They're comparing against the SureFire M640 Duel Fuel Turbo Scout Light PRO.
SureFire M640DFT Scout Light PRO Specs:
700 Lumens w/ SF18650B
600 Lumens w/ Two 123 Lithium
100,000 Candela w/ SF18650B
90,000 Candela w/ Two 123 Lithium
Runtime:
2.75 hours w/ SF18650B
1 hour w/ Two 123 Lithium
Cloud Defensive Rein 3.0 Specs:
100,000 Candela peak beam intensity (With 18650)
1250 Lumens output (With 18650)
Runtime:
95 minutes run-time (With 18650)
Dual-Fuel capability. REIN 3.0 runs on 18650 and now, can also run on two CR123 batteries. 18650 rechargeable battery provides the best output, by far. However, you can now use 2 CR123 batteries if needed. You will see reduced output with CR123 batteries.
Look I own a cloud and a surefire turbo, I love both lights but cloud def outshines the competition no pun intended. Yall are always 10 steps ahead and always that much better thank you!
Love to hear it! Thank you for the support.
@@CloudDefensive Always! Gotta give credit where its due and Ive owned them all and without a doubt you make the best lights PERIOD…… I always point people to order from y’all that want the best. Ive never been disappointed and thanks again, my job dictates the best light because my ass is on the line.
The hotspot difference is quite noticeable, but the real huge difference is the spill. The "shall not be named" light has decent spill, but it's barely more than the hotspot. The Rein 3.0's spill is like twice the size. Bright, throws light a long distance, AND has great spill for peripheral vision. Awesome for PID.
This is exactly why lumens matter.
Time to start scratching some nickels together. I’ve experienced their customer service. Top notch.
I just got a Rein 3.0. And I'm super impressed with it.
After spending weeks trying figure out what light to get, Rein 3.0 was the best deal for me as all I needed extra was an MLOK adapter. Since if I'm going to be spending WML money I don't want to have to go back and get another. And while I originally wanted to part together a light, it was going to become insanely expensive really fast and I didn't want that.
I like finding what works and sticking to it, and this will more than work for what I need. And found a light to stick to whenever I do future builds.
Thing that pushed me over the edge was adding dual fuel capabilities. I plan to run 18650s, but just the peace of mind I can also run primary cells in a pinch I really like.
I also like on batteries it can take any 18650 rather than needing to find a super specific type of 18650 that will run in it. I really appreciate those details.
The illumination is insane, I can light up my entire room from anywhere and it's like I turned the room lights on. I wanted tons of throw and spill and the Rein 3.0 delivers in spades. Just having a laser beam doesn't really help me, but also just having flood also doesn't help if I can't focus on what I need to.
This light also made me reevaluate my EDC light, I've seen the light literally. I carry a little pen light all the time, and I think that will be up for replacement shortly.
Great product. Keep up what you're doing. I don't anticipate myself buying another light brand after this, I don't need to when this is already perfect for me.
Thank you so much and we love the fact you're loving the Rein. We greatly appreciate the support 👍
@@CloudDefensive keep making great lights! I love seeing the innovation yall are doing!
I also Ordered a MCH-EDC to replace what I carry on me and hopefully It’ll arrive soon! I’ve seen the light literally.
Love seeing great products made in the USA!
@@Lync512 You're going to love it!
You guy’s are making amazing lights, i purchased Rein 2.0 on launch day. Please make OWL 2.0 with Rein body👍🏼 or new design slim and sexy 😁
Thank you!
looking for some #21700 batts via trade/swap perhaps , would you have any new or slightly used ? and would trade ?, thanks > tom !
Thank you.
Cloud 3 was a great buy... and i learned something from this video about the battery jack.
Glad to hear it!
I want to see the lights tested in a way that's realistic to most of us that are not professional end users. The vast majority of us are looking for something for home defense indoors..... My high lumen low candela light absolutely DOMINATES the candela monsters in the home defense/CQB atmosphere.
This is a good point. Lumens and Candela are both good for different applications.
Great work gents. My next build is getting a 3.0.
Glad to hear it! You won't be disappointed!
After watching the whole thing…. WOW!!! That’s definitely impressive, I’m sure the price tag matches your usual stuff. Just checked, $400+!!! Why??? Unfortunately THIS is why most won’t/can’t even give you a try, we’d sure a shit like too!!
American-made quality isn't cheap and the REIN 3.0 is less expensive than the other lights in its class.
@joshmajor8662 Dont shame a item cause you are poor, level up or shut up
awesome
Are there going to be any improvements to the rein 3.0 pressure pads?
You guys should cut out the OWL pressure pad with the piccatinny mount and have a wire sticking out to connect the rein. Not only will it be more low profile, the button will also be 1000x better.
pretty please!!!
One additional factor I wonder about it loss of natural night vision/how much time it takes for my vision to return after flashing the light on for a few seconds. I have the 640dft and I’ve been itching to compare it to a rein 3.0. I have compared it to a 640u (1000 lumens with spill oriented beam pattern) indoors and at about 50 yards and there’s obviously a big difference in the amount of my peripheral field of view is illuminated by the floodier beam. I wonder if the massive amount of light from the rein overwhelms your night vision any more. Definitely trying to figure out what I can sell to pick on up
Can you guys design and manufacture a full size rechargeable flashlight that will rival/replace a Streamlight Stinger 2020?
I'm more interested in why discontinue the OWL?
Will 3.0 head work on Rein Micro 1.0
I own 2 MCH’s both HC and EDC, and a rein 3.0. Only the best. Moving my rein to my 16” BCM and would love a rein 3.0 micro or rein 2.0 micro
Good stuff!
I gotta be honest man, I intended on “bitching” here. Kinda Lol THEN you said exactly what I was gonna mention… 🤯😂 YOU are spot on!! Unfortunately, most of your customers seem to have no idea what they’re talking about and just say “this is the best”!! It’s nice to see my assumptions were wrong 👍 they are great but like Surefire, overpriced in my opinion. Maybe this new model will change my stubbornness haha 😂 thanks man!!
Are the compact MCH programable like the full-size ones?
They are coming.
Lets go cloudefensive!!!
What’s the size difference between a 1.0 and a 3.0?
Cloud Defensive rocks without all the needless BS that Modlite creates for itself , well done 👍 at my range , run by all ex military & LE. They all run Cloud Defensive weapon lights .
Thanks for the kind words!
Compare it to a nitecore p20ix 4k lumen flashlight
Man I just wish you guys would sell locally. Anywhere
We sell locally all over the country.
@@CloudDefensive this is true but would be nice to have a shop in Evansville or something. I'm an impulse buyer when something nice is in hand 😂
hey shawn/sean , looking for a trade for one , i would like a light around 2500 to 3000 lumens , ie like my klarus g15 tactical type light i own n e.d.c. now , i can trade stuff for one , let me know please, u.s. marine vet here 93' to 97' active , i love #21700 batt. lights > tom !
Would like to see it compared to Acebeam L19 pattern, the TIR king of the long range throw and good spill. The head is large but the performance is outstanding.
What about run time?
It's all listed on our website.
@@CloudDefensive thanks.
Rein 3.0- 95 Minutes
M640DFT Pro- 165 Minutes
I guess you gotta make a sacrifice somewhere with an 18650. Between you guys and SF, y’all probably maxed out the 18650. Rein 4.0 might need a bigger cell if I had to guess. I know tool companies are switching to stacked lithium. It might be worth giving a shot. Obv. need proprietary batteries. Or just 21700 cells instead.
Still have a 1.0 ive never opened🤦♂️
I absolutely hate to say this, especially in light of recent events but my modlite 18650 okw is more intense than rein 3.0. I just don’t see this in my usage. all my shotguns are getting reins though, the battery being beat to hell is so annoying.
I'd be curious what distances you've tested it at.
? Did you run cr123s in the rein or something? The rein claps the modlight
But where EPL
Id buy one if i could explain to my wife why a flashlight costs as much as a gun.... nice product though...
Why does she need to even know?
@@cameronallen5043EXACTLY! Or better yet man up and buy it like a man and if she dont like it then I hate it for you.
Make a video on why hundreds of people had to get new tailcaps after their shitty handheld failed randomly or when they needed it the most.
Less than 2% of our lights have issues. When there is an issue we make it right. There will unfortunately be some issues with the sheer volume of lights we produce, but we will always make it right.
