Mate I feel for you what a day, those newer fords with the EcoBoost engines are nicknamed ecoboom 💥💥💥 for obvious reasons. Which engineer thought it was a good idea to immerse a timing belt in oil. Apparently it’s costing them hundreds of millions to fix, even when they redo the belts they leave the oil pump belt and that too is immersed in engine oil. Try to enjoy your weekend I know it will be hard. You’ll manage you always do.
Thanks for the support as always Charles, the old chain driven one's went for miles, I know the newer ones are more eco but at what reliability cost, have a great weekend
You are not alone my friend. And thanks to those, like you, who produce these videos and show their cockups and daily grief... It helps those of us, who don't produce content, that we are not alone either! It's not what happens to you, it's how you deal with it that is the struggle! Just another day in paradise lol!
Easy mistake to make when your under so much pressure. I'm glad you showed it on the video Tom as it's a reminder to everyone that these things can and do happen sometimes.
Sorry you got to deal with that mate, van problems are a nightmare but do get sorted in the end. We all get days like those, luckily its pretty rare! Chin up mate, tomorrow is a better day.
Hi Tom, yep got to admit I have made a similar mistake on more than one occasion, I’m sure we all do it and it never happens at a convenient time. Being without your van and all your tools and spare parts is always a nightmare and it’s impossible to get everything into the car. I feel your pain Tom, I have been there a good few times over the last 50 years or so but you will survive because we always do. Have a good weekend and I hope things improve for you next week, as always take care mate. 👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, it's just not the same working from a car or spare van, my van is like home almost, its a bit of an organised mess but everything has a place and I have most thing, it certainly effects me when things aren't there, have a great weekend
sorry about the van, it is the worst when your tools are not with you. the belts are a disaster for ford, and it not just the belts snaping, bits can come of the belt and they clog up the oil collector starving the engine of oil. what happened to ford, was the best vans once. if you change trv or rad valves, keep the tail ends if you dont use them. there good for the flexis on the taps. i dont like silicon under the basins. i use plumbers mate. never knew about the push fit to solvent adapter. handy.
What a day Tom, I’ve got a Ford Focus with a wet belt, worries me that it will fail, but losing your van is a right pain, hope you get sorted as soon as possible, take care 🤞👍🚽
Sorry to hear about the van Tom, I feel your pain. Not having your van is like turning up with an arm missing and as well as you try to prepare for your day there’ll always be that one thing you need and haven’t got, proper pita! Shame about that back panel too mate but that’s what I like about you and your channel, complete transparency👍🏻
Fair play for even filming today tom, sounds like a proper stinker of a day. Thanks for the heads up on the wet belt issue, I've got a 2020 custom but it's only done less than 30k miles, will definitely be keeping an eye on it
Top man Tom these things happen is from time to time with a larger crew of men it’s a matter of keeping calm and overcoming issues..we had the same problems with Ford changed all to Nissan primasters now and touch wood so far so good🙌🏻
Tough times with the van mate, mistakes happen to the best of us especially when your mind is being pulled in other directions Glad you had a good break, I’ve just got back from three weeks in the states, best decision ever
I have learned a thing today! Pushfit to solvent weld sockets, never knew they existed. Thought when you said that you were changing it to SW I assumed a macalpine mechanical fitting was nooooo leave it .... then was wat do I know! Every days a school day as we say lol. Have a great weekend mate
They are perfect when you need to bring chrome waste pipe out as well, it means everything can be glued behind and the chrome just pushes snuggly in the push fit end, thanks for watching Gary
Nightmare Tom, losing your van does mess with your head, hopefully Ford Uk make good on their warranty repair. I take my hat off to you for showing I mistake we have all made. Top bloke. 👏👏👏👏
What a rubbish day for you. Must say anyone can make a mistake and its very rare for you and you didn't attempt to hide it. Proper real life of a plumber Tom as normal, great work tomorrow is another day.
Glad you had a good holiday Tom and sorry about the van. I know a few that have had the same problem with them fords unfortunately. I felt your pain with that toilet cutting the back board, I've had a few moments over the years...some days try us all! 👍😎
Feel for you Tom, I drew around a stainless sink, measured 10mm in , then jigsawd, sink went straight through the worktop!!!!! Started work at 6am, didnt finish until 10pm, on a Friday !!!!!! Ohh do I not miss them days 😂 chin up fella, your doing a great job
O heck Tom . Well at least you had a good holiday. .👍 Not good news about your van .if that's not enough then your other van does it . Have heard a lot of things with these wet belt engine. .. Know what you mean with having no van .I used to have the day off when mine went into the garage .. Always thinking you have it in the van then realized you don't have your van 😯. We all make mistakes no matter how long you have been doing the job .just kick yourself 👍👍👍. Hope you get a loan van from them .
All way through I was thinking I bet he’s piped hot up to toilet but then Ouch! Easy sort like you said great content as always .good luck with the van .my transit broke down this week 3 days off road but got it back yesterday only £1300 plus 3 days hire van 😣
Head up mate, things here to test us. As I’ve said in a reply to somebody all vans have pros and cons lol. So many specialists out here 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️. Loving the videos keep them up, but still keep some time for yourself.
That’s life, what while the van’s wet belts are falling apart and if they alter the warranty, then you should be giving a chance to return the van’s,and get something else. Anyway the job looking ok ! Weekend is here hopefully you’ll be enjoying the football Looking forward to watching the next one Tom,👍👍👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Sorry to see that mate it’s all you need after your holiday, I was going to come away from Vauxhall to ford hoping they would be better as I’ve been having issues with the dpf and had loads of trips to the garage an still not fixed, I recon they must of said “sometimes you can only do what you can do” a few times building these vans 😂
My Ford has the old Euro 5 duratorc engine. I’ve let the lease over-run because I don’t want one of the newer ones. Glad you enjoyed your break, making it an annual event might be going too far, maybe make it bi-annual, haha.
If its any consolation ive done exactly the same. Mine was swapping a pan to a comfort height pan so knew I'd need to amend the cutout but yeah forgot about the plinth. Had to get a magic man out as the vanity was a fancy one but discontinued 🤦🏻
I was so annoyed with myself, it's so easy to lose concentration, like I say to the lads you can't just delete a mistake in this job, thanks for watching Chris
Chin up pal my transit broke down last week aswell the gearbox went got a brand new replacement on Tuesday but I think the mercedes sprinters are better build quality in my opinion
Possibly mate, I have always used it on basin wastes though, right or wrong, I tend not to use it on toilet components though, thanks for watching as always
I don't think it's a problem going on holiday mate, I think the big mistake is coming back. I can see why so many people buy static caravans to get away every other weekend. Great job as usual and you didn't have any option other than cut that flush pipe right on the bend. I often wondered, when I did plumbing, was I bodging or being inventive and skilful, I'll take the latter. Yes when I switched from Ford to Volvo, the service fromVolvo was just on another level (especially the choice and quality of free snacks and hot and cold drinks in the service waiting area) but I foolishly switched to VW and the standard of service is not brilliant. Glad you enjoyed your holiday mate and make sure you have another one before it's due.
I wish I'd stayed on holiday now, to be honest I've always had ford vans and they have been pretty reliable, these newer ones though don't seem to be as reliable though, have a great weekend mate 👍
And I thought my day was bad… Shame about the panel but at least a replacement is not too expensive. I was widening a doorway some years ago. I mis measured and cut the wall with the angle grinder about 300mm to wide. Spent the rest of the day bricking it back up again😢 Those wet belts are trouble. Fortunately my custom is chain driven.
Oh bloody hell Tom, you're really in the wars ain't ya at the min, hopefully it'll go up from here for you bud, I've actually not made that mistake yet, but it's bound to happen at least once
For any warranty purchases, the warranty duration should be whatever it was at date of purchase! Ridiculous if manufacture changes the warranty lenght after you purchase. I feel a class action case brewing in your van manufacturers case.
That is indeed how it should be, it is a common issue and the fact the vans are off the road for so long is unacceptable really, there aren't many ford centres that repair so vans are sent miles away to be fixed, thanks for watching as always mate
Ah mate, nightmare when your van is off the road,we have a temporary spare van but you never know what to put into it,as we do reactive maintenance which could involve anything and parts required,as you know.
Thanks for the support mate, we have a spare van but it was out already, it normally gets filled with rubbish as well, I spent an entire Saturday once cleaning it all out only to find it filled with rubbish again
Mate, looks like you had a day from hell! Start a day like that you know something will go wrong! Have made loads of whoopsies like that! Normally cutting the flush pipe wrong once I mark it 3 times!! Hope this week is better for you and you get the van sorted asap.
I can really feel for you with the miscut on the panel. I recently fitted a new front door and marked out for the letter box - marked lines around the outside of the letter box for overall position and then marked the cut lines inside these for the actual cut out. I 'should' have marked the internal cut lines with a sharpie so they were obvious. Got distracted and started cutting the door to the external lines!!!!!!!!!!!!! fortunately only on one edge before realising. Didn't want to buy a new door so cut the remaining correct lines correctly and fashioned a close fitting wooden insert to fill the void to the correct size and fitted with wood glue. Could have positioned the letter box differently but it would have looked odd not being central. Once sanded and painted you can't see the error ......... but I will always know it is there............ Shame about Ford - hope yours is sorted soon!
Thanks for the support John, it's so easy to get distracted for just a moment and then make a stupid mistake, I was so annoyed with myself, it sounds like you got over your problem very nicely
Hope you have a better time dealing with ford than my friend did his went south 4 months ago and its still not sorted and only 40k he reckons ford should be ashamed chin up mate
Ford should be ashamed, the problem is they don't seem to have the capability to fix all the issues at local centres, you should be able to take it to any garage and charge Ford
Ah man, as soon as I saw you draw that line for cutting the board behind the pan I knew what was going to unfold. We have all had that feeling after making a mistake. ❤️
Mine is on a 71 plate, but it was one of the later ones that year, it still has about 6 months left on the warranty, are 68 on wet belts or chain, chains are much more reliable
Hi Tom don’t beat yourself up mate we all have black days, glad to hear you had a good holiday, it’s good just to relax, I think I told you about my mate having his garage he will not touch Fords or Vauxhall vivaro vans any more, Fords the wet belt system is rubbish the belt slowly breaks down and can block the oil left pump before snapping leading other very expensive problems, I can’t believe Ford has not stopped using this system as it been around for years and the problems with it. The Vauxhall don’t have the wet belt system but have problems with injectors and other common problems, it’s cost my mate £££ he turns them away. The main dealers will try and get out of anything to their cost, the thing with the warranty at the time of you buying your vans should stand I believe it’s contractual at the time of buying so don’t let try to con you in some way. The school boy error we’ve all done it and guess what it will happen again as we are human and the best of us make these mistakes.
Thanks for the support as always mate, we have a had a few wet belt issues and ford have argued every time, we had one van break down within a week of new and they still argued about not wanting to pay for a courtesy vehicle, all they offered was a taxi home, shocking really when you think about the money involved, have a great weekend mate
Had my 2019 custom from new and from throughout its whole life it would very randomly start up badly and sound like a box of cans rattling about and idling poorly but it would only be for a few seconds then normal again... so weird and i never managed to get an audio of it so to this day i still dont know what it was... but at 90k miles i had the cam belt done and ive never heard it since, i even asked for the old cam belt just to see if anything looked odd on it... it looked brand new still?!?! Maybe these belts stretch slightly.. i cant see me getting another one
i asked my mecanic about them belts last week as i was lookin mine changed at 64k, he said he rang ford and they told him no need lol . think ill be making a call monday
It's not the warranty they've reduced Tom, they lowered the mileage amount for changing the wet belt. So yours maybe over their recommended mileage. Also did you get any braking issues prior to the ecoboom letting go?
There were no warning signs, the warranty on the belt is 100k on this van or 3 years, they used to be 150k. Ford have services it every year and within the oil has been changed every 20k as they said needed to be done, thanks for the support as always mate
Show me a man who has never made a mistake and I'll show you one who has never made anything. Bit of license with Einstien's quote but it was my old uncles kind words when I'd made an arse of something that I was supposedly 'helping' him with. I heard it a lot...
I'm assuming it is your business so how many people do you have working for you at the moment. Is it just you or do you have a partner who owns the business and how did you grow your business if you don't mind me asking. Obviously your work speaks for itself. great video by the way. what a nightmare. First day on my own with a van and the clutch went on a busy slip road it was terrifying 🤣
Thanks for the support Dean, it's a family business that we have built up, I think we employ around 31 people across all the trades as well as office staff, it's a bit of a long story to write down so I might explain in a future video more about the business, have a great weekend
What a pain I’m afraid it’s a common problem they should have kept the pinto engine they are bomb proof had 5 transits great vans how big is your company is it yours or do you work for them
Thanks for the support as always Kevin, it's a family run business, I think we employ around 31 people across all trades but my job is only to look after the plumbing side, have a great weekend
Keep rolling with the punches Tom , you've lived to tell the tale thats the main thing. Vans are a pain if they're not getting broken into they're breaking down. Fords are garbage these days and their dealers do nothing to improve that image.
Thanks for the support Richard, I'm always worried out mine getting broken into so I park it so close to the walls, it made it a pain to push out the way when it wouldn't start
Thanks for the support as Peter, I liked my old original transit to be honest, it was a bit heavy on fuel but it pulled well and never really broke, have a great weekend
All new vans are garbage. My new Peugeot was in for 8 months then another 3 months shortly after. Only vans I've not heard of having problems is the vw transporters.
Will never drive a Ford. You won't see me in anything but a toyota hiace or Hilux. Toyota's are reliable and everyone drives them here in Australia. All the best mate cheers
Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated, I think Fords are the most common van on the roads over here, the older ones used to pretty reliable but the newer ones not so much
I was really struggling for space in the house and it was pouring it down outside, it just made sense for me to drop the worktop on the unit on this job, thanks for the support as always
Mate I feel for you what a day, those newer fords with the EcoBoost engines are nicknamed ecoboom 💥💥💥 for obvious reasons. Which engineer thought it was a good idea to immerse a timing belt in oil. Glad you enjoyed your holiday.
It was fantastic mate, thanks for watching as always, have a great weekend
Sorry you got to deal with that mate, van problems are a nightmare but do get sorted in the end. We all get days like those, luckily its pretty rare! Chin up mate, tomorrow is a better day.
Thanks for the support Pedro, it is greatly appreciated
We’ve all had those days Tom Have a good weekend
Thanks for the support as always Keith
Yep ! Done that, forgot about the plinth , now I mark them in situ. In the words of D-ream …. Things can only get better! 👍
Thanks for the support mate, I was so annoyed with myself, I certainly will be more careful next time
sorry about the van, it is the worst when your tools are not with you. the belts are a disaster for ford, and it not just the belts snaping, bits can come of the belt and they clog up the oil collector starving the engine of oil. what happened to ford, was the best vans once.
if you change trv or rad valves, keep the tail ends if you dont use them. there good for the flexis on the taps. i dont like silicon under the basins. i use plumbers mate. never knew about the push fit to solvent adapter. handy.
Thanks for the support Tony, ford aren't the vans they once were, good tip with the rad tails
What a day Tom, I’ve got a Ford Focus with a wet belt, worries me that it will fail, but losing your van is a right pain, hope you get sorted as soon as possible, take care 🤞👍🚽
Thanks for the support as always Peter, it's like losing your office I think, it's just stupid stuff you don't have it slows the jobs down
We’ve all had those days mate. When it rains it bloody pours ….
It certainly does, thanks for watching as always Andrew, have a great weekend
Sorry to hear about the van Tom, I feel your pain. Not having your van is like turning up with an arm missing and as well as you try to prepare for your day there’ll always be that one thing you need and haven’t got, proper pita! Shame about that back panel too mate but that’s what I like about you and your channel, complete transparency👍🏻
Thanks for the support as always mate, my van is like my office, not having it really slows down the job and it just doesn't feel right some how
That overflow hole on basin frying my head 😂😂
I don't get why it was off centre, Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
great video Tom , doing almost the identical job next week , youve reminded me to double check my measurements before i cut anything 😀
Thanks for the support as always Chris, it's certainly a mistake I won't make again, have a great weekend
Fair play for even filming today tom, sounds like a proper stinker of a day.
Thanks for the heads up on the wet belt issue, I've got a 2020 custom but it's only done less than 30k miles, will definitely be keeping an eye on it
Thanks for the support as always James, the wet belts are trouble, get the oil changed when it's serviced, apparently it can help the belt

Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated, the fords are nice van just not very reliable
I stayed away from ford for the belt issue, it’s easy to get stressed, it’s only a piece of wood and I hope you get your van back soon, great job!!!!
Thanks for the support Darren, it is greatly appreciated
Tough times with the van mate, mistakes happen to the best of us especially when your mind is being pulled in other directions
Glad you had a good break, I’ve just got back from three weeks in the states, best decision ever
Thanks for the support as always Danny, hope you had a great holiday, I've always wanted to go to the states

Nightmare Tom, losing your van does mess with your head, hopefully Ford Uk make good on their warranty repair.
I take my hat off to you for showing I mistake we have all made. Top bloke. 👏👏👏👏
Thanks for the support as always Andy, there not arguing so far, just hope it's not too long
Made that mistake myself a couple of times Tom. 9.5 times out of 10 that panel goes straight down to the floor. Easily done!
Thanks for the support Paul, I was so annoyed with myself, I certainly will make double sure next time
Dont beat yourself up tom these things happen. Hope you get sorted with a van soon. Have a decent weekend mate.👍👍
Thanks for the support as always mate, it is greatly appreciated, hope you have a great weekend too
What a rubbish day for you. Must say anyone can make a mistake and its very rare for you and you didn't attempt to hide it.

Thanks for the support as always mate, it goes wrong so quick in our job, there's no control alt delete when it all goes wrong either
I've made the same mistake once on one of those panels, easily done when you get distracted.
Hopefully I won't do it again, thanks for the support as always Paul
O heck Tom .
Well at least you had a good holiday. .👍
Not good news about your van .if that's not enough then your other van does it .
Have heard a lot of things with these wet belt engine. ..

They are expensive, luckily mine is under warranty but it is a pain
Head up mate, things here to test us. As I’ve said in a reply to somebody all vans have pros and cons lol. So many specialists out here 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️. Loving the videos keep them up, but still keep some time for yourself.
Thanks for the support mate, it sis greatly appreciated, I love making the videos, I'm so pleased you enjoy watching them
I feel your pain regarding the wet belt issue, how Ford decided to fit these belts in commercial vehicle, God only knows. Have a good weekend Tom.
Thanks for the support as always Steve, it's super annoying especially as we rely on these vehicles to work and to pay the bills, have a great weekend
That’s life, what while the van’s wet belts are falling apart and if they alter the warranty, then you should be giving a chance to return the van’s,and get something else. Anyway the job looking ok ! Hey Tom, it’s not the end of the world a little brain lapse it happens to us all mate.👍👍👍just do your best 😎
Thanks for the support Neil, I was so annoyed with myself
At least you enjoyed your holiday, it is important to have time out.
Thanks for the support as always mate, it was nice to just switch off and relax, have a great weekend 👍
Good video Tom sorry about your van mate , make sure ford lend you a van.
I had to have one of those merc sprinter vans last time, it was like driving a bus, thanks for the support as always mate
Ford are lovely vans to try, so quiet and smooth, they just need to go back to chain engines, thanks for the support mate
My Ford has the old Euro 5 duratorc engine. I’ve let the lease over-run because I don’t want one of the newer ones. Glad you enjoyed your break, making it an annual event might be going too far, maybe make it bi-annual, haha.
Thanks for the support as always Martin, every two years is about right for a week off, have a great weekend mate 👍
Hard to believe that the van is broken same time as the other,
I would be serious pissed off,
You probably should of took the day off Tom 😩😩
😎👍🤜
Thanks for the support as always Tony, jobs still needed doing, I was going to take the spare van but it was already taken
If its any consolation ive done exactly the same. Mine was swapping a pan to a comfort height pan so knew I'd need to amend the cutout but yeah forgot about the plinth. Had to get a magic man out as the vanity was a fancy one but discontinued 🤦🏻

Chin up pal my transit broke down last week aswell the gearbox went got a brand new replacement on Tuesday but I think the mercedes sprinters are better build quality in my opinion
Thanks for the support Jay, I think the Mercs are good vans, have a great weekend mate
@@jayhart8183 I had a merc sprinter long wheel Base as a hire whilst my transit was being repaired last year. Apart from the length best van ever.
I knew straight away you were going to do that. Don’t worry I’ve done it also.
I was so annoyed with myself, thanks for watching as always, have a great weekend
I use radiator tails and then service valves, saves you having to file the ends flat
Good tip that, Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
Do I detect more silicone use lately?😁. Top job as always.👍👍👍 We all make mistakes. It’s how you overcome that matters. You sorted it.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Possibly mate, I have always used it on basin wastes though, right or wrong, I tend not to use it on toilet components though, thanks for watching as always
Tom, I love this channel. 🙏🏼
I don't think it's a problem going on holiday mate, I think the big mistake is coming back. I can see why so many people buy static caravans to get away every other weekend. He who's never made a mistake has never made anything.
True that Anthony, Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
Difficult to be perfect all the time mate 👍
Thanks for the support as always mate, I am a long way from perfect, I was just annoyed with myself at this mistake, have a great weekend 👍
And I thought my day was bad… Shame about the panel but at least a replacement is not too expensive. I was widening a doorway some years ago. I mis measured and cut the wall with the angle grinder about 300mm to wide. Spent the rest of the day bricking it back up again😢
Those wet belts are trouble. Fortunately my custom is chain driven.
Thanks for the support as always Darren, the chain driven engines are the best
Oh bloody hell Tom, you're really in the wars ain't ya at the min, hopefully it'll go up from here for you bud, I've actually not made that mistake yet, but it's bound to happen at least once
Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
chill tom you do a fantastic job dont beat yourself up.shit happens.
Thanks for the support as always Lawrence, it is greatly appreciated, have a great weekend
For any warranty purchases, the warranty duration should be whatever it was at date of purchase! Ridiculous if manufacture changes the warranty lenght after you purchase. I feel a class action case brewing in your van manufacturers case.
That is indeed how it should be, it is a common issue and the fact the vans are off the road for so long is unacceptable really, there aren't many ford centres that repair so vans are sent miles away to be fixed, thanks for watching as always mate
only cosmetic mate, easily done easily sorted. have a nice weekend!
Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
Nice vid
Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
We all have days like that 😩
It’s the same when you do van swap it’s a nightmare
Thanks for the support Andrew, I was so annoyed with myself, it was one of those days where you think you should have stayed in bed
take care mate
Thanks for the support as always Craig, have a great weekend
@@PlumbLikeTom You just have to remember all the thousands of jobs you skilfully get right and accept the occasional human glitch is going to happen.
Don't worry Tom, everyone makes mistakes. I would stick to VW Vans, I find them much more reliable.
Thanks for the support Max, it is greatly appreciated
Love your videos as always, just wondering what year your van is as I have a 68 plate that's done 80 odd thousand and it's always a worry. ❤️
@@PlumbLikeTom Yeah the 68 does have a wet belt, I have a full service every year so keeping my fingers crossed
25:28 you poor sod I really feel for you on this one 😥
I was so annoyed with myself, thanks for watching as always mate, it is greatly appreciated
I think it's a bad design, they are nice vans, just not as reliable as they need to be for work horses, thanks for the support
We’ve all done that one Tom.
Thanks for the support as always mate, I was so annoyed at myself, have a great weekend
i asked my mecanic about them belts last week as i was lookin mine changed at 64k, he said he rang ford and they told him no need lol . think ill be making a call monday
It is an expensive job if they do break, there was no warning sign either, thanks for the support Steve
Horrible been without your van. Never have anything it’s like loosing an arm
It certainly makes the job a lot harder, it's just small stupid stuff you forget you need until you don't have it, thanks for watching mate
We have all dropped a bollock mate.
Thanks for the support as always mate, I was so annoyed with myself on this one, have a great weekend
Head up Tom, shows ur character mate to crack on
Thanks for the support as always mate, it is greatly appreciated, have a great weekend
“The man that never made a mistake never made anything “ Happens to us all Tom. Annoying about your van.
Very true that mate, thanks for the support as always
A Ford van 😬😬😬😬 will never drive another one
I take it you had a problem with yours's, thanks for watching mate
Show me a man who has never made a mistake and I'll show you one who has never made anything. Bit of license with Einstien's quote but it was my old uncles kind words when I'd made an arse of something that I was supposedly 'helping' him with. I heard it a lot...
Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
You could have just edited the mistake out but all credit mate this is what happens on jobs from time to time.
Thanks for the support as always mate, I try to show the good and the bad on the channel including the mistakes and mishaps, have a great weekend
Felt for ya tom , join my club 😮, one thing mate you won't do it again mate , nice job 👍
I hope I won't Gary, thanks for the support as always mate
I'm assuming it is your business so how many people do you have working for you at the moment. Is it just you or do you have a partner who owns the business and how did you grow your business if you don't mind me asking. Obviously your work speaks for itself. great video by the way. what a nightmare. First day on my own with a van and the clutch went on a busy slip road it was terrifying 🤣
Thanks for the support Dean, it's a family business that we have built up, I think we employ around 31 people across all the trades as well as office staff, it's a bit of a long story to write down so I might explain in a future video more about the business, have a great weekend
@@PlumbLikeTom thanks for the reply. I think people would like that I know I would. Thanks, you to
I think wet belts should be changed at 30k no matter what ford's say just when it's still under warranty it's upto fords
That is true, ford have serviced the van and they aren't arguing so far, Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
Mate we’ve all been there 😮, at some point 🙄
Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
Keep rolling with the punches Tom , you've lived to tell the tale thats the main thing. Vans are a pain if they're not getting broken into they're breaking down. Fords are garbage these days and their dealers do nothing to improve that image.
Thanks for the support Richard, I'm always worried out mine getting broken into so I park it so close to the walls, it made it a pain to push out the way when it wouldn't start
Facepalm moment that one Tom.
Thanks for the support as always Tom, I was so annoyed with myself, have a great weekend mate
So many companies are changing their terms of services or warranties without regard to what you signed up for .
That is true Dave, it just seems unfair and unethical to me, thanks for the support as always 👍
Doesn’t help stressing over that bloody van 🙏
Thanks for the support as always Wayne, it took my mind off the job, I was so annoyed with myself, have a great weekend mate
Hi Tom, those eco boost engines are nightmare built by peugeot apparently. I’m in similar situation what would your preferred van be?
Thanks for the support as Peter, I liked my old original transit to be honest, it was a bit heavy on fuel but it pulled well and never really broke, have a great weekend
Good old Ford😂
Indeed, thanks for the support Nigel
Wet belts are a terrible idea I’d never by a vehicle with one.
It certainly doesn't seem to be the best design, thanks for watching as always mate
Measure twice cut once
Very true Andy, Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
All new vans are garbage. My new Peugeot was in for 8 months then another 3 months shortly after. Only vans I've not heard of having problems is the vw transporters.
I've heard the vw's are good, Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
Did you have to buy a whole cistern unit to replace..
No, just the front panel, they sent white out which just added to my pain, thanks for the support mate
Will never drive a Ford. You won't see me in anything but a toyota hiace or Hilux. Toyota's are reliable and everyone drives them here in Australia. All the best mate cheers
Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated, I think Fords are the most common van on the roads over here, the older ones used to pretty reliable but the newer ones not so much
Why don’t you fit the tap and waste before you fit the basin
I was really struggling for space in the house and it was pouring it down outside, it just made sense for me to drop the worktop on the unit on this job, thanks for the support as always
I'd ask for a Toyota courtesy vehicle
I got given merc sprinter last time, it was like driving a bus, Thanks for the support mate, it is greatly appreciated
