No, but if u know ur going to take a while I would just go off duty or sleeper birth. U can also use yard movement. It helps to not use the on duty time. For the week not the day. As u already know when u start the day u have 16 hours to run 12 or 14 to run 11. 16hrs to drive 12 for California properties only.
If u log off the truck on the app and continue driving. It still continues to track every mile but it will be unassigned movement. When u log back in it will ask u about the unassigned segments. U will need to either add them or not claim them as ur movements
I'm new to Samsara. I used to use Keep Trocking (KP)app. When I was on KP, I used to take my 10 hour rest on Sleeper Birth then, when heading back to the yard i just do my Post trip and log off. I'm using Samsara for the first time. I went to SB for my 10 hour rest while sleeping. Now after I woke up, it shows that I'm in violation. Why is that ? How can I fix it?
So u took ten off and after the ten it shows ur in violation? Or it shows violation if u move? how many days have u been on u might of gone through all ur HOS and will need a 34hr reset.
Also when u log in each day bwfore goi g on duty, make sure to always check your HOS the blue button the acreen with the circls. To see u have all ur hours available before going on duty and doing your pre trip. Always make sure u have completed either your 10 each day or 34 at the end of the day. Before u start driving. Cause u can always edit on duty but not driving time, and u will have to start all over.
@@MrElmeromero2009 OK, let me explain you my driving pattern when I was using (KP/ Motive) for 3 years straight. I go from PA to MA round trip 3 times per week. 1- (Pre) in PA. 2- (SB) in MA. No Post/No Pre. Just 10H rest. 3- (Post) in PA. 10H. 4- (pre) in PA. 5- (SB) in MA. No Post/No Pre. Just 10H rest. 6- (Post) in PA. 10H. And so on and so on 'till my 34H reset. Same pattern all year long. No problem at all while on (KP/Motive). But using Samsara yesterday for the first time, while doing my 10H rest in MA, before the 10H was available, it was showing Violation, then Warning on my Driving & Shift clock. As soon I got my 10H back while on (SB), all the Violation & warnings desapeared & got fresh clock to start driving again. I called my dispatcher so he can check my driving log on his server, and he said everything looks normal on his end, nothing unusual at all. Is that normal on Samsara? Another thing, while doing a Pre/Post, I don't see the typical question. Air brake test, Tire preassure, light, etc. Just to take 4 mandatory (required) pictures of the truck
@@GILLETE32 so the violation shows to warn u so u won't be going on duty or driving the truck once u have 10hrs that's when it disappears and gives u the hrs. Also each platform is different and here on samsar u have to create a DVIR the green button. Put pre trip and if u have any defects then u can add it in the discretion and add photos as well. Then if it's safe to drive u can certify it. U will need to do a pre and post for each pice of equipment u use each day. I also have a video oh how to create a DVIR
Spend more time doing inputs seems like a ball ache.. is there a driver training video or information on how to use and improve your driver style / safety and driver score records.
To improve ur driving score u have to, not speed watch ur harsh breaking it actually depends on ur companies safety set up. Some have thing adjusted way up that there's no way to get a good score.

You need to be off duty and logged in to a vehicle to use it and when u stop and move Gain make sure to put it back on PC to start the drive again

Instead of going off duty, you put it on sleeper birth. Off duty time is when ur away from the truck.
