Are you going to do a video on first layer colour change in creality print 5, I think that would be a good topic, I am using orca slicer for that feature, but would love to try it in creality print?
after setting my nozzle to hardened steel for the 3v3 and saving renaming it i tried to do the same for my k1c but when saved it reverts back to nozzle not unknown

No Ender 3 V3 Se option yet. I tried the KE option but some of the temps are off. Like the bed to is set to 50c.
They are probably all set to 50. Pop it up to 60
Very interesting video, I hope you will make more about using version 5.0. I can't find the Enable Gcode Offset (Z) button in the new slicer V5.0. The Gcode Offset (Z) is fixed at -0.05mm in the Experimental tab in version 4.0. Can you help me?

Thank you for this tutorial. But the funny thing is that I can't find bed adhesion like skirt, brim, lace and raft. I also cannot find the infill patterns as in version 4.3.38
I'll try to cover more on Creality Print, in the Coming days. These videos take allot longer than it may seam, to make. I'll do my best to do more tutorials. Consider being a member. :)

I have a 10 S. I'll have to check it out, but, I'd look to set it up like a CR10-V2, with the ABL line in the GCODE.
My Creality printers, an Ender 3 S1 and a CR M-4, are not listed in the Creality printers. How do we set up for them, or is it premature to use this for them?
They only have there Klipper profiles ready. But, those will come after more testing. I am going to make some profiles, as I can. Probably CR-10 SE next. I do think they need to prioritize this. Hopefully they are
@@3DRundown I've been checking out your videos on adding new printers, and it keeps referring to Creality Print version 5.0.3. Following the Github route, I was able to download and install the latest. But I still do not find all of those printers.
I got a strange issue, I try to follow what the video says, at about 14:26 dragging the dog stl file, it sort of work, but I only see a silhouette of the footprint of the dog, the green 3D figure is not there, when slicing there is shown some drawings sort of incomprehensible doodles.
That's super odd. Link me to a pic/video of it? Are you on V 5.1? Try importing, instead of drag
@@3DRundown I was digging into it a bit deeper, it turns out that my build in graphic card, with the current drivers, do not support OpenGL that well, so the 3D figure is drawn by OpenGL and the rest is drawn in an other way.
Creality Print 4,38 do give a warning about this in some way during startup, Creality Print 5.1 do not.
Just installed creality print v5 for my new printer but its not setting the print temps or cleaning the nozzle before printing.

Overture ASA would not stick to my K1C's smooth PEI (with glue). It sticks well on the textured PEI build plate I bought on AliExpress for $9 (which also has a carbon fiber patterned PET surface on the flip side). Neither side has the slicone brush of the original K1c plate, but the K1c adjusts gracefully to that, automatically checking and verifying the brush is not there, then carefully wiping the nozzle directly on that area of the build plate.
Smooth PEI has epic adhesion. Far better than textured. Keep in mind, the glue isn't for adhesion. It's for bed protection. I feel like maybe you overdo the glue. Speaking of glue, the Bambu Liquid glue is amazing on glass and smooth pei
I've had very little problems with abs or asa sticking to the creality smooth plate the K1 came with. I also got their textured plate and it works well too. I have also used Overture's nylon on the smooth plate to print some funnels, zero problems, I was actually shocked.
K1 Smooth plate is amazing. This is what made me try one on my P1P and P1S, which I almost got rid off. Best thing ever. This one: shrsl.com/4ijn5
@@3DRundown PLA and PETG stick to the K1C smoothplate (with gluestick) quite well. Less so for ASA. Maybe if I washed off the glue, ASA would stick better.
Keep in mind, glue stick, is not for adhesion. It's to protect the bed. Go *very* light when using it, or, skip it. Best bed glue is the Bambu Green Liquid. Holds amazing
Hello, I looked at the Github for ages yesterday and couldnt find the how to install it. Thanks for showing me where the download button was!!! Reading through the features in the git hub Adaptive layers are mentioned but I don't see them anywhere in the settings, any chance you can point me in the right direction? Are you going to be doing videos on new features and their applicaiton?
welcome. Github hurts my brain. I am swamped with things I'm expected to cover, for various people, ontop of my own plans, but, I'm going to try my darnedest to cover this more.
If you look at the top row of icons it’s the last icon but you need to have your model selected for it to appear.

Hey, great video :) i have creality 5.0.0 but when i look to the quality preset i have only the standard 0.2mm preset and not the others like quality. How can i have the others presets ? (edit: i have the ender 3 v3 ke)
It's right under "PROCESS". The pulldown menu.

noticed that the print speed has gone up for some of the test prints for example the benchy before on the k1 took 15 min now takes 28 min

In my Manage Filaments page it only lists the Generic filaments not any of the Creality filaments. Is there a way to see all of the filaments including the Creality ones? I am using MacOS if that changes anything.
I'm not familiar with the Mac version, but I do think it's a little different. We just got a new windows version yesterday. Maybe a Mac update also? Check Github and Creality Cloud

Because that is where the latest version usually is, and, if there is a beta, that's where it would be. But, you do you.

There was a mistake in the video. I moved it to the members feed (and may have even deleted it from there). However, my SE profile, is available to all Members and Patreons. All you'd need to do, is import it. Also, I am told the newest CP5 update, added an official SE profile

The K2 looks insane!! It's the size of a 5+. This is game changing
So obviously they dont have many of their printers available for 5.0. I was having issues with the original Creality Slicer that I had. My printer kept getting an emergency shutdown code from the firmware/slicer. I saw someone say that there was a new Slicer update, which in turn was the 5.0. I downloaded the update and everything just went crazy. I couldnt select my Ender 3 s1 Plus so it was practically a terrible thing for me to do. I have uninstalled everything and trying to figure out which program works best for my printer. I appreciate all that you do for the 3D printing community and hope RUclips and others surely help keep your lights on good sir.
1st, go to GITHUB, and download the latest CP5. I believe we are still on 5.0.3. I have profiles for the S1+ on my Patreon, and my Member feed. Hop in and grab it. Memberships start at like $3. Creality Slicer is absolute trash. Don't use that.
I was using Creality but moved to Cura. I got cura working ok so far and doing a test print. I'll keep you posted. Thanks again good sir
Ok so I am still having this problem. About 40 minutes into the print im getting Shutdown due to webhooks request. I'm thinking the printer is overheating internally. When the printer has been sitting off for quite a few hours and I first get it running and printing it works wonderfully but then this error happens. I restart immediately and continue the print which then works for about 10mins then this same error happens more and more frequently as I continue to restart the printer and continuing the print leading to the print shifting in upper layers. Any idea whats going on here?
Are you printing from Creality Cloud or a Memory Card? Have you tried with a different memory card? Are you printing from Sonic Pad? If you are on Sonic Pad, change your USB Cable, and use a 5V Blocker.

on their Github page I read "Currently, Creality Print 5.0 is compatible with the following models: K1, K1C, K1Max, Ender-3 V3, Ender-3 V3 KE, Ender-3 V3 SE and Ender-3 S1 " I have the Ender 3 S1 Pro but it isn't listed as an option under printers in 5.0. Maybe later ??
Hopefully they will expand to the older machines asap.
Ender 3 V3 SE was also not an option.

K1C and KE user here. V5 not generating supports for some odd reason.for me anyway. Deleted and reinstalled a couple of times already.

No, SE runs Marlin, KE runs Klipper
I have not been able to work with it yet, but, I would choose the KE, then switch the config, to Marlin

I tried it But the click spots are off by a quarter inch on my display making it a PITA to use Tried changing resolution frame rate nothing Guess ill wait for the version with the repaired graphics

I followed the tutorial. I only have the E3V3. I set up Creality Print for the E3V3, but when I try to print, it gives the warning it’s not for my printer.
Only the phone app works for me.

Nice video. Why can't creality make normal auto updates? or downloading from their site for now is only up to version 4.3...something, as is the same for auto updates on creality print. Just updated todays to a better version of 4.3..smthg , and it says i'm up to date. Need to check how many versions i missed :D
They finally added new top and bottom shells as orca slicer has. Very nice. Was using orca for that and sometimes better supports and now I don't need orca slicer at all.
And print time improved on a 4 hour print with default settings on 4.3 version , to 3h20m on a 5.0 version. Love these free software improvements. It's just that v3KE only has one 0.2mm profile now. Still... At least I can use the software.
They need to fix that, but, I can't remember the last time I used anything but 0.2
I got that V4 update also. I suspect they will make the full move to 5 after some community feedback.

There is no pull down for manage materials on my Creality Print V5.0 at all. What is this? I am trying to stay with you step by step. But, it's impossible if I don't have the same pull down menu.

@@3DRundown When I press About Creality Print it says Creality Print V5.1.1.9490 release. It's all messed up. It does not recognize my Ender-3 V3 SE 3D Printer. The firmware update on the SD card for the printer does not work. Then, I spent an extra $100 to buy the Nebula pad that does not communicate with the motherboard. What kind of product is this?
I can't help you if you want to insult the product. We can only discuss your issue, and how to fix it.
I believe 5.1 is current.
There is 100% an SE profile on Creality Print 5.
The firmware on the card will be out dated. You will want to download the latest version. I have a video on that. This is for MARLIN, not KLIPPER. If you have the Nebula pad, you won't be doing this.
Nebula pad is very nice. It runs Klipper. I don't have a video for the conversion, but, I really should. I will try to do that soon.

Z-OFFSET is done at the printer, not in the slicer. Never change it in the slicer (Which would be done via Klipper GCODE). DO NOT DO THAT.
Question it doesn’t show my printer I have a Ender 3S one plus I don’t see it. I want to add my printer and my other creality.
Only Klipper machines so far. Might be able to adapt my SE profile to the S1+

No, there will be differences, depending on the Extruder, but, most DD machines, have similar retractions. I have an S1+, I will see about adding it to CP5.

Great video. I don't see the point in printing from Creality Cloud personally. I just send it over LAN to the printer.
Creality Cloud will store all your file in your cloud account. You can then reprint at any time to any compatible printer. It will create a time-lapse. You can remotely control, monitor the printer and camera feed. All through the App & the Website. It's very nice once you get settled into it's work flow
5.0 does not include the [C] series printers, such as CR-10 se.

@@3DRundown Nope, I re-downloaded and re-installed version 5.0.0.8636 (latest available for download at this moment) and it does *NOT* contain the SE version.
You are running an ancient version of CP5. Many versions behind. You should be on 5.3. Get it here: github.com/CrealityOfficial/CrealityPrint/releases/download/v5.0.3/Creality_Print-v5.0.3.8736-win64-Release.exe

@@3DRundown I'm going crazy here! I just downloaded from github version 5.0.3.8736, installed it, ran it, but AGAIN the ONLY printers listed under 'Add Printer' and Ender are : 'Ender-3 V3 KE' and 'Ender-3 V3'. The SE version as I *did* see listed in the latest CP4 version is STILL NOT there. WTH?

This isn't working for me. When I select the K1C printer and go through all the settings, when I exit and reload the software it's forgotten the K1C and asks me to install Ender printer. I don't have an ender. This is garbage. Off to Orca.
This morning, all my K1 Models, are gone, and not available to add back. The only one that stayed, is the new profile, I made during this video. Looks like, some bugs need to be addressed.
@@3DRundown Yup, same happened to me also. My K1C profile vanished and cannot add it back. But all the Chinese lettering has gone, so that is one good thing I guess.
Yep. That is my exact scenario. The Chinese is gone, but, so is the K1 lineup. I am not sure what's going on, but, gonna need a solution, pronto. Fortunately, I modified my K1, for the Video, and, that profile stayed
@@3DRundown I ended up reverting to the previous version of Creality Print. It's a pain, but it works for now. Or I slice models in Cura, save as STL, then load up in Creality Print v4 and print. Cura doesn't support K1 lineup either.
All the K1 machines are now back, and updated, in CP5. Also, ORCA support K1 as well.
I've downloaded and installed all three new versions of their slicer. In each case, the program locks up right after I choose the printers. And that's the end of that. My guess is my internet provider is blocking this new slicer because it's loaded with spyware.
What 3 versions? You should be on Creality Print 5.1. I have not heard of this issue from anyone else. There is no Spyware on Creality Print.
@@3DRundown Creality has posted 3 versions of the 5.0 slicer over the last approximately six weeks.
All Version 5, but, they continue to update it. The most current is 5.1. Bambu, Orca, Cura, and all major slicers are regularly updating. My point stands, there is no spyware on Creality print, and your issue is not typical. There is a common cause, somewhere with your setup.
@@3DRundown even the newest 5.1 version posted on July 15 doesn't work. The top of the control window is almost 15mm ABOVE the graphical interface. They don't know what they're doing, and releasing super-buggy software over and over again shows they don't give a rat's behind about users.

Hmm would you also recommend setting the bedplate temp to 60 when using Hyper PLA? Just like you, Hyper PLA is my go-to PLA.
A bit annoyed that I cannot find the skirt choice under bed adhesion settings. Wonder if they removed that specific adhesion?

FYI I am not sure if this issue has arisen with others. I have it installed on a Windows 11 PC with all of it's glorious but smoewhat hindering security assets. I had a recurring issue where the software would not allow slicing of models due to a permissions issue using the working directory
"C:\Users\Your-Username\AppData\Roaming\Creality\Creative3D\5.0\GCodes"
This would result in a falure and deliver a notice on screen that the software was unable to open the file. After spending a long time with support to no avail. I figured out a workaround. Notice this is at your own discretion if you decide to go my route: navigate to the Creality directory the right click on it and go to "more options, Then go to Properties. Choose the security tab, and give "System" full access" to the directory" this will allow the file to open and function seemlessly and your slicing will no longer be hindered.
I have not seen this on any version. Something unique happening there. Are you on 5.1
@@3DRundown I am. Support didn't even offer any assistance. THey just wanted me to R&R V:5.1. And when that failed they wanted me to go back to a 4.? version. I am a Network Engineer with way too many years of experience to go that route. I knew there was a reason the application was being denied access to the working directory. I could have re-routed the working directory from the root directory to a more security lax location but at the time couldn't find where to do it in the software. I may do that now as I don't like giving software system level access to a root directory.
Just an FYI Moving the working directory form the c:\users\user\AppData\Roaming to a more user freindly directory also works.
Super. Yea, Creality mean well, but, sometime you don't get the kind of technical answer you want. Often, I end up reaching out to them, to assist with situations like this. I'm gonna have a look at this. So far I have not heard of this issue from anyone else, but having the fix, is great, and something I may go ahead and cover. Thanks for taking the time to explain. That said, DO NOT GO BACK TO 4. KILL IT WITH FIRE. lol
Mmmmm 19:15 personally I wont use Creality Cloud, instead just walk it over to the Sonic Pad ? or printer on my usb stick. Laurie. NZ. 😊

For now, it is very slow, crashed sometimes and not supporting older printers. Not good for everyone!!
Klipper machines so far. Make any profile you'd like. Not running slow here, and No crashes for me.... yet. Time will tell

I'm a bit disappointed with it so far, it's not quite as user-friendly to me.
Heck, somehow they screwed up the file naming format when you export your gcode, now it shortens the file name making your files unidentifiable on older printers.
It got worse, I just tried to print a 6.5 hour print, the timer on the printer was estimating 30 hours.
And with that goes the last bit of trust I had in 5, I have now switched back to 4.3.5.6984, even with it's occasional crashes it can at least do it's job simply and consistently. Maybe I'll try 5 again in several months after they update it a few more times. ☹

Creality Print is nothing like Cura. Closer to Orca and Bambu, which copy from each other and Prusa. "Creality Slicer", was an old Cura
I have been working with 3D printers for 6 years. This is probably the worst slicer.
