Don't you think "HATE" has become overused and lost meaning? Anyway, back to the topic of this video. I am Polish but have spent half of my life living in Sweden. A lot he said about people being unfriendly was weird, especially when I compare Swedes to Poles. He should come to Sweden and experience the real mental hermits. Do we complain a lot? Probably, and I agree with your interpretation of this phenomenon. Is our language difficult? The more I understand its difficulty, the happier I am that I don't have to study it. The red tape he complains about (BTW: who is complaining now?) is not different from the American one. It is more of the European sort-I agree with you. Climate? Well, the beauty of Poland lies in the four seasons, pity he misunderstood. Guys - I love your channel; keep up the good work. Greetings from dark and really gloomy wintery Sweden. Merry Christmas!
Constructive criticism is always something positive. Poland is not the best place to live on our planet, but comparing this country to many others I have been to, it has many advantages: high level of safety, low cost of living, increasingly developed infrastructure (roads, banks, etc.), straightforwardness of people you know. You will not find here American artificiality, covering up greed and materialism, widely available weapons, thousands of homeless people on the streets immersed in drug addiction.
"American artificiality, covering up greed and materialism" - good point, still true, but through the last 3 decades less and less. When the people, who were raised before 1990 will day, not much of the straightforwardness will last.
The Americans often perceive directness as rudeness. The majority of people are not rude, they are simply direct but I guess when you grow up surrounded by artificial smiles and fake complements you might have a hard time adjusting to reality. People in Poland and in the northern part of Europe in general like to mind their own business and respect other people’s personal space, but again, by ‚chatty’ small talk Americans it’s often perceived as rudeness.
20 years ago at this time the snow was everywhere, reflecting the sun during the day, reflecting lanterns in the evening, even in total darkness it shimmered. Now it's gray and rainy, absolutely different experience. It was colder, but nicer. Thank You for your videos,. Love from Poland 😉
Maybe arrogant or just own/narrowed perspective. We all see the world with our own eyes - ‘they speak different language so they are them, not us’. Still - these kind of channels/videos do now more good than centuries of education to understand each other. Thanks once more. Cool that this vid didn’t affect my pride to be pl 😂.
have to admit that in Poland at this time of year it can be depressing, I live in Warsaw, the clouds are hanging low, 7 in the morning it's still dark, at 4 in the afternoon it's already dark, it's 6 degrees right now and the weather is like that for, for example, 6 days in a row. But when the sun comes out, you really appreciate it, you wait for the sun with longing. Fortunately, every Pole knows that after winter comes spring, it gets warmer, the air smells different 🤗
About people vomiting after alcohol at streets - I think it's much exaggerated, an opinion of that person, in case of Poland. I haven't really noticed anything like this (maybe she means surrounding of some pubs?). I think in other countries it's actually much worse. And nowadays alcohol use in Poland doesn't differ much from other EU countries. By the way, in Asian countries, as we can see in various videos about South Korea, Japan or China, drinking is actually more common (they often have to even attend various drinking parties after work with their bosses and work team, even if kdramas we can see often people getting completely drink and vomiting). So it's not really something being any issue in Poland.
This is a guy who embodies Anglo-Saxon chauvinism. A perfect example is when he came out with a statement like, 'You Poles should simplify your language, because it’s difficult for me-a native English speaker-to learn it.' And when people replied to him that his statement was absurd, he got offended and started claiming that Poles can’t take criticism.
It's true that Polish is difficult. But there are some RUclipsrs, coming from Asian countries, who speak Polish perfectly. Just to mention "Kim jestem - Koreańczyk w Polsce" (a South Korean living in Poland, with his whole family) or "Ignacy z Japonii" (a Japanese living in Poland). And others as well. In my opinion, if someone goes to a foreign country, not only just for holidays, but a bit longer period (even if it's temporary) - it's a great opportunity to learn a foreign language of that country, at least a bit. And it's a big waste not to make use of such an opportunity.

I really like your attitude and outlook on people, cultures, and countries in general. As you said, nothing is perfect. I am curious to hear more about South Africa. I also sight whenever I hear complaints about Polish weather. Weather is just that and as long as you don't live in Siberia there isn't much to say, that is how the world functions In Europe weather is like that because it's Europe... I actually think that Poland is way to war right now It used to be hot summers and very cold winters even -20 with beautiful covers of snow, now we get that maybe a few weeks a winter If we are lucky, and usually the temperature does not even go down to -10 and usually it's 0 or higher so the snow melts and makes a gray mess that makes it hard to drive. I am not fond of high temperatures so I avoid holidays in warm countries simple Complaining is fine but sometimes it seems like the weather is part of some negative country score...

I disagree with the comment about people vomiting in the streets en masse. Of course, this happens to people every now and then, but in my 39 years of life never have I seen such a scene. And mind you, I am no stranger to summer festivals in the countryside, where the average intake is not a joke. In the last days I went out twice and came back home around 3-4am, these were parties where people had alcohol and yet, nobody threw up in public. Maybe it is about venues, i.e. that girl went to places where very young people go and they often have not learned to control how much they can have and therefore do not keep decorum. Or they could be stag parties indeed...
First of all, as always, love your reactions 🙂 Ok, I watched lots of his videos and on the beginning used to drive me crazy but don't worry that is one of his older videos, he is changed his tune since then a little bit 😉 But still, people that come to visit other countries can't expect that all nation is gonna start speaking their language just so it's easier for them. No, they are in their own country and they speak their language.I know is 21 century and lost of people know English now but they don't have to in their own country. It will be nice if you learn at least basics and the "natives" will be more open to you and helpful. Because if not they will see you as another invader just different type. Respect is recommended. Another thing is, polish people smile but not to random passing strangers on the streets, that's just crazy. Customer is always right? Sometimes yes, not always. Some customers are using that against you for their own benefit and that's how small businesses fail. You should be polite but fair. About the weather.Poland has four seasons, unfortunately they changed lately a bit, but still. I agree with you, don't expect tropical or all year round sonny weather coming to Europe. It's logical. I live in Italy, 15 years now, but even here is not all nice and sunny. Yes, summer is boiling but the other months are tricky and also dull for some time like in Poland. Apart from that I don't know what he meant by "only 4 hours of day time in winter" in Krakow. Shortest day in Poland is 7 hours+-,in December. It's not freaking Alaska or not even Sweden. The last thing is, what nation can hold their liquor... Non if you drink too much. My honest opinion. But, I lived in UK for 3 years, 7 in Germany, 15 in Italy and the most "unpleasetaries" on the streets after weekends I have seen was in Uk. Ok, I'm gonna stop whining 😉 Grüße 😉
It’s funny how we always talk about what it’s like to live "in Poland," but the story is almost always about big cities. In videos, it’s pretty much always someone talking about life in one of Poland’s major cities. But the truth is, most of Poland is made up of small towns and villages. A lot of people live outside the big urban centers. If you talk to someone from a small town, they’ll describe the country differently than someone from Gdańsk or Warsaw. In bigger cities, Poland feels more open, European, and cosmopolitan. But in smaller places, it’s definitely more conservative. And about learning the language-whether you’re here for six months or years, it’s worth the effort. You won’t get a better chance for such a solid "course" anywhere else. Plus, knowing another language is always a win.
It's hard for me to understand the weather complaints as Poland has all 4 seasons and each one of them is beautiful in its own way! I might complain about winters being too dark, autumns too wet, summers too hot and springs too unpredictable but that's the point of having 4 seasons :)
The film you watched is strange. Vomiting in the street? It happens rarely. Winter depression? Somehow for 1000 years Poles have managed it. Ukrainians are friendlier than Poles? I am currently raising Ukrainian youth, so I can see that it is not so! Polish is difficult? And Chinese is easy?
this is an old video 😁 at this point he is already at the stage of learning Polish because he wants to live in Poland, start a family and raise children 😂 in a few months his worldview has changed 😂 this is the hidden danger of Poland 🤣🤣🤣
There is nothing to think about. Move to Poland. Countryside close to big city. Tomorrow. You are going to love it. About salaries. Poles are famous for complaining. In the last 10 years minimum wage went from 300 euros to 1000 euros. Prices of some things same time went up twice, other less, but same like everywhere else in Europe. I was moving out of Poland in 2016, gas price was 1.20 euro, here 1.40. Now its 1.30 down there, here in the Netherlands where I am for 10 years now, is 2.00. I was renting 50m2 appartement in Katowcie for 250 euros inclusive, now it costs are around 300 euros. Here it went like from 450 euros to 900. Complaining is just our national sport.
The wage is literally not true. You're talking about gross payment, which is 4300 PLN net 3262 PLN which is 766,34 Euro. That's nonsense. With inflation and EU literally trying to murder itself it's pennies.
Guys, as we are now living in the new era(AI), let me give you little suggestion(this made me learn more of german language in a way both fun and quick):1 Learn pronounciation of chosen language, so you can read it and vocalize it from the chat. 2. Choose the topic(kitchen utensils and it's usage for example). 3. Give your GPT task of roleplaying your friend and simulate him chating with you about the topic. Tell him to write his answers in your own native language, and also exactly same answer repeated in foreign langauge. This way you will learn as by-effect of natural conversation instead of doing boring artificial exercises. 4. First time you have written good working instruction for GPT, copy it and save in .txt file, so you don't need to write it again when GPT will break. If you tried this instruction or similar, please share what do you think in the comment :)
the Asian guy is clueless when it comes to European culture. 90% of Europe is exactly like he describes Poland, the only difference is the hot weather in Spain that affects pople's mood to be more talkative.
8:02 is he telling that buses in america are on time? ha ,ha , ha. 12:18 I have no problem being east europe because the west europe does not exist any more , I think that east europe now is a better place. 14:29 you are lacky because the last years were exceptionally worm in europe. 18:46 ukrainians who kome to poland say that poles are nicer 22:08 spain has the most anty male laws in the world. in spain if a women accuse male of rape he goes to jail without trial. in one spanish town 80% of wives rid of husbands in this way. if you are saine do not go to spain.
I can be easter od central Europe, for me it's not a problem because i see our development since 20 years. Wes is an ignorant. He even want to change our language becuase it is too dificult to learn ;) He was complaining in other videos that people aren't friendly and don't want to talk with him, but how? Not everyone know english and want to speak in foreing lanugage. I wrote these thing's to him and that is lack of respect to your new country (not learning language). So now he is learning polish and acting that he is thinking that it is lack of respect not leaning lanugage of country where he live in. These wasn't his thoughts. He is fake in my opinion.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie ❤ z Poznania. Do zobaczenia 😊
Jak to nie ma tłumaczenia na polski? Przecież jest dostępny, jak najbardziej. Trzeba włączyć napisy, a następnie w ustawieniach wybrać język tłumaczenia automatycznego.
Tbh, I unsubscribed when You've left Your Polish viewers for quite a long time (of course, I get it that everyone is busy and there are many other things to do than just RUclips). But now I've subscribed again.

The last thing is, what nation can hold their liquor... Non if you drink too much. My honest opinion. But, I lived in UK for 3 years, 7 in Germany, 15 in Italy and the most "unpleasetaries" on the streets after weekends I have seen was in Uk.
Ok, I'm gonna stop whining 😉
Grüße 😉
The problem is not that it is cold in winter, but that it is dark in winter and that the days are short.
Thanks for Your videos guys😁👍🤗
The film you watched is strange. Vomiting in the street? It happens rarely. Winter depression? Somehow for 1000 years Poles have managed it. Ukrainians are friendlier than Poles? I am currently raising Ukrainian youth, so I can see that it is not so! Polish is difficult? And Chinese is easy?
this is an old video 😁 at this point he is already at the stage of learning Polish because he wants to live in Poland, start a family and raise children 😂 in a few months his worldview has changed 😂 this is the hidden danger of Poland 🤣🤣🤣
true
15:50 sounds like Chicago, entire Midwest and East coast actually.
I can honestly say that winters and summers are much harsher in Chicago and the Midwest than they are in Poland.
If you tried this instruction or similar, please share what do you think in the comment :)
hey Today in my place in the Center of Poland we had like 9deg C.
the Asian guy is clueless when it comes to European culture.
18:46 ukrainians who kome to poland say that poles are nicer
22:08 spain has the most anty male laws in the world. in spain if a women accuse male of rape he goes to jail without trial. in one spanish town 80% of wives rid of husbands in this way. if you are saine do not go to spain.
This guy comes across as arogant, ignorant and - frankly speaking - not really bright. I wouldn't cry if he decides to leave Poland.
I liked him in the beggining but now i see how "american" he is, now I have the same opinion about him
Actually, he started to learn Polish and wants to stay in Poland.
@@ewelinawu7649 in one video he said he is thinking about Spain, few months ago he didn't like Spain because of people, now he want to leave there....
I've watched a few of his movies and I get the impression that he is offended that the world doesn't revolve around him just because he came from USA.
As a NotSoYung polish man, I Love You RLY!
I prefer winters, but real winters like they used to be -17 ℃ or even -20 ℃, not just like now.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie ❤ z Poznania. Do zobaczenia 😊
Jak to nie ma tłumaczenia na polski? Przecież jest dostępny, jak najbardziej. Trzeba włączyć napisy, a następnie w ustawieniach wybrać język tłumaczenia automatycznego.
@ZenonJot
Is drinking in public illegal? Yes. Do ppl still do it? YES a lot.
Siemaneczko :D
Siema :)
in winter it should be cold...its winter should snow and should be possible to sky...
Tbh, I unsubscribed when You've left Your Polish viewers for quite a long time (of course, I get it that everyone is busy and there are many other things to do than just RUclips). But now I've subscribed again.
Obcokrajowy narzekają na jezyk a dlaczego my polacy mamy we wlasnym kraju dostosowywac sie do emigranta smieszne czasem go ogladam te minusy emigrantow mnie bulwersuja
W punkt 👍💯
i live in UK. People do not smile, people do not talk randomly to each other. Grim faces all the time. And they complain about Poles buahahaha
Similar in any country I visited. WTF
The world is big. You don't like the Polish free way.
I dont like them 😒
Don't even consider to move to Poland considering earning l
Polish wages. You must have achieved level of western salaries to live confortably
