Always put the v2 on there. Speeds up the install, futureproofs it, and gets it watertight without getting it 100% tightened, meaning if it leaks it can be tightened further, AND it doesnt kill the olive and force you to cut it off and put a new one. >:/
i have smart leak, smoke and monoxide carbon detectors in the whole house. alone with temperature and humidity meters. Managed to find a leaking cylinder upstairs before it shown up on my kitchen ceiling. Potentially prevented a ton of structural damages.
Perfect. I've been thinking about installing one of these for a while. I have one of stupid houses where the incoming main comes up though the concrete slab i'm going to have it rerouted soon to a more sensible location where I can also have a pressure reducer because we got 7 bar on a good day, higher at times. If something lets go.... which its likely to with that kind of pressure the flood waters will rise fast.

A great idea, except most incoming pipework is nowhere near a power outlet. I learnt basic DIY plumbing back in teh days of tech colleges, and it served me well saving money on all the small jobs around my house. So highly recommend people learn (also basic electrics and fault finding another skill to have). Well done for passing on your knowledge, as well as for entertaining videos
Would you be able to do a video soon please, on the subject of air gap inlet valves? Looking around, most water authorities seem to insist on them, but why are you still able to buy non air gap inlet valves? Are they mandatory or not in the UK?!
I would like to see you use a freezer kit on some live pipe, I have used them a few times and had no trouble even when soldering, most plumbers I meet have no faith in them, what do you think ?
love your videos and theres always time for a spot of golf! on the parent note, the sleeping gets better as the lil chap gets older. stick in their darling x

Great product. I look forward to their UK launch. I can’t wait for the live stream Q&A.

Lucky to have that kind of pressure.
Us poor Londoners are lucky to get 1.5😂
@@Sithehandyguy-London Not so, I'm in London, I get 5 bar and also need to reduce it.
Hi James where did you buy it ?
@plumberparts - where did you get the sensors and shut off valve as they are not launched in the UK yet 🤔

You can just run a long Micro USB cable from the nearest power outlet, or you can even use a power bank.
Are there any plumber merchants in the uk selling this? Does it have a back up for when the powers off? Cheers 👍🏻
Go direct to their website.
Sod's law you'd then get a leak!

congrats you ll never sleep fully again
I like the way this vid is titled "save a fortune" - yeah until you find out how much this bit of kit costs! Don't expect change from around £500!
That's a lot cheaper than a new ceiling, new carpet, loss of premium etc....I'd have thought that was obvious!
