Speed cameras just encourage people to slow down when they see the camera, not because they care about driving within the speed limit.
I bet 95% of people speed up again when they pass the camera.

Yes many do that with mobile speed cameras too. Most wonder how they have still got a ticket through the post I'm sure. Some drivers are not very bright.

I never realised this is the guy that does Car S.O.S
I have learned that here in Germany they paint numbers in black on white, surrounded by a red circle. If you keep the number on your dashboard lower than that, the camera doesn't release.
And if there is a sign with diagonal lines, just accelerate to the highest number on your dashboard.

Just use your brain, eyes, mirrors and fast reaction work for me 35 years driving no ticket.
Then u sometimes get unlucky scenarios. I was over taking going into a slower speed area and got caught cuz I couldn't see the van focusing on overtaking

@@rajindernijjer No basically the mobile van was ahead of me, sort off hidden Ngl, and I was focused on overtaking fast in a slow car, hence I floored it and as I was focused and vision blocked till I was past, I was caught

Can't you just use Waze to tell you where's speed cameras are? Except, you should buy the one with spectrum analyzer, which is cool.

I need a car that built from using low radar reflective materials like the one used in F22
matte black car...black as hell, black headlight interiros, usually aftermarket headlights...
driving a white car is the radars best friend...easy to measure the speed.

I’m not worried about fixed cameras. I want to be able to detect hand held laser ones, but they’re illegal in the uk and the penalties are harsh if caught with a jammer.
Exactly you never know where and when they are there
your allowed to detect them your just not allowed to jam the signal. you can jam them then slow down to the limit and turn the jammer off and let them record you doing the limit🤣🤣 if caught ya will get fucked like ya say.

Useless in America, we don't have speed cameras because in traffic court you need an officer there to testify against you, if you get ticketed by a camera and challenge it in court it will always get thrown out because a camera can't testify against you...
Here in NYC, camera are being installed literally every few block FML

ainulzero it jams the signal used by a laser speed gun. It shows up an error message on the gun to the user

Surely if a device recognises a radar signal the signal has already bounced back to the radar gun and assessed the speed which is too late

Life is not as simple as staying below the limit, which I try to do. Unfortunately, the human brain is not perfect and we make mistakes and mistakes cost money, which the cameras/police capitalise on. These devices can be seen as extensions of our available memory and reaction time, helping us actually stay legal and ‘safe’ from being busted due to a temporary moment of unintended error.
Just avoid 15 tickets you break even
That radar unit is not a speed camera.

none of these are detectors. They are POI systems.
This is stupid, why not just monitor the radar emitted from the cameras like radar detectors do here in the states? Fifteen hundred pounds is a lot for a simple radar detector.

If you get caught by a speed camera, it's probably because you're driving above the speed limit!

Or you could just not go faster than the speed limit and you'll never have to worry about speed cameras again. Granted speed limits in the UK especially are rediculusly and unreasonablely slow.

is that Tim Shaw,? he's a knob isn't he, any low budget TV show anf he's on it. Speed Cameras are simple cash machine, easy money and easy work for the Bobbies, sooo much easier than catching criminals, such as theives, muggers, burglars and the rest.
They are unmanned though,have nothing to do with the police and the money goes to the government,the Police don't get a penny from this.The police are still able to go after thieves,muggers and burglars with every resource they have.
If you don't want to give to this 'easy money' scheme,than don't speed.It's not rocket science is it?

It's reasonable to assume that the presenter hasn't had any family member killed by an idiot going far too fast thinking he/she is on a race track. Cameras focus peoples attention. At the end of the day some drivers don't think that the rules apply to them. If only the public could see what happends when crazy speed and an idiot combine, body parts all over the place like a horror movie. Remember it's a voluntary tax, don't speed and you never pay a penny.
Abide by the law and you wouldn't need them :)

so would you consider 30mph on a highway to be safe??? everyone ignores it and drives about 70-80mph even the police... well until month end... (this when the police department have to fill their speeding ticket quota)
Well, few years ago I was going to work on motorway, there was a motorcycle crashed on guardrail the driver and the bike flew over the guardrail and hit the tree and the driver were killed. There was no speed camera or police to stop him, but clearly something else did.
But if you break the speed limit then you have deserved your ticket, and like I said the cameras are there for reason. And the cameras are always fair places, like you can clearly see them and usually there is a traffic sign to inform you about the cameras. And if you are still enough stupid to break the speed limit and get caught, you really can´t blame cameras or police about that.
and how do you know the motorcyclist was breaking the speed limit??? i also have a story for you... a few years back a motorcyclist was riding on his bike at the speed limit but it was raining, the guy went around a corner, lost control and decapitated himself on a cable (the police car was right behind him).... city streets and on back roads or any roads where people is around i can agree on speed limits BUT on the highway they make no logic....
