You say the REIN will come with the single constant switch, but don’t mention what length will be standard?
Good question. 5.5" is the standard for white light. Just a bit longer than the current switch.
@@CloudDefensive 5.5! Man you making me look bad. I can't compete with that. 😬👇🏼😂
Wish the single switch had constant and momentary.
It does in its own way, it’s just reversed, click on then barely touch the button and it goes off until you let off. It’s different but just as easy to use.
I feel like the momentary is what should be going out with new reins. That way you got a momentary at finger tips and constant on tail. Or the duals. Either way I’m buying one, and will be purchasing the dual switch for it…just need DAC to make a new rsma for it since I like my tape switch at 3 or 4:30 mlok rail.
Including only a constant on switch is alienating 50% of your customer base.
You should really just include the stwitch with both momentary and constant.
Tactically a constant on isn't even viable, any low light class will emphasize this and as a white light company you guys should know this.
The only reason to buy your lights was because it came ready to go out of the box. Now that you have to purchase the switch that is more practical by default separately makes your lights not worth buying.
Huge step back from you guys.
Our market research and extensive training has shown the exact opposite. Most are going to constant-on/momentary-off applications for a multitude of reasons when it comes to pure white light only applications. Much of this being civilian & LEO where N/V is not near as common. But, we also know not everyone works that way and has their own opinions or use cases. That's why we wanted to have several switch options available. Different strokes for different folks.
I like how this isn’t even an AD but it does it so well, while showing us the workers and answering our questions
Just got a new rein 3 the other day. It's my first rifle light and I love it. The new switch feels great!
Thanks for this. I've had it with the switches available for Surefire. The DS00 is just way too long and awkward for what it does.
Her coffee mug....... 👏👏👏👏
When will these hit the site?
Cool. Finally a constant light switch.
You guys need to make a video discussing how you’re improving QC. I love your products, but even your own FB group (the majority) won’t recommend your 3.0 lights right now.
If you act like these problems aren’t happening & sweep it under the rug, your company will have a hard time growing… the internet exists & people talk lol
Just give an explanation as to why it slipped & how you’re improving it. All while reassuring customers that your CS will take care of them. It would be cool if you guys did a “torture test” as well to show how rock-solid your lights actually are (there’s a ton out there, but another one for reassurance wouldn’t be bad).
Second this. I have had good support/communication, but still am over a month in with no functioning product. If and when the issue gets resolved there will still be lingering trust issues with the light… please don’t go down the path of your end users being the ones doing your field testing and product proving.
Torture test used to be all we did and it started to get beaten to death. (No pun intended). We do that to prove a point until it was clear the point was made. Our lights are tough. Lately we have been focusing on consumer education be it installation, training, etc, but you will see more torture test in the near future mixed in.
It's hard to see the big picture in one concentrated area like a FB group. You will see the same thing with other brands. In truth, we have a very low return rate as every light that ships out the door is tested. And if on the rare occasion you have any issues, we have an outstanding warranty to back it up. We are also in the process of further streamlining our CS department to further benefit our customers and improve turn around times.
@@CloudDefensive Good to hear, because I will be buying a Rein 3.0 Micro & I only expect the best from you guys. I love ya, but it seems like y’all been slipping lol
@@ghost.actual718be happy you haven’t. I recommend one to a coworker for his work gun and he had the notorious flickering issue. Then it took them nearly 2 months to ship him a new one. I looked like a dunce being the one talking them up and recommending them. My 1 has been solid (though I hate the switch) and my owl has been perfectly adequate for what it is.
@@ghost.actual718Hopefully my problem is an isolated issue.. It’s just frustrating to spend that much on a product and have it fail directly out of the box. Even more frustrating though is that it would take this long to resolve the issue.
These looks sick. Can you do a side by side of the old switches? Also will m-lok options be available on release or will it be 3rd party situation like drivenarms made for the og switches?
These are out now. First batch sold out fast and we have more coming very, very soon. We'll add some photos on the website showing old vs new.
M-Lok mount is currently in the works but no set ETA.
I love the bloopers lol -Walsh
GTA VI will get released sooner than the EPL 💀
Will it be possible to buy the REIN with the momentary only instead of the constant on only? Both are the same price aftermarket so I don’t see there being an issue with that, and I’d like to buy the light as I intend to use it instead of replacing a switch I’d never use.
The standard offering is constant on based on user feedback. Some dealers may request a different button choice, but it is not the norm. It would be best to purchase the momentary only separate and you could sell the constant if you wish. Either way, you're still coming in less than our competitors and have the performance of teh Rein.
Is there an FDE legacy body coming anytime soon??
Will the activation be a bit easier on the new switches? That is really my only complaint about the light and it’s not the light itself. Awesome stuff.
Activation is easier and you have a larger surface area to boot.
My 1.0 and 2.0 wires both eventually developed rips and tears. There's electrical tape on a couple of 'em. I hope these being more malleable means they'll be less prone to that kinda thing.
Will there be options for the white light length options, like the shot show fb video announced? Or only 5.5”
Only 5.5" at this time, but we might do longer if the market demands. These cables are a bit longer than the past generation switches already. The different length options will be for the soon to be released IR switches.
i, as the market, hereby demand, longer cables!!!@@CloudDefensive
@@CloudDefensivepersonally think 5.5 is a good length between the old 4.0 and 7.0. Like exactly between lol. You guys do math!?!?
Um, what if I have a Rein 3.0 with that older flickery tail cap switch, but properly working remote switch. Can I warranty that old switch for a new switch?
There shouldn't be any issues with the current switch. If your light flickers it typically means the battery jack isn't tight or the tailcap or head isn't tight. That being said, we stand behind our products if an issue arises. Most likely you will receive the same style switch that was sent in for warranty as they still work just fine.
When will these be out? I literally just bought a 3.0 and now I want to return it and wait on the new stuff.
They released 3 days ago, but no cable length options or IR dual lead switch, nor anything I can find on their site about why the IR switch isn't out or an ETA on it. 🤷
@@DD65847Only the IR switches will be coming in multiple lengths at this time. We've mentioned it in posts and during the initial launch, but we developed a way for the IR switches to work on an even wider variety of IR devices. Overall it just makes them even better. Those will be launching now Q2.
Any trade in or discount if you want to trade the old switches for these?
Not at this time. The 3rd gen is an evolutionary change where we made some additional improvements to the design. There's functionally nothing wrong with the current switch and they will continue to work. There are still plenty of gen 1s in use out there.
I've never run white light and IR on the same setup, can someone tell me why you'd want your IR to turn on at the same time as your white light?
They worded it a bit funky, so you can use this if you're running something like a Steiner CQBL to operate your Steiner + a Surefire IR scout or BEM Kiji. Conversely, you can flip a PEQ or RAID or whatever into the Viz spectrum and run your white light in conjunction with it for moving night time targets like pigs or coyotes, etc.
Yass!!!
hello, I see on the website that the new switches are available, however I do not see the dual lead light/laser switches on the website. What is the timeline for the light laser switches?
Those will be released separetley in the coming weeks. We made some changes that will allow them to work on an even wider variety of IR devices.
@@CloudDefensive sweet can't wait I'm going to get so many of these!
@@CloudDefensive Ngal plans in the future?
Did the dude that covered his screen of the mlok prints…perhaps be DAC?
Does the constant on version act like the current switch where you can treat it as momentary?
You have to fully depress it, past the click, then it is on. I personally hate that. I want it to go on as I start to press it. They like a momentary off for some reason
@@SteelCityIceBirds Correct. Different strokes for different folks. That's why we wanted to make sure we had more options available. Zach does a good job explaining the momentary off aspect of the constant-on here ruclips.net/video/9xNCyDKgZHo/видео.htmlsi=rFPHgG4p9akzQKAj
@@CloudDefensiveI also dislike it. Doing it the normal way where it turns on the moment you start to press the switch allows you to use it similar to a momentary on. And it gives you light immediately
I don’t get why they like the momentary off. Momentary on/constant on with a full press would have been great. There wouldn’t have been a point to have 3 new switches. One switch to rule them all.
@@chrisc615 The constant button is reverse latch similar to the SF SR07 that many are used to. Everyone has their preferences and many prefer the momentary off functionality. But in the end we wanted to make switches for everyone's use case.
Does the press feel exactly the same as the old switches
Lighter and easier to actuation without worrying about accidental light NDs.
I was wondering the same thing because I absolutely hate the switch I got with my 3.0 micro. Way too hard to press. Was building a Modlite online and realized with the switches and all it was going to run me about $548 but I now need to go with the unity button, the legacy body, and a surefire tail cap which is gonna cost me $720 total so I’m very disappointed in this but I can’t deal with the old dual switch so I’m gonna have to do something different
@@trevorkendrick4773exactly!! I’ve done the research and even was looking into z-bolt’s newish tailcap with crane lead…for $98 and a mod button with crane plug $75. Also, modlitfht came out with the “gascap” for like $85 that has a side plug much like the z-bolt, which uses a usb-c mod button. But it’s PLASTIC! And the usb-c modbutton is another $75-$85!!! Then you gotta buy a body, and light!!! When it comes to the end, cloud rein 3 is the best overall deal! And the whole package is WATERPROOF to 100’ for 24hrs. None of the others are!!! Best thing to do is wait for a sale and find codes, primary arms had a flash sale in total it was like $325. Midwest optics is another great store to purchase from the regularly sell blems for $250 and always sell 3.0 full or micro non blems for $319. No matter how you stack it, the only comparison is the hrt awls mk6 which doesn’t come with remote tape switches. Just a “dong” tail button. And even that’s $299! So cloud rein 3 both full AND micro are actually quite a bargain. People just hide their purchases from their wives by buying their lights piece by piece, never flopping a $319 credit card bill. But ultimately pay around $450 total, and have issues mixing electronics, tape switch flickers, reduced power through buttons etc etc. then, the fall in a puddle and fry it!!! Hahahahah lol. Took me a bit to come to the conclusion….and once I did, I switched to researching exactly where I can get the cheapest rein 3 kit! So far, Midwest optics, and tactical surplus (kinda high shipping) usually get the good stuff. Right now optics planet is selling them with the new constant only tape switch for $399 if you see any sales or codes for optics planet.
It takes a lot of confidence to admit to the Internet that you have trouble fitting your cable into the channel.
What about tail cap button without a switch?
We sell those currently.
Why force people to pay for a switch and mount that they may not want? The REIN is a pretty good value if you like the default switch and mount. If you want an offset mount or a different switch its a horrible value.
Really hope you guys offer an option to just buy the light in the future. I have a hard time believing anyone willing to spend this much on a WML needs something that's ready to go all in one purchase.
What lasers will work with them?
More info to come as far as exact specifics, but we use true Crane spec plugs.
But...did you test it with a Steiner? :P@@CloudDefensive
I'm assuming available in FDE.
Switches are black only at this time.
Did I miss the price
Priced similarly to the current switch with the dual lead being a bit more. All info will drop on the 1st.

These new switches sound like the perfect solution for you as it will be a direct swap to your Rein Micro and we made the buttons larger and easier to actuate than the previous generation.
@@CloudDefensive well if it’s easier to activate I’ll give it a try. I love the light but yeah the old switch is not for me. It happens but appreciate that yall reach out and listen to customers feedback
Hilarious as always
Prices?
RUclips and posting prices get a little weird when it comes to this industry. They are priced exactly the same as our past switches and available on the website.
Will this be compatible with the rain 3.0 or is there a swap program?
Compatible with all generation Reins.
Needs to be asked...EPL??
Lol 😂
Totally dead
Give up on it. They don't care anymore
Coming. We'll release more info when the time is right.
Looks like Micheal Scott filmed this
There was some influence lol ruclips.net/video/yQOAkYXrfyg/видео.htmlsi=VyZkTmUB_Y1KRsyn
Where’s our epl boys? Genuinely asking not like all the other condescending mfs on fb
In development. When the time is right we’ll release more info.
rein come with a single constant on? that's ghey. they have a constant on switch in the tailcap
We've received a ton of feedback that most people prefer the constant-on, but we still wanted to offer other options. There's some good info in this video about momentary vs constant. It just depends on your use case. ruclips.net/video/9xNCyDKgZHo/видео.htmlsi=sILRCAEr6CcCrYSF
When ordered from your site, could you just make it a drop-down option? Sure, it may extend shipping times a hair, but hey.@@CloudDefensive

Just received my first reign 3.0. Didn’t have this switch….I feel cheated🥲
We JUST switched (no pun intended) and most dealers are still getting in the 3rd gen switch. The 2nd gen is still solid and durable. If you decide to change we think you’ll like it, but that 2nd gen is still proven 👊
