- Plumbers do you do this test? Back after the Easter break with a day in the life of a plumber episode and the one job would of caught me out if i didn't do this plumbing tip and test this appliance correctly, its something I've seen misdiagnosed so many time in my plumbing career.
Also we have a simple plumbing jobbing thrown in there, i get asked why i do plumbing when i'm a trained gas engineer, the reason is simple, plumbing repairs can be simple and you can earn good money from doing them!
Lastly we have a not so simple gas run to do after the customer smelt gas in there property. Cadent was called and found the old steel pipework leaking. There was no easy way to get the pipework back in, check out how we get around this one
Thank you all again for your support we are getting closer and closer to 10k!!

Just subbed to help you out. I hate all the emails and phone alerts! Great videos. I like your honesty showing all the problems you get. Same as I do. Plumbing and heating is so unpredictable..
The blackening on the wall behind that boiler on the left peaked my interest straight away.
Great videos and great delivery on what your doing. Didn't know that's where you use to work. I'm here just now living it up on lunch break haha. Enjoy the content and keep it up mate 🎉
Nice few jobs there Luke 🙌🏾
Thanks mate 🙌👍
Soldering with a heat mat behind never looks as good. You done well I recon.
Nothing wrong with replacing an expansion vessel. Nice big red tangible part, cheap on eBay, easy to install and no nasty surprises
Your a good young plumber i like watching your stuff
Thanks mate appreciate the support 🙌
Some serious aim with that LDF!
Good shot sir 😂👍
Yep my next door neighbor had this issue, i checked it for them and pointed out the issue with the schrader valve... They called vaillant who sent an engineer and he changed the whole expansion vessel under warranty.
Them steps look familiar 🤔 😂😂
Bostin them steps am…got big pair as well 😂
The 27 years never checked the bleed value on expansion. I usually fill to 1 bar then replaced..
Commercial lads kicking off saying don’t touch it it’s all commercial 😂 might of got that gas pipe right against the wood door frame at bottom
Don’t forget to stick me in the giveaway mate 👊👍
Nice one Luke 👍🏻
Thanks mate 👍👍
Hi Luke, If you put a smear of silicone gease on the schrader valve before you re inflate the vessel. You will hardly ever have to change a new core again mate👍👍
Thanks mate 👍
Good job
Thanks mate 🙌👍
put a ton of silicone sealant round the syphon backnut ,then if you ever go back to change the dump valve you can unscrew it from inside the cistern.
I can see why people do it but I don’t use silicone on toilets never have 👍
Thanx for taking time and effort to make these videos
No problem 👍
Just ordered up shader valve kit cheers for great video as always 👍
Thanks mate 🙌👍
remember the early ravenheats where it was impossible to reinflate the pressure vessel.
Old cdis are a pain to inflate to! But yea them ravenlunitic boilers was bad!
Yes I do! Ferroli as well can’t remember the model but the test point was at bottom, always failed 👍
modena or domina always had the vessel test point on the bottom🤦♂️@@bluebulldog_uk
A bit of an eyesore that kitchen pipe, but sometimes a man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do, and it gets their cooker up and running.
On that toilet I always just chuck those crappy straight through plastics bolts and fit the metal ones with the bolts that tighten on the cistern first, had a few of those plastic ones leak on me, think they work loose with movement.
One honest plumber
🙌👍
i very rarely change the prv, i just clean them up ,clean the brass seating silicone grease and put them back. also when i do change them i just change the internals unless its really bad.
I used to but not worth the callback if it doesn’t sit correctly once cleaned
Your tight you lol, I would of give 2 quotes for the re run then if they accepted the run they have for budget reasons then ad just do the neatest route lol good work love your channel
Thanks for support mate 🙌👍👍 I really wanted to do neater route but customer happy to have cooler back on, no more takeaways 😂
Well done checking and changing the expansion vessel valve, about 50% of the ones I pump each day need to be replaced. Unfortunately, spraying it with LDF like that and sealing it in with the dust cap will result in a rusty mess when its next opened! Tip of the day is to just spray the LDF on your finger, then just smear it over the end of the valve to stop it getting inside - i always use my electric pump to blow out the valve (using the pump like an air duster afterwards to clear any LDF or smeg out before replacing dust cap)
Nice tip Paul thanks 👍
Good episode this. Really enjoyed it… until I seen the working in the mess 😂😂😂😂♥️♥️
Trying to keep my word…I’m learning to tidy up mate 😂 it does make a massive different working without the clutter! 🙌👊
Don't worry Dan he trips up on his own shoes laces and that spider went to see luke to see how he does push fit
@@bluebulldog_uk Luke were did you get the battery pump you had the other day and is it any good
If you put a little silicone grease in the valve before you pump it up they usually don’t leak
Have to give it a try on next one 👍
We all need the tips, we learn everyday
Learned loads from you and heat king
I used change full prvs b4 learning to unscrew them and clean up! Same with pumps on a combi! B4 I knew how to just replace the head 20 years ago!!
Great video do you have a link to that pump looks ideal for ex

Love the idea of the up boost! You used it on unvented vessels yet? 3bars a pain with a footpump! Am considering getting the bigger one that’s £29.99
Not yet but will save my legs when I have to 👍
@@bluebulldog_uk brought the smaller one in end, used it on 4 vessels and barely dropped 1 bar on the battery
Stick a magnet onto the back of the pump….
Great shout that is 🙌👍
Let’s see it in the next vid bud or whenever your pumping up a vessel again
