I own two of these I like them, but they are very loud. The inside facing surface should be covered in anti-sound material like some felt or something silent there’s your idea for generation, two or three… meanwhile, I’m going to be rigging it up with some glue, and some type of material to silent the movement of the cap.

Mine broke after a fall from about 3 feet. Kinda disappointed. I am hoping for a response from customer service.

Sup! Ya'll have any plans on the pressure pads for the Rein 3.0? The pressure pad ya'll had on the OWL light was perfect. It was a much lower profile, very sturdy, and yet the pad works smoothly from edge to edge of the pad.
My main issue with the Rein 3.0 honestly is the whole light switch design.
° It says 5in long but you're only really getting 4in since the cord is sticking out 90° from the face of the picatinny rail slots.
° momentary button is very stiff and only works dead center of the button rather than the same pressure/feel as the rein itself and the constant on button.
° overall height is much higher than the OWL light pad. I could get a higher scope mount but its already past 4inchs from the CL of the bore, plus my cheek riser cannot get any higher.
Straight up, my best solution for you guys is to cut out the OWL pad, use an AUX cord style with a 90° bend in place and connect that dead center of the pad but toward to the side. You can create a slot on the side of the pad which will allow the wire to sit nicely. Also, for the love god please give us more than 5 inches. somewhere around 6 to 8in.

Do we need a light cap now?

Most of us? No. There are people out there who need to prevent shine and light ND though. And they look cool.

"Over engineered" and over omplacated, expensive product.
Just use an aimpoint t2 rear cap. Works much better

This is a much better option than the Aimpoint cap.
