This remake was actually my first introduction to Final Fantasy 7 and i loved it. It actually made me want to play the original Final Fantasy 7 and I'm loving it so far.
I started with the original, and it impacted me in a profound way. Similarly, Remake made me go back and play the original from start to finish. Admittedly, I've played the OG more than a couple dozen times, but hadn't planned on it. I'm ridiculously time blind-like, I can't remember my birthday, anniversary, etc... without multiple calendar reminders-but, I can still tell you the exact day that FF7 entered my life: December 26th, 1997. All that said, I still don't get the hate that falls on the Remake trilogy. I didn't think that FF7 could surprise me anymore, let alone leave me in a position where I'm on the edge of my seat in wonder. And, I get to fall in love with these characters and this world all over again. Talk about a win win.
I'm doing the opposite. I had never played FF7 either (15 was the first and only one I played, and I didn't care for it), but I bought Remake awhile back but never got around to playing it, so when I finally got the itch with Rebirth approaching...I couldn't do it. It felt wrong not to play the original first. So I just got the Platinum in the PS4 version of the original yesterday and thought it was fantastic. Taking a little break and will either jump into Remake soon or I also ended up being FF8 on PS4 as well (and IX and X/X-2 HD), and might go that route instead.
Playing the og I turned the battle speed all the way up and is so so much better. It's great it has the best music of any game and the pacing of the story is incredible
I've never played a Final Fantasy game before. I watched your review of Rebirth and decided to give Remake a shot. I'm in chapter 11 and loving it. I cant wait to get my hands on Rebirth!
Holy crap, you just started? Glad to have you here with is, you ain’t seen nothing yet! I went ahead and (re)played all of Compilation before Rebirth Beat FF7 OG (all time fav. game) Dropped Before Crisis (2004 mobile game with fan remake, eh, apparently has an amazing story) Watched Advent Children (complete version!) Just so you know, if you're like me & don't like knights, castles dragons & that look / vibe, the other Final Fantasy games might not be for you. Each game is on a different planet, only Crisis Core & FF7 have Cloud & Midgar. Just a heads up, it's a reason why this one got the remake & no others.
I love FF7 remake. When I’m bored or had a bad day, I turn on the PS4 Pro. I pop in this game, suddenly my eyes light up and I’m a kid again for a hour or so until I pass out. 🤷♂️😄
Chapter 8 here and I have not been able to put the controller down this time around. I am at about the same place where I was on my first play through when this game first released on the ps4. And I got to say I have really become to love this iteration more than the 1997 original, just amazing and I can’t wait for rebirth, 4 days 🤩
I picked up from chapter 14 after taking a year off on accident. Unfortunately, 15-18 is mainly side content, a drawn out dungeon and back to back boss fights and walking in between. The story is basically over from here. Make sure you do everything available before moving on, or you'll have to come back in chapter selections. Might be less of a drag if you're playing it all at once, but also you might burn out faster too so keep that in mind.
Man just started playing this since I preordered rebirth at first I wasn’t too into it but now that I found my headset that has 3d audio it feels so much more impactful and real. You’d never think that a simple pair of headphones could make such a huge difference
I started off with kingdom hearts and went into ffv and ff6 followed by 13 and 7 remake . Remake stretched out yes but it’s also very memorable and fun I played the base ps4 version but even then I felt the game was very smooth.
Ff7 remake absolutely holds up even 4 years later game still looks and plays great. I never beat it tho so I’m currently playing it and trying to beat it before I get into rebirth. Currently in chapter 3 seeing tifa wait on the steps for me
FF7 Remake is one of my fave games of all time, all the love and care put into it is incredible, the whole remake project itself is one of the greatest gifts to gaming ❤
what are you talking about? the game is a total failure and dont catch the spirit of the og. midgar is tutorial and not the fighting ground against sephiroth.
I do like the remake. But as someone who grew up with FF7, I still want a remastered original. I wish the PS3 version came out it probably would have been perfect and still hold up now.
they have mods for the original game i would recommend cheeking them out.they even have a voice mod if you want that. that is the best way to get close to a remaster witch again i am glad square enix went the rout they did remasters are kinda lazy in my eyes. they don't give the quality that a remake does.
I’m going to do that eventually. When I beat it for the first time last year, my experience was definitely above average & great. I have no doubt it’ll be just as great the next time.
@maximerheault8349 I think it's special in its own way! I like it, but there's certainly things in the game some people won't like, for example, the DMW system. But I think it gives off some much needed context for character and their backgrounds/morivations like Zack and Sephiroth. Although not essential, I think it's a good time if you want to get more into the world of FF7 itself.
@@maximerheault8349I don’t know if it’s needed but they remastered it before rebirth for a reason. I think it’s a really fun game, not as good as remake. It’s a PSP game but I played it for the first time last year and it was a blast. It’s not long, I put 20 hours into it. That was me doing a lot of the side missions. It’s a handheld games, so the side missions aren’t long and don’t over stay their welcome. It’s on sale at best buy for 30 bucks. It’s the PS4 edition but it has a free upgrade
No it isnt its nowhere near! Ff7 fanboys just need remove the nostalgia goggles the original would barely pass for a mobile game now, as for CC, it starts great then becomes a pretentious confusing convuluted mess. @Yadlina
It stretches out Midgard a lot but its a great game and makes characters like Jessie shine. I do kinda find it cool its more of a sequel like how the Rebuild of Eva movies are. Its the retelling but a sequel at same time
the funny thing is, people today forgot how FF7 was sold on the backs of midgar. and even in universe, its one of the most important cities in the world. but we barely spend any time there, and outside of a minor side quest, its completely inconsequential to the rest of the game. the entire game being set in midgar made use at least feel how massive it's supposed to be. sure the game has a few pacing issues in some chapters, but its also a joy to explore the nooks and crannies of the places. i just wish we had more freedom to explore and go back and forth. i even think that was the original plan for the chocobo rides, but got scrapped for one reason or another.
No, we wanted a way to save Aerith. Just like y'll want to sve Jessie now. I just don't like being SHAMED for being a Classic fan, beaten about the head and shoulders for being old school. The movie Tomorrowland does a much better job of showing "how to finesse predestination"
@@xheraltDo we know if we can't save her yet? I wouldn't assume anything until part 3, don't take theories at face value (everyone just disagrees with each other).
They had some massive balls to Remake it like they are doing, and doing so incredibly great. FFVII is my favorite game of all time, and i now have 270hrs in Remake. Can't wait for Rebirth! The way they did it makes it so it can exist perfectly next to the original. If they just did a one on one remake we would have...the same game in modern graphics and that would never give the experience the original gave us. Now it's still sort of the same, but we can't know for sure what's comming, keep us guessing. And the quality of it all...damn. The gameplay, the characters, voice actors, style, gfx, MUSIC. It's all so well done!
Are you serious lmao? If they wanted to take the story in a new direction there are INFINITE ways they could have done it that would be better than the plot ghosts. Seriously the most braindead way of going about it possible
@@amit_patel654 Yess i will, and then part 3 in a few years! But i love how they made it so i can exist in parallel to the original. This way they keep the original in tact. It's also so awsome how they made it so Sephiroth meta talks to the players of the original. It's so well done! If they just did a 1 one 1 remake it would never be the experience we once had and could only hurt the OG.
If it was square the whispers personified, wouldn't they be working to make sure the story changes? They work to keep the story the same. They are the fans personified.
This game was such a blast from start to finish. Easily one of favorites in recent memory. I’ve been wanting to play it again before rebirth because I don’t have enough storage space for my save data when I transferred all’s my stuff to ps5. Though I doubt I have enough space to install it since I’ve been playing Baldur’s gate 3 recently
I like the idea of changing fate, of toying with what is already "known" and possibly "predestined"; I don't like being beaten over the head with it. "Everything you know is wrong, and shame on you for expecting it!" It's a variant of "woke" elitism that I could do without, thank you very much.
@@xheralt Na thats how Square feels about the fans now of the original game, I'm sorry but keeping Aerith an Zack alive ruins it, You wouldn't have felt the same emotion the first time playing seeing her die and coming to grips with her being gone for good . Not everybody get the happy ending that game taught you that. So shame on you
The way I understood it, Red and Aerith at first THINK the whispers are trying to protect the original destiny, but in the last chapter it looked to me like they are somehow influenced by Sephiroth. Maybe everything sourrounding those things happened because Sephiroth tried to turn fate to his favor, cause he somehow found out he's destined to lose in the end.
Finally was able to beat it just last week with mixed feelings. The faithfully remade parts were so amazing but some changes like certain characters living and the state of the slums after the plate fell really ruined a lot of the stakes for me. And there was so much filler content that it was a chore sometimes, most notably imo was the train graveyard. Overall amazing game tho
I grew up playing the OG FFVII and loved it. 20 years later, I took a lengthy break from gaming. Remake was among the first ps5 titles I played, and it freaking blew me away. Ended up getting the platinum. Came back to it after Rebirth, definitely feels a bit less refined, but is still such a fantastic game with an absolute killer OST.
FF Rebirth is gonna be wild. As for the Yuffie stuff it will be interesting especially whenever Deepground appears. Also I think Sonon didn't "die". They could kept him alive once he was pulled away
This game does have its issues especially with padding in certain chapters and pretty boring side quests but overall I love it and the characters. Can’t wait for rebirth sepiroth’s “seven seconds till the end” line has been stuck in my head since that moment
Why do people keep getting "Intergrade" with "Intermission". Like what? The game has been out for how long, and people can't remeber the word "InterGRADE"????
Love this game its my first Final Fantasy Game after i finished 15&16 and though i wont be done with it until the 23rd, i will definitely get Rebirth a week after release or so
Mf Pokemon... The most famous videogame ever to exist is a turn based RPG. There's no reason this couldn't be a turn based RPG What we got is pretty sweet though. I love FF13 and X-2 so I'm glad to see that team making a fun new action version of the stagger, crystarium and atb systems
AI is getting wild, there are literally thousands of videos with this same style/font/thumbnail/intro holy actual balls I can't tell what's real anymore.
I just ordered FF7 remake and pre-ordered rebirth for PS5. I haven't played the original FF7 since 1998 and I vaguely remember what happened in the story. Would you say I should replay the original version (I have it on nintendo switch) before playing the remake and rebirth or I can jump straight to remake?
Loved the combat and characters in remake. There was limits like textures in some places and on rails exploration, that are negatives to the game. But on the whole, this was the best FF game to me since 10. Seeing all the love for rebirth as me hoping Square nails the 3rd making this a trilogy to revival Mass effect that I will return to time and time again over many years.
I think the correct theory, is that Zack and the others are still dead, and that they're just interpreting the Lifestream in their own way. At some point near the end, I'm guessing the "curtain will get drawn back", and they'll realize, "Oh, crap. I'm dead." Maybe the moment Aerith dies and joins him will be when he figures it out.
It’s an alternative timeline. You see stamp the dog look completely different when you see Zack and cloud outside of Midgar compare to what we see in the game. The events of Zack dying takes place right around the start of 7. So there’s no way that Stamp could’ve change. The thing is keeping the timeline intact are no longer. So I don’t see a sixth sense type of scenario. Also, how would he know about Marlene? The situation the.Barrett and Tifa storming the shinra building could take place without Cloud. Marlene could’ve still be taken to Aerith’s house. Plus I could’ve heard that the devs talk about different timelines.
@@Leavinsies do they though? I could’ve sworn that the ending we got was far in the future. It didn’t make sense to me. However I beat it after I saw Advent Children. So I knew they lived
Slowly making my way through hard mode for the platinum and I'm not too concerned with rebirth yet but I forgot just how good the story is and it's giving me a second chance to get caught up with everything. I still have integrade to play through as well so me and rebirth are going to have a late get together which I'm fine with that. There's a few other games I'm playing right now anyway so it works out.
There are parts of the story in the remake that don’t make sense. Like what the heck is Aerith lying about, where did the whispers come from and what if anything do they have to do with the story. I think the thing that I am most upset about is the reduction of Tifa’s breast.
Something tells me that along with the other theories that I've had regarding Sephiroth and Aries is Zach being alive he's going to come over to the other storyline and sacrifice himself instead of Aries to save her because he finds out he shouldn't be alive.
Couldn’t really get into the original FF7 but am really tempted to jump into remake on ps plus extra with how good it and rebirth look. I know there’s some elements lost without playing og but it seems like a lot of people here are playing remake as their first FF so I think I’ll give it a shot.
I've played through the OG FF7 multiple times, watched AC, and played through Crisis Core. I felt like someone may have slipped some acid into my drink while playing through the ending chapter of FF7 Remake. I couldn't wrap my head around what was actually happening. I had to watch some fan theory videos on RUclips to grasp what they were getting at.
How could you not unerstand that they fought fate, won, Sephiroth absorbed all the little fate protecting creatures and he let Cloud kill him so it would also kill fate. After that they were free of fate which is what Sephiroth wanted so that he could (in his mind) finally be able to win and get out of fate's plan that kept him from winning. Then Sephiroth left fates realm and went back to the world to continue his plan and the gang followed him knowing (because Aerith told them) they were free of fates plan and anything can happen now. Which means they don't have to follow everything the og did because that was what fate wanted and tried to keep on track but now they are dead Sephiroth and the gang can start over freash. AKA the Final Fantasy VII Remake isn't really a remake but a sequal.
I actually found Barrett to be a decent Black Mage build so to speak. Because he lacked mobility I leaned into his long range game taking the burden of magic damage dealer off of Aerith a bit and giving her more room for support/healing🤷🏿♂️
I remember being super hyped for this. Cant believe its already 4 years old the first part of the remake. Too many unnecessary changes but i did like it overall. Its just as a remake/reimagining it wasn’t what i expected which is why some people will be completely against this game cuz of that or will like it for the gameplay atleast and memorable old characters now modernized
Whisper i believe create by concept " try to make experience remake real as possible You do not re-playing some game with good graphic But Your charecter from the past came back throught time to you for real"
It took me three times to try to get to play remake. 1. At Launch 2. When FF16 was annouced 3. When FF7 Rebirth released. It finally clicked for me on the third try and I finally love the game. Sure i really don't like Avalanche but the combat is what finally got through my head.
I remember when the og FFVII released and it was a boom in games of that time. Yet I regret not starting it back then. Too much unvoiced dialogue and turn based combat that felt tiring in jrpg games kept me from playing this masterpiece. So after so many years I want to start the FF7 series. Thanks for the heads up, Matt. I wanted to start playing the Remake. Can I start playing the Remake without playing the original game? What is the Canon guide of FFVII games and movies to jump into?
20:01 of course they made yuffie mandatory. I don't think modern gamers would've figure it out to recruiter or not if she would've been optional. Speaking from experience. I have younger brothers and nephews who always ask me things like, "where did you find that? How did you power up so quickly? I didn't know you can do that in the game. What area if the game is that? Etc.". So sorry, but modern games are made different because of modern gamers, and when I say different I really mean Easier
Well. I cant make it past chapter 3. The combat system and constant character changing is infuriating. I dont want to take nausia meds to play what was once my favorite game series of all time. "Was"... And 100% a game killer for any FF game from 15 until current. Its awful. And sir, you've played the originals. Dont compare this to classic turn based. Ya know better.... It seems our opinions differ. I find they wasted so much substance for filler content. All people want now IS filler content....
Most of 16 side quests are bs. It's a few with really great gut-wrenching plot that people think about. And those are few. So you are not entirely wrong about 16s side quests.
I thought they would have made Aerith live or die based on the player's decisions. It would add a lot of replayability, would also make sense since there used to be so many rumors about saving her, I thought they'd make it so you finally can. This would add a lot of complexity to part 3 though. They would need to have two different versions, a part 3 where she lives and one where she's dead.
I hate the way they have your weapons now. In the old game I loved when you got new weapons and you equipt them to get stronger and whatever perks they would give you. In the new game I don't bother even changing my weapons, no point in it I find, I jsy keep my starting weapons on all game.
It means any weapon is viable and helps mold how you want that character to play. You want Cloud to tank? Use Iron Blade. Magic DPS? Mythril Saber etc. This is better especially since the Buster Sword has a weight and history now with all the expanded material rather than just a generic oversized sword in 1997.
Guys kinda cringe. So you want a cookie? I hate the clickbait titles. Like he’s gonna have some life changing revelation that no game critic has had before. No he’s gonna recite all his catchphrases and stretch this video to monetization length saying ABSOLUTELY NOTHING along the way.
Its a mixed bag. Looks like some of the besy character models i ever seen in a game than some environments you see looks very low quality and npc graphics. Intergrade kinda fixed that tho and the lighting looks amazing. Hopefully rebirth’s lighting and charcoal models will look this good as its a ps5 game and environments will look good too, overall part 1 had some things that were changed too much that made some fans hate it, i did too but still liked the game tho as it had fun combat but wish it was 1 to 1 remake. Its a 8/10 or 8.5 out of 10
lol “let’s not delay any further and now a quick word from our sponsor” Hahahaha Yes!! The ad That’s when we know the video has started for real Also gotta admit “Tifa just explodes everywhere” certainly took my mind to a different place than her abilities on the battlefield
They were by far the biggest barrier for me completing the game. I was so sick of doing them and every time more popped up I turned off the game for 3 months before rinsing and repeating the process until I finally recently got to the end. The game could have been so much better if the few good side quests were just integrated into the main plot with higher production values and the rest of the bloat was either significantly reduced to maybe 10 to 20 side quests max or removed completely.
I played the remake for the first time last year. Never played the original. While I absolutely loved the story and the art of the game, I thought the combat system was kind of just okay and the side quests/busy work weren't particularly fun either. I don't think I ever fully vibed with Cloud either as he comes across as too much of a hardass, but every other character felt very well fleshed out and I found the pacing was perfect. The cinematic moments in the game go beyond most of the games I typically play to a level where it gets ridiculous, but I loved it nonetheless. For me this game was a very solid 8/10 and one of the better games I played last year.
Man.... I have Rebirth in my possession, but am REALLY torn on whether to go ahead & finish Remake first or not! I only got about a third of the way thru Remake, and moved on to other games that came out, & just never really went back to it. Not cus I didn't love it, I did! However, now Rebirth is the new hotness & I REALLY want to try it!! Question is.... Should I stuff this excitement deep down & just finish Remake first, or should I just go ahead & play Rebirth? I have already spoiled the hell out of myself by watching footage of Remake's cutscenes & ending, so I don't know if I'll be missing much by skipping it. I've also played thru the OG PS1 game several times in the past. What do you guys think I should do?
You do realise it hasn't been confirmed either way but most of the evidence points towards it being a sequel? The entire reason there are two timelines is because Sephiroth created them because he has prior knowledge. That's why most people think he's Advent Children Sephiroth. Either time is cyclical and hes remembered everything through the life stream or he's travelled back in time. Both lend themselves to it being a sequel.
I'd say it is a sequel since Sephiroth has gone back in time to change things. The divergences from the original start with him doing different things like personally tormenting Cloud when in the OG he didn't give a crap about him at this point in the story.
I have to say I played this game when I came out and hated it for the reason that I wanted FFVII from PS1 just pretty. I started playing because of the second part coming out and I kind of loved this game. Maybe me playing a lot more games in the mean time made the battle system work so much more than I first tried it
I actively despise this game, just finished my second playthrough that I was doing in preparation for Rebirth. I remember thinking it was okay in my first playthrough. It didn’t hold up. It’s a 30 hour tutorial filled with bullshit everywhere. So many slow walking sections, so many tedious “puzzles” like the robot hand where the solution is obvious but it still takes 5 minutes to do it, so many boss fights with multiple phases, so many bullshit padded runtime dungeons. I didn’t hate everything in the game. I had a lot of fun in both the reactors and also everything from the plate falling to the end of the highway right before the final boss. I don’t hate the concept of what they were doing with the whispers, but I found the implementation of them in the final boss to be madness inducing. The final boss fight was nothing but pure tedium. If the game has maintained that quality that it had from the plate falling to just before the end, I’d even call it a good game. But for the entire first half of the game, I was miserable. I knew it was all padding. I knew it was all meaningless as a way for Square to get 3 games worth of money out of their customers. This shit should’ve been a level in Rebirth. I bet you that I end up loving that game as it has more room to create substantial side content thanks to the world map…but man. I’m glad they released intermission, since I actually really liked that dlc and it bodes well for Rebirth. Still, fuck the remake. I’m never playing this shitty game again. It’s just not worth it to get 5-10 hours of fun in a 30-40 hour game
I still wish it was turn based. Someone had a video essay about for Final Fantasy games are constantly changing and becoming "the final fantasy experience" for different generations. I finally came to the realization that FF isn't for me anymore. It's like falling in love with a stripper. What I want from her (her as in SquareEnix) and what she's going to give me are just not the same thing. The Remakes combat was not fun for me. I never finished the game. I kept having a really tough time against some bosses and I couldn't figure what I needed to do to win and I didn't understand what I was doing wrong. In one of my new favorite genres (Souls games) I can almost always tell what I did wrong in a boss fight. The combat makes sense to me. The FF7R just didn't click; even after 20 hours. Anyway, FFX was my favorite FF game. Pure turn based. And since then games like XCOM 2 and BG3 have been some of my new favorites.
This remake was actually my first introduction to Final Fantasy 7 and i loved it. It actually made me want to play the original Final Fantasy 7 and I'm loving it so far.

Currently in chapter 3 seeing tifa wait on the steps for me
Indeed it looks beautiful after 4 - Years later. And plays great as you said :)
Plenty of stutters on PC though.
@@AlfonsoFigueroa sounds like a PC problem ps5 dosent have that issue
@ yes, it’s problem related to unreal 4 shader compilation.
@@AlfonsoFigueroa ohh that’s too bad cuz the game itself is really good
The combat and characters are so well done that this game is just eminently replayable, despite the sections that drag.
I can already tell this is gonna be the longest half week of my life.
FF7 Remake is one of my fave games of all time, all the love and care put into it is incredible, the whole remake project itself is one of the greatest gifts to gaming ❤
Cloud in a dress was hilarious 🤣
what are you talking about? the game is a total failure and dont catch the spirit of the og. midgar is tutorial and not the fighting ground against sephiroth.
@@Yadlina some people liked final fantasy 7 remake and rebirth and some did not.
I just replayed Remake. I liked it way more the second time.
I’m going to do that eventually. When I beat it for the first time last year, my experience was definitely above average & great.
I have no doubt it’ll be just as great the next time.
Man I absolutely love the Barret section in Ch13 lol. One of my favorite characters.
Barrett is awesome! Happy he got a section focused on him.
Mines too, Barret was alot like my Dad.
Awe man this game is so good, story, combat, music it has it all
I hope how Yuffie is introduced is a quest where she steals all of your material and you have to hunt her down.
Quite literally beat it last week. Such a good game, currently beating Crisis Core before Rebirth is out
is crisis core good? Looks mid compared to FF7 Remake
@@maximerheault8349 its way better tha the sh** they call ff7 remake.
The Whispers = the fans not wanting the story to change.
Sephy at the end/boss is THE OG Sephy (one winged angel) from FF7 OG and Advent Children.
No, we wanted a way to save Aerith. Just like y'll want to sve Jessie now. I just don't like being SHAMED for being a Classic fan, beaten about the head and shoulders for being old school. The movie Tomorrowland does a much better job of showing "how to finesse predestination"
I don't care about the story changing but fucking a chapter 8 is trash, you fight reno and walk to her house terrible
@@NopleaseeeeeeeIsn't that pretty short in the chapter though? It was almost non-existent in the original with how quickly you get to her place.
@@xheraltDo we know if we can't save her yet? I wouldn't assume anything until part 3, don't take theories at face value (everyone just disagrees with each other).
Had to re add this, I'm on chapter 15 n loving every moment
I revisited this game and beat it last week for first time. Once you get a grasp of the mechanics it’s a lot of fun!
270 hours? Holy shit lol you're gonna spend at least 1,000 hrs in Rebirth haha
Are you serious lmao? If they wanted to take the story in a new direction there are INFINITE ways they could have done it that would be better than the plot ghosts. Seriously the most braindead way of going about it possible
@@vtubersubs3803 yeah, I kinda hate that FF7R is hopping on the whole multiverse schtick. First Mortal Kombat 1 and now this. 🙄
@@vtubersubs3803 Well, that's a you problem then. it's so sick, i'm still having a blast playing it! :)
Just finished Persona 3 Reload in time for Rebirth! So excited!
If it was square the whispers personified, wouldn't they be working to make sure the story changes? They work to keep the story the same. They are the fans personified.
I like this view
currently at chapter 15 on my replay before the 29th. I played it back in 2021 on the ps4 so seeing it in its full glory on ps5 is awesome
I’m starting my FF remake journey today! Never played before so I’m excited before rebirth!!
Zach coming back is like bragon ball making broly cannon
I love the new vision. We are into the mystery with our favorite characters.

The whispers are the fans of the original FF7
So shame on you
@@xheralt The original helped me come to terms with a passing as kid.
@xheralt am I playing a game or a movie SMH the game play is good but the story drags
Great video. Hyped for Rebirth!!
It's crazy how Rebirth makes this game look like a prototype lmao
Is it not?
10:04 it still looks like a flat image in Intergrade
Could you please add timestamps if you are going to include spoilers?
Such a banger of a game man, can't wait for Rebirth
Why do people keep getting "Intergrade" with "Intermission". Like what? The game has been out for how long, and people can't remeber the word "InterGRADE"????
Love this game its my first Final Fantasy Game after i finished 15&16 and though i wont be done with it until the 23rd, i will definitely get Rebirth a week after release or so
Mf Pokemon... The most famous videogame ever to exist is a turn based RPG. There's no reason this couldn't be a turn based RPG
What we got is pretty sweet though.
I'm dead."
Maybe the moment Aerith dies and joins him will be when he figures it out.
But, cloud and Marlene are there too. This throws that theory out the window.
@@SuperRamos619 No, I think what he sees isn't real.

Haven’t seen it in years
Those graphics sure take me back…
Yeah, the dynamic resolution scaling makes everything jaggy and blurry. Had to lock em to 60 fps.
Reduction? They seem quite big to me...
I loved every single second of this game I can't wait till rebirth comes to PC
I've played through the OG FF7 multiple times, watched AC, and played through Crisis Core. I felt like someone may have slipped some acid into my drink while playing through the ending chapter of FF7 Remake. I couldn't wrap my head around what was actually happening. I had to watch some fan theory videos on RUclips to grasp what they were getting at.
Basically Nomura on his bull💩 again lol.
I think fan theories make it worse
@@CrazyxEnigmaLMFAO, yes but people with that opinion don't realize how much of that is Kitase and Nojima. Those two are also part of the KH team.

I actually found Barrett to be a decent Black Mage build so to speak. Because he lacked mobility I leaned into his long range game taking the burden of magic damage dealer off of Aerith a bit and giving her more room for support/healing🤷🏿♂️
Is it because he’s black?!!!!!!!!
Who wants a £70 game to only last them about 10 hours? Anyone who says they want full price short games isn't paying for them

It took me three times to try to get to play remake.
1. At Launch
2. When FF16 was annouced

I recommend 4 & 6 as classic ones to check out.
Does this mean Zack can finally go on that date with Aqua?
He ded thou
SO stoked for Rebirth, def replaying Intergrade.

Uhhh Matty I think someone uploaded the wrong clip when talking about FF7 remastered and the "disappointed crowd" 😂
I just platinumed it! So ready for Rebirth!
I hate the way they have your weapons now. In the old game I loved when you got new weapons and you equipt them to get stronger and whatever perks they would give you. In the new game I don't bother even changing my weapons, no point in it I find, I jsy keep my starting weapons on all game.
Play hard mode the weapons matter depending on what strategy you use
Nah that's a good thing because I can use the Buster Sword the entire game without being punished for it
@@js-ro5jk that too
Best of both worlds
It means any weapon is viable and helps mold how you want that character to play. You want Cloud to tank? Use Iron Blade. Magic DPS? Mythril Saber etc. This is better especially since the Buster Sword has a weight and history now with all the expanded material rather than just a generic oversized sword in 1997.
Cloud dies instead of aerith, zack turns into the hero
Next time we should try playing FF7 Rebirth in 2024...
Or God of war ragnarok. Or Resident evil 4 remake. 😂😂
I took your comment so seriously that I unsubscribed from his channel
I loved remake. For some reason I’m struggling to finish intermission. But I’m super hyped for rebirth.
Its a 8/10 or 8.5 out of 10
lol “let’s not delay any further and now a quick word from our sponsor”
Hahahaha Yes!! The ad That’s when we know the video has started for real
Also gotta admit “Tifa just explodes everywhere” certainly took my mind to a different place than her abilities on the battlefield
Playing as Barrett is the absolute worst thing ever
"So I tried playing FF VII in 1998..." 💀
I am playing FF16 right now and the Sidequest are so bad.....Huge time wasters.
Thst first trailer had me thinking abiut the game now we know so much and about to go into rebirth! It still gets me hyped
I just played it. IT WAS FANTASTIC
havent seen rebirth but about Zack is he there to just take part in flashbacks to help people who maybe hasnt played Crisis Core?
Rebirth is good for its new combat, but overall, Remake is better.
Rebirth seems rushed and for $70, it sucks.
Does dynamic resolution is still an issue?
Thank you for your talent
I played the remake for the first time last year. Never played the original. While I absolutely loved the story and the art of the game, I thought the combat system was kind of just okay and the side quests/busy work weren't particularly fun either. I don't think I ever fully vibed with Cloud either as he comes across as too much of a hardass, but every other character felt very well fleshed out and I found the pacing was perfect. The cinematic moments in the game go beyond most of the games I typically play to a level where it gets ridiculous, but I loved it nonetheless. For me this game was a very solid 8/10 and one of the better games I played last year.
Thank you for playing this great game!
Changing the story was so stupid
bro doesn't understand this is a different timeline, not a sequel
@@CrazyxEnigma precisely dude. If its not a sequel it's a bait and switch
You know what would make this game better? Rainbow Mika and 2B!
Jessie's death really broke me
Spoilers man
I still wish it was turn based.
