Make sure there’s no contract on the eld.. if there is, even if you close the account you still have to pay until the the contract is over..😢

I know this is an older video I watched the video originally when it was uploaded , at that time we had keep trucking (motive) in our trucks . Now re watching it because we are considering using Verizon’s ELD system . I’m just curious (and this may be a question for jade) at the time you guys got switched to Verizon ELD did they say that you have to have at least 5 trucks in order to use there ELD service ?

If you are or select off duty and you use your truck for personal use when you go to drive will it start running a clock as if you’re working or do you have to manually put yourself into service? I wouldn’t want to be dinged if I was pulling my horse trailer for personal use not knowing it was showing me working.

Is it wireless or do I need to have a obd port to plug it in . I drive a 95 international it’s exempt but I’m tired of paper logs I have no way to plug a regular Eld into my truck .

Our fleet runs geotab, and it sux... disconnects all the time, and gps doesnt track well constantly having to manually input info. Dont use geotab. Samsara is ok though I have used it and it works good, in my experience anyway.
You can go with TruckX. Perfect GPS tracking with other features like Fault Code and Share Load.
recently truckx got delisted from fmcsa because they used to edit logs and shit. I would recommend Motive

If your not using a DOT certified sleeper . You can not log sleeper birth only on duty and off duty selections

This company did he's promoting if you're a company driver and you don't have to pay for this stuff I'm sure it works fine for you but let me tell you it's more than $300 a month to keep the stuff in your truck and that's ridiculous as an owner-operator I don't want any more bills than I have to I use Garmin for my logs it's free and it works just fine

Its Verizon connect but now a days it sucks with connectivity and its support is not 24*7. I would suggest going for Motive Eld and camera

That’s a good question…. I don’t know , I know the admin back at home base as that power but I don’t know about the driver .
Yes you can edit the drive log from a computer. For example Bennii put sleeper brith with we first got the ELD and I have to go in and adjust it because it wasn’t giving him time back after his 10hour reset.
@@truckingwithbennii you can also edit from the app. Go to logs and then event and stops you will see edit/add

No you don't. And they install it for you. I acted like I wasn't interested and they waived the install fee

KT is .... guys make sure you plan to use them ALL OF YOUR CONTRACT. If you do a 12 month contract and decide to stop after even one day. You will be charged the entire amount (12 months) paid in full. Just a heads up.
