I had the Macaw drop once while leveling had to roll and lost by 1 the guy sold it for 40k on the server I was playing
Years and years back I was hanging out with a friend as she leveled fishing in the barrens as alliance. She got the one ring and gave it to me. Then in tbc I remember the 2 ring was a thing with 22 to all stats. Good stuff.
3:40 it's also cool on the horde for Tauren's since they can't ride Deathchargers usually either.
Yup. Can't even get raptor or charger pvp mounts. Death charger and zg raptor are a big deal.
The Deathcharger dropped by Baron Rivendare is usable by Tauren. Under normal circumstances they cannot ride Deathchargers or Raptors, and are limited to Kodos and Wolves. This means that it is not "kinda useless" to all horde players, and neither is the raptor that will be dropped in Zul'Farrak. Tauren get the short end of the stick when it comes to mounts, making these rare mounts extra valuable to them.

Fun fact. The oozeling was used early on to push more detrimental debuffs off your characters debuff table and had the ability to cheese certain boss mechanics because of this.
God thank FUCK somebody mentioned this. Was about to type it myself. I was sad he didn't mention the former bug/exploit with the oozeling. It was also super redonk in PVP as you could make it so no debuffs would "stick" to you because you filled your debuff slots

With the oozeling you also have to take into account that the oozes don't always drop a bag which increases rarity even more

Can confirm Teebu's drops in raids, we got one for our Rogue in MC, from Golemagg.

I farmed Diablo 2, 1 in 200k is normal to farm. But in Wow it takes much more time.
The debuff from the oozling is the reason why it was so sought after. It prevented you from getting other boss-related debuffs

I farmed Hyacinth Macaw for a very long time during WotLK. On the Cata pre-patch launch, I had racked up over 20k kills on pirates. Within a week of the pre-patch landing, my friend had it drop from a random enemy in STV. He was lovely and donated it to me probably to stop me from throwing my laptop off a building.
Imagine how many useful thing you could have done with your life,instead you farmed for some pixels and lost your time
I had the Disgusting Oozeling back in the vanilla wow. You could throw pints of beer at it which the boozeling would drink. Also after few patches Blizzard too the oozeling aura off but added bubbling sound effect which would drive people on the raid crazy. Total silence then suddenly... bubbling.

I fished up The 1 Ring and Crafty in Wrath. My sister was so pissed at me because she had been trying to get both of them since Vanilla, and I come along and casually fish in Orgrimmar and catch them without even knowing they were in the game.
The only time I ever saw a Teebu's drop was in 2006 during the opening of Ahn Karaj off the outdoor raid bosses that were part of the event. And I ran alot of dungeons to help people and their alts get attuned for stuff like Onyxia, BWL, MC, and farmed the dungeons for rare flask and tailoring patterns like Robes of Faith and flask of supreme power

the parrot will never be really valuable because it's 99% the same as a 40 silver parrot, only different color. there are just not enough players who care for that.

I had been playing WoW for a while. I remember I started dating my now Wife during the days of AQ40. She had never played a game like WoW before. I got her into it and while leveling in STV she got a Hyacinth drop. It stood out to her because it was her first pet. We were not living together at the time so she was playing and had it drop. She pulled it out - ran around for a little bit and then sold it to a vendor. Later that night she told me (as if I didn't know there were pets like this in the game) that she was doing a quest and kill pirates in "Booty Bay" and had a bird drop. My eyes got huge instantly... She paused in her story, looked at me puzzled. "Can I buy it back after I sold it?" she asked. I died.
100% a true story. I'll never forget this moment. LOL She is lucky she's great or I don't think we would have made it past this moment.

Had the macaw on my undead warrior after grinding goblin rep, after becoming exalted with blood sail buccaneers, and I didnt realise the 1 ring was rare. Had many of the 1 rings drop, always thought it was trash tbh so I'd vendor them😖. Now the death reigns I farmed even in WOTLK. Never even got it then. I'd farm on my dk for hours a day, so frustrating lol
It’s really easy to fish the one ring in Orgrimmar.
Months and months of grinding pre- WOTLK and I was able to get rivendares deathcharger and my ZG raptor. I also have the rare slow turtle mount I got that during BC. I also saw the zulian tiger drop but I lost the roll on it lol.
Got the Oozeling in my first bag from the first slime kill while leveling. Sold it for 400g and got the mats for my Epic lock mount!

Man, I got mine after like 25 bags and can't sell it for 120g
Just a headsup to get the mount off baron you have to complete the instance within 45mins for the mount to be on the loot table
Had the epic parrot drop during BC off a random ass tiger by the entrance to Stranglethorn, near the Ally camp by the duskwood entrance, on some alt too.
A clinic on how to raise the value of your pet drop: make a video about it to drive up demand lol

I used to farm oozelings back in the day, would usually take 2-4hrs each but boy did I get rich on them! :)
I found the oozeling by accident back in the day. It has a 3% chance to drop from the bags, but the bags themselves have a relatively low drop chance too, therefore making the drop rate more like

Teebus also can come from Heavy Junkboxes that rogues can pickpocket off of lvl 50+ mobs.
Considering I farmed Stratholm a month to get Rivendares mount back when it was .0001 or whatever I feel so proud.
I got a hyacinth parrot today after logging on for 15 mins before work lol. Logged in booty bay last night went down to start a quest on wild shore and got it and polished jezerite armor within 10 m9b kills.

I got the macaw in the first 5 mins of being in that area lol. Decided to keep it.
I had that Oozeling back in time and never saw anyone else with it.
Real talk, the rarest item is the mage who doesn't ignore you when you ask them nicely if you can buy some food and water off em.

Omg i had that 1 ring back in vanilla - i kept it because i thought it was neat. Didnt realize the drop rate
Probably my best drop was the star belt tailoring pattern, it creates a unique t-mog belt and wowhead lists a grand total of SIX drops ever and I have never seen anyone else with the pattern. You can see it on my toon Zodlike Uldaman. I've gotten several oozelings [cave in winterspring (Mazthoril) is a good place as there is also a chance for the whelpling and rare t-mog items, (kill the Dimentional Ooze)] and I've also found the the macaw, but I would say the black tabby for ally is harder to get, you used to be able to kill thousands of hill stags as they ran in a large group (Hillsbrad Foothills) and would instantly respawn to get the cat easily but that exploit was fixed during Cata.
Only saw Baron's mount drop once back in vanilla. Didn't get it but i had UC at exulted so i had an undead horse for my troll anyway. Still would have been nice. Do have the Macaw on Classic and had it in vanilla though

The oozeling is 3% drop rate in the bags, which means you gotta multiply the chances if you wanna see the odds of dropping it per mob
Questing in Felwood last week I must of had some insane luck because within a 30 minute span I got the disgusting oozling and the Edgemaster Handguards. I'm on Kromcrush horde side and yes they are for sale if someone wants them 😁

The Hyacinth Macaw dropped for me back in the day. I sold it to some pet collector for a fat stack of gold. 10/10 would do again.

The moment you realize the 1 Ring was rare. I pulled it out of the lake in Silverpine (I think), chuckled, equipped it for a bit then vendored it.
Guys what is the right way to ask for deadmines and diremaul .. is it DM for deadmines and DiM for diremaul ? Or VC for Vancleef and DM for diremaul ?
I had the oozling drop in vanilla. Dropped in Felwood, my noob ass put it on the AH for way too little. I haunts me to this day, lol
So check it out. I was grabbing a Songflower buff the other day in Felwood, right before an Onyxia run. This ooze aggroes me right as I finish nabbing the buff, so of course I Mortal Strike it into oblivion.
Ooze drops a ooze-covered bag, which in turn drops a Disgusting Oozling. Just unbelievable.
Never would've attacked the thing had it not aggroed. I even had a Summon ticking on me to bring me to Dustwallow.

I saw teebus blazing longsword drop in my first MC run in classic. It dropped on like the 2nd trash of something. Man I wish I'd won it.
Damn I looted the 1 ring during the first week of classic. I though it was pretty commo. I disenchanted it. I'm trying to fish it again for two mounths...
I tried to farm the disgusting oozing. Finally got tired of it and bought one off the AH. It’s my Rogue’s main pet, primarily for the shadowy effect it gives your character.
My greatest achievement in classic wow is getting sulthraze in 5 runs

in shazz every other 60 had rivendale mount back when u could reset with instances idk if they got removed
everything that everyone got from instance layering is reset, they were also banned for 30 days.

2 things I'd edit in this... first Gnomes are halfling not dwarfs lol. Second, the disgusting ooze is super valuable for AQ 40 C'thun depending on the patch they put in for it. You can use its debuff to override C'thuns stomach acid.
I got the Rivendare Deathcharger and his epic sword on my retail account...got both way back in Vanilla wow..I loved that dungeon and pure luck on the mount .

I remember getting the oozling bag while I was just killing slimes, it was my first time seeing the bag so I thought that was cool and then I got the oozling right off the bat so I didn't think it was that rare just figured I found a cool common pet others had too. Only reason I thought this was cause I was new to WoW so didn't know anything about rare stuff like that. My friend who was showing me around was rather surprised I got the stupid oozling in my first bag.

I've been trying to sell a Hyancinth Macaw on Whitemane for weeks. No one will even make an offer on it.
Formula: Enchant Chest Greater Stats has yet to appear in AH on my server on either faction. RIP. The parrot is on our AH for ~75g pretty regularly.
10:30 3% chance to drop is definitely off. That may be the current drop rate from the bags themselves but since the bags are fairly uncommon the drop rate ends up being more like 0.01%-0.1%

I was in the guild TL on northdale. Teebus dropped for us from trash in onyxias lair on a alt raid and the GM traded it to a chinese player for 600 black lotus and some gold, i forget exactly how much. This was right before AQ opened
I had the oozling pet, dropped it while questing. I ended up throwing it away in BC because it took space away from my bag.
I got Deathcharger on my lvl 70 human rogue with Warglaives. I was farming enchanting mats and it dropped on like my 50th run. Id afk in IF and tons of noobs standing around me.

To this day you can still get the deathchargers rein mount on retail but to get it in classic would be legendary.
Oozeling debuff used to be used to exploit the debuff limit for certain boss fights
so what about the DM farms?
The Baron mount is great to see on horde if it went to a Tauren. Only skeleton horde they can ride.

Hey punkrat or any other classic player, Im new to classic and I have a question. Is there a way to not get scammed when letting strangers craft gear for you? A guy was crafting lionheart helm’s but you get him the matts. Should I just blindly trust him or is there a safer method?

heh Baron mount. Farmed it in wotlk pre patch. ofc it was buffed to 1 to 100 drop rate I think, but It was soloable as paladin easily and soloing it racked good amount of gold each run.
I have Rivendares horse, I’ve only seen it drop once in 15 years and I’m pretty sure I ran that strat over 600 times across all my toons over the years. With all that said, good luck farmers!

I just got Deadman's hand on my 31 disc priest :P Had to google and youtube it since it's not in atlas loot, and it wasnt even BoE, so no world drop.
