I never tire of seeing out of the ordinary devices taken apart. There’s always something interesting inside.

It is almost therapeutic just tinkering in the shop taking something apart. Finding Greebles is just an added perk

I was kinda suprised to see how hollow the bottom compartment was but that kinda makes sense! Glad to see there was some cool stuff inside even if it’s just the buttons 😂

Yea, a lot of 1970’s and newer stuff is built that way. But don’t dismiss this beauty just yet. It has inspired me for not just one build, but two. Super excited on this find…more to come. Thx so much for this 💎

I know this is the wrong time of the year for most, but getting a hold of a small commercial room heater has a nice look to it with the metal housing and grilled exterior. Also I found that the packaging for some computer cases ( the foam packing) has some nice cutouts and is light enough to alter. I hope you never run out of greeble idea.

Those all sound like awesome finds. Foam packing is always a score. I haven’t seen a commercial heater, but I have taken apart a commercial building boiler. Way cool
As for this one, ai already have ideas for a fun build…but may have to postpone that so I can finish the video editing on my current build I just finished.
And as for Greebles… will always be in the lookout. However I want to present content that is ground I haven’t traveled already. So finding newer free things to take apart is more challenging at this point. But for now, my garage is full of a few more baubles to take apart and I will share soon

@@garlandsworkshop Yeah the foam packing that came along with my NZXT tower is interesting for sure. It's not high density like the pink foam stuff but has knock out areas where the case had access to the ports on the mother board and the front. Maybe if you know someone in a computer business they might have something like that around. One day I will have enough time to actually put something together, lol. Keep posting.

I have come across a lot of tv and stereo foam. Even though I purchased a sheet of XPS foam years ago….i keep using the EPS foam. Using grout, plater of Paris or even just by itself with only latex paint. I have a shed full of it. As of late…I just like using them to make galaxies edge type rock surrounds for panels I make. There really is no bounds to its use…only limits to imagination I guess
