla and do more dps than 2hander.
kiss of the spider is BIS for hunters until Black temple/Zul'Aman (whichever is released first)
Punkrat got all the puns... Punrat
Im going on my first raid ever on my guild. this video is nice
Great video!
Dude, can rogues crit as hard as fury, and do comparable dps?
Keep the good work
yea rogues are great
Lei of lillies yo!
Wouldn't other players have a fit if I tried to roll on that cloth helm (Mish-undare) for my paladin, though? Or is it a fairly common practice? (Back when I played Vanilla, you'd get screamed at for rolling on cloth if you had plate)
not as a holy paladain. most healing paladins wore cloth until deeeep into T3. look at old MC fights- all the pallys wearing clothskirts XD
@@tiyangina3571 Good to know. Thanks!
I fail to see why you included all Legendaries but Sulfuras?
Because Thunderfury and Atiesh are actually bis weapons for mainstream builds and Sulfuras is not ?
@@Mytelefe Pretty sure it was impactful enough to make the list still, no? Arms warriors must've had a nice time with it? Sure, not the slowest of 2h-ers but still packs a punch with a trigger effect and pretty fair stats
I saved all my raid points for the whole BWL and got the mishundare :)
Hand of Justice for pallys!
prestors talisman for furys BiS?
i see 30 agi as raw stat might be cool as it stacks with zg and kings buff, in the end its just 1,5% crit and 1% hit for warriors, rather get eye of hakkar or barbed chocker
9:24 if only. it took my server 3 months to get the LionHeart Helm pattern to drop. Horde finally got one about 2 weeks ago. i still cant afford the damn thing. the guy is charging 300g to craft plus i have to get the mats.
Loved the video, but I guess you forgot there are hunters in the game.
the volatile robe is better than the robe of the archmage?
You missed the warlock bwl trinket that turned minions into mini raid bosses.
I don't think that MSA is the Vanilla version i'm guessing the item numbers from the naxx reboot weaps are the same, when naxx dropped we farmed 2 for every fury warrior and even a couple of our tanks because they proc'd an extra attack and then a second attack all diminishing from the original attacks that triggered them but they all could proc the extra attack, we had a fury warriors going into AQ40 farms half tracking every other class including firemages to the point they would basically sit around till 80% to start dps maybe less if they didn't have the threat drop trinket so that they would not pull threat and die halfway through the fight. there was also some flavor text about the springs or something explaining the extra attacks.
lol, i was about to QQ about the titanic leggings.. b4 u put it in there. Good heads up!
and i always thought they messed up with Atiesh, you should be able to go into crow form and fly if you had it.
