- Final Fantasy 7 Remake is one of the all-time great PS4 titles but it's going to get even better with Intergrade. As an enhanced version of the game for PS5, it includes numerous new features and a new story episode focused on Yuffie.

Okay, I usually don't care when people make mistakes like these, but saying Red 8 when Red XIII flashes across the screen AND is a huge character in the FF7 Universe is a pretty big mistake. How did no one proof read that before releasing this?

Yes, you can. you get the free upgrade on ps5 just by owning the game on ps4 and then you can just buy the dlc.

Will FF7 Remake ever be ported to PC?
having played FF7 Remake twice in 1080p on my PS4, I never felt that it was graphically lacking.. the fact that Episode Intermission will not be available for me (on the PS4) means that I will only be able to watch a playthrough of this game on Twitch.. a shame, really. I would have gladly paid for this as a DLC option on my PS4.

if you are asking about the "base game", its just a higher framerate and fixed texture bugs. it does have the dlc which is a side story not involving the playable cast directly.
I would love to play it but I don't have the ps5 yet. I think it's a tad bit early to start forcing people to upgrade. They haven't even worked all of the launch kinks out!
Just picked up Final Fantasy 7 Remake Twin pack for $70…I get part 1 now and part 2 when it’s released in February 29th 2024 (next month)
Damn that's confusing. I really thought Intergrade was the full "Part 2" of the remake, not just a PS5 upgrade with a Yuffie DLC. $70 seems steep, although I guess it makes sense if they're giving it to PS4 owners for free (very nice). Also I keep waiting to hear that they accidentally swapped the comparison footage in these trailers, because the PS4 version almost always looks better to me. Anyway, thanks for the explainer.

You can buy it on the psn website. Theres add to cart but idk if it would add on the ps4 console itself. $69. It also wont appear on the ps4 psn if you try to search it.

It really sucks to look at this exclusive content and know you probably cant even play it for a couple years. Not for the lack of saving money, but simply for the fact that the console just practically doesn’t exist outside of eBay.

there are bugs and glitches to Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, 3rd party fix's don't wish be brother with it and mods add to the game. me sound SFX i zero out setting SFX PS5 don't work to good in windows OS stutter sound a lot 3rd party could fix it.

You know what’s wild it’s $70 on PlayStation network right now, but so picked this game up used on the ps4 for $15 and had the free upgrade. If I wasn’t the dlc that would be a total of $35. Why dose Sony try rip people?

I think this DLC model is a step in the wrong direction for gaming..
I just...I miss getting whole, complete games, that functioned on launch.
This type of DLC I'm okay with. It's the games as a service DLC I don't like. It seems developers just can't get that right. But as far as Final Fantasy 7 remake. It delivered a quality game at launch with very few issues. Then several months down the line is offering a dlc. Complete without having to wait on games as a service content. Especially when it's coming with an upgrade like this. In my opinion there's a big difference from DLC and live service games. For example ghost of tsushima and days gone delivered quality DLC after the game released.
@@robk5437 from what I understand Days Gone dlc is free, and I believe Ghosts was too, so I'm not sure how that applys here. (Free DLC is great) It's been about a year since ff7 came out (a year is a long time for 'dlc' which this kind of isnt)
When Advent Children came out, my brother went and bought it, we enjoyed it. Then Advent Children complete came out, and I bought we. We watched it together. When I asked what he thought he said 'I think it made what I bought useless' and he was right.
Also, the worry is that, this game came out on ps4. This DLC is ps5 exclusive for marketing reasons, AND it's not even on the disc, its downloadable.
This isn't fan friendly, there trying to force you to pay full price for a DLC. I'm a budget gamer and cant afford this approach. If I knew this was coming (and I guarantee S-E did) I would not have bought FF7, I would have waited.
I'm a huge fan of FF7, not the biggest fan of remake, but that's not the point.
There going to make this new FF7 a drawn out experience. I'm going to be almost 40 by the time they wrap it up.

The fact that a part 2 has to be thrown into a slew of chaos by square Enix themselves is a big blow to the gaming industry. This game released full on an older gen game. Given, graphics and performance have evolved. However, they're twiddling all of this "work" and their consumer base around their thumbs and calling it $20-$50 more because they did something to the game that a lot of people//fans asked for... but a lot of people//fans didn't ask for the "expansions". If you're asking me, it's criminal what the video game industry has become. They're robbing their heart and soul, the consumer, in plain sight.

Like you said it's very different times, but there were 3 FF games on the ps1, there all at least good, if not great.
I was excited when I saw the FF7 ever crisis announcement, but we will see. I'm not a mobile gamer myself, and it's too early to tell.
Square has a history of 'shopping' the FF brand to other developers, allowing them to do decent work, then pulling the plug.
The actual build of FF7 we got took about 3 years I've heard. Not the 15 or 10 the ad campaign was. I can empathize with crunch too, but not when theres, 'realistic ball shrinkage, and real time eye reflections you will never notice.
I'm on the outside, but I think theres a genuine lack of leadership and work ethic in most studios. I could rant on, but I'll stop here by saying that, most CGI announce trailers are handled outside of the studio, is purely conceptual, and cost millions at the least. AAA, and the push for AAAA is a very 1% 1st world style of thinking.
its so much more expensive than it used to be to make games the dlc model makes sense.
