You have a huge benefit knowing how to fix minor body damage and paint. That’s very important to get top dollar like you did. Great job!! Thanks for taking us along.
When I saw you get in from the other side to test the horn and buttons I was like, "smart man." I'd have done the same thing. Better safe than sorry. Great video, great breakdown, you kept it moving and didn't work in any nonsense. Loved it!
That might be one of the coolest videos ive had the pleasure of watching. You are truly talented and your patience is definitely something i can learn from!
Lol, I just won a 2015 VW Passat from ACV last Friday with the codes P0301 P0302 and P0300. I'm picking it up this Wednesday. I pray that it's just a tune up and nothing else. Good job on the car.
Keep up the good work, and keep up with the struggle, jay. I'm sure you're going to have a huge youtube family one day, and I'm happy to be one of the early subscribers
Great job. Just a little tip. A 2016 VW Passat steering column is around $80 in the junk yard. You could have pulled the clock spring and sold the rest of the column and airbag. Love the flip though. Thinking outside the box will make you a little more money
Great job on that Jetta Jay you really made that clock spring easy I've done a couple of them and it took a while because you have to be so delicate with the clock spring it's not one of those things that you can just get in there switch it out and get it done you have to really take your time with them
The house music is definitely a vibe I get the theme, Caudley simon my dad wants to know the demographics and causing working it was the way you’re going about it is solid specially when it comes business & taxes . gonna be a great series yes Market for what you’re doing you’re directions vs houses
Great job had to let my wife watch your video so she gets an understanding why do light body work and paint an a little maintenance full detail on cars I flip you want the best profit from the vehicle if it looks good to us a buyer definitely will feel the same 👍
Solid work man! Killer flip. two questions 1) Where did you get the car? FB? Auction? Somewhere else? 2) Did it actually take 4 days? with all the diagnosing and running around and getting parts it must have been a little longer on it, even if you only really worked on it for 4 of the days.
3:59 I personally would’ve just switched around the good coil to those bad ones misfiring just to rule out if it was the coil alone but go ahead and replace all 4
Where do you buy all these cars and SUV's from? Do you have a dealer license and buy from auctions or do you just buy from people selling online in your area? Isn't there an important step when you change a clock spring? Like marking the old one first and resetting the new one before you put it on? Or does that not matter? I do not know
that good video! I have a question, after I have the paint code. Where exactly should I go to buy it? Are there places dedicated to selling you the specific color? how do you find them?
So how do people deal with the title swap? Owner just signs it?both? Or next buyer signs it after first party did? I always wonder how this process works when I watch these types of flipping vids.
Thanks for watching. I’m a dealer so I really don’t have to touch the title. It’s all separate paperwork on my end. But a lot of car flippers do open titles where they don’t have the person they bought the car from sign the title but that illegal but people do it. Another way is you put the title in your name then sell it good luck
Hey bro love the vid just subbed. Im from Oregon and started flipping cars as a side hustle. Where do you usually get your cars from? I usually have to rely on private sellers like Facebook Marketplace.
I understand you thought you didnt have enough leverage, but if you hit those bolts with heat first you might have been able to get them off yourself. Also did you use your dealers licence to buy the car?
First off I love your channel, I'd like to start doing the same thing, but I'm not sure that I understand. If you don't have a regular dealership, no lot open to the public, but you have a dealer license, you can only sell to other dealers or at the auction, but you are retailing these cars to the public. And as you said in your answer to my question you can only retail five cars a year, so what are you doing? How are you able to sell cars to the general public? Because there are only two types of licenses a dealer license for a dealer that's open to the public or a wholesale license. I just wanted to know how you are doing it?
How do you go around the wait time for the new title? I buy used car, I have to sign the title, then go to the dmv and turn in the title I signed in order to apply for a new title in my name so that I can sell it. It takes almost a month+ to get the new title in my name back from the dmv. How do you get around the wait time for the new title in order to flip it in 4 days?
I want to flip cars but have barely little mechanical skills and knowledge so if something is wrong I won’t know how to fix or diagnose the issue just looking from the obd scanner
Bro, Great Content, but your videos have the wrong background music and the camera perspective are not good. I recommend that you use at least to cameras, a professional mic and much better video editing software.
Joe not sure if you asking me or telling me but all rotors get sprayed down with break cleaner and bolts are thread locked and torqued. I can’t put every detail on video there is so much going on. I’m glad thats all you got out of the video. 🤙 thanks for watching ether way.
@@flippingcarsforfun Sweet, glad you did it the right way. I would at least show the airbag bolt getting torqued down. That's the one that I was like, "There's no way this guy is serious"
You have a huge benefit knowing how to fix minor body damage and paint. That’s very important to get top dollar like you did. Great job!! Thanks for taking us along.

Nice!! Should be an easy fix! Good luck with it. If it’s not the coil packs or plugs try the camshaft adjuster magnet sometimes it’s that.
@@flippingcarsforfun Thanks, will do.
Final solution too can be the timing chain if those options are not working
Injectors your F’D
Well fellows I found out that the tune up didn't work and the motor is bad. # 2 cylinder had very low compression. Boy I took an L on this car.
Keep up the good work, and keep up with the struggle, jay. I'm sure you're going to have a huge youtube family one day, and I'm happy to be one of the early subscribers

Thanks Jason. To me the hardest part was the air bag. Was a little tuff finding the springs to pop off with the screw driver. Thanks for watching!

I made 10k profit on a Mercedes once. Love this channel
Super dope! Thanks for watching
question can i buy a car from auction and flip the car without registering still have temp plates
It all depends on the state I think you have to get the title in your name. Thanks for watching
Vw has a recall for those clock springs for your repair at any VW dealership which is totally free
Nice wish I knew that lol thanks for watching
Good job on this one 👏

I just learned from RUclips and a lot of practice thanks for watching
that good video! I have a question, after I have the paint code. Where exactly should I go to buy it? Are there places dedicated to selling you the specific color? how do you find them?
Thanks man. You can just go to any car paint supply store give them the code and they will mix it up for you spot on match.
So how do people deal with the title swap? Owner just signs it?both? Or next buyer signs it after first party did? I always wonder how this process works when I watch these types of flipping vids.

I understand you thought you didnt have enough leverage, but if you hit those bolts with heat first you might have been able to get them off yourself. Also did you use your dealers licence to buy the car?
Yes I used my dealer license thanks for watching
When you're flipping these cars, how do you get over state limits on how many cars that you can buy or sell in a year, without a dealer license?
I’m a dealer. But most states allow 5 per year

What's the background song playing now ?
No 100 percent sure man lol. Thanks for watching
Where I live you need a dealers license to sell more then one or two cars a year.. do you have a trick around that?
I have a dealer license. Thanks for watching! Good luck

Hey brotha! Former VW tech here. Those misfire codes could possibly be a carbon build up..i hope u resolved the issue..👍

You need to start using blue thread lock instead of red.
Thanjs for watching The bottle is red the lock tight is blue
It was the rotor making that noise piston was pushed Further out
For sure!
The clock spring was a manufacturer defect so they would of changed it for free
Definitely. Thanks for watching
Bondo is not good it’s better fiberglass because that’s gonna crack
