I have a really big fear of motorways. I never used to be as a kid and I’ve never had any bad experiences on there. I have driven a bit on the motorway. However whenever I actually do it and whenever I’m a passanger I get really scared and start shaking
I’m having panic attack every time I have to overcome a lorry. It’s awful 😢
Good for her getting over her fears
Same happened with me, heart just pumps like crazy. We will get there
I used to like driving on Motorways back in my home country in Iran and travelled to many places with my car but ever since I moved to the UK I get panic attacks whenever I'm on motorways. So this is how I feel; I see an endless wide long road in which I have to drive 70 miles. I cannot stop wherever I want and once entered it that's it, there's no way back! All of these plus constantly checking Sat Nav to not miss the exit make me anxious and sometimes I become light headed which scares the hell out of me (it happened today!). I really don't know why this had started happening to me. I never even thought of these things back in the day and would just enjoy my ride but now it puts me off travelling and seeing new places and I hate it. I need to overcome it, this is not who I used to be!
The more you go on the motorway 🛣 the more confident you are and the less your anxiety becomes
Same people won’t understand it’s uncomfortable
I love motorway driving. Considering I do it 4 days a week. Nothing more satisfying than blasting past bad drivers driving top cars with my banger Corsa haha
Mr Pricky is driving as we speak, via bus to the nearest MoneyGram
These comments show people really don't get mental health, until it's you. I am scared of going on motorways, it has come out of the blue. As a younger man I was into big fast Japanese motorbikes. Last one I owned was a GSX1100R. It would top out at 170mph plus and accelerated like the Starship Enterprise and my party piece (I was a complete prick) was by the time I reached the end of the slip road joining the motorway I was doing as fast as I could. Sometimes this was over 130mph ! That was many years ago, I am not proud of it but I have grown up, too much it seems. That's why I am here, looking for help to get my confidence back so I can drive normally on a motorway again.
She probably would've died of cardiac arrest if she drove in India
Here's some tips for beating the fear of driving
1) Take control of your life.
2) Learn about the power of your mind.
3) Walk in in the tracks of people who have already overcome the fear.
I got these tips from the Roys Quick Fix (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the most helpful course on success that I have ever seen.
I certainly agree with a couple of others have written - it's not as easy than it sounds to beat the fear of driving.
You should be aware of this and take advice from experts. I searched round a few sites and discovered some good advice by searching google on sites like Roys Quick Fix. Good luck and hope you are successful!
Thanks for the video content! Apologies for butting in, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Mahorrla Drive Remedy Method (erm, check it on google should be there)? It is a smashing exclusive product for getting rid of a driving anxiety minus the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my best friend Jordan after a lifetime of fighting got amazing success with it.
You must accelerate to 60+mph when joining motorway, and if you get overtaken by a Lorry on the motorway something is wrong with your driving
Couldn't agree more (technically you should accelerate upto the appropriate motorway speed at the time). It's the case of the slower you go because you're scared, the more scared you'll get when that HGV blasts past you. I live in the suburb of London and I see so many of these urban drivers causing near misses joining the motorway.
billandyeng yes at least 60pmh because speed limit for HGV's is 60mph.
Actually HGVs and in fact every artic registered in the EU is limited to 90km/h or 56MPH
@@billandyeng My driving instructor said ''what are slip roads for??''
I had to say ''building SPEEEEEED'' :) ...
Lol what happens if your at 60mph on the slip road and you end up neck and neck at the last second,
Means you will have to brake and swerve left or risk getting squashed by a lorry lol.
Also on the flipside once I was on the motorway and all of a sudden this driver comes of the slip road and and had a lorry on my right so had no where to go so ended up braking heavily to avoid him smashing into me come onto the motorway.
Speed kills
I don't understand why some people are so negative about her being scared of motorway ... some dickheads try to cut you off without a reason swinging right in front of your car acting like it's only them on the motorway . and so many accidents this days with all this fast and furious mobile users .... hate that so much if anyone wants to die just jump out of the bridge instead of putting other people's life at risk by driving dangerously . most of us have kids wife's and husbands that are waiting for our arrival instead of going on a funeral . this is so sad and heart breaking that people don't obey rules that comes with having your licence .
God bless you for curing the scared drivers of the world. A timid driver is an unpredictable driver. Being unpredictable is very dangerous on the expressway.
She would have no problems in Montenegro. There are no motorways. Probably would feel safe with cliff and falling rocks on one side and 200m drop on other side.
I remember as a child {passenger , obviously!} driving with parents on mountain roads with waterfalls, and sheer drops down precipices, where cars had gone over..Yugoslavia, and Alps on holiday.. Dad was nervous, as was mum, but I had faith in them, as kids do...but still remember rockfall warnings and the drops..The roads were far less busy back then. Driving from London to Greece.
Now I see what type of drivers needs fully automatic cars that will drive for them everywhere they need to go.
Is it real channel or why the video quality from 2000?
Its a tbt (throwback thursday) which means its an older episode
This was 2004. That’s also why all the cars are so old aswell
I tried & failed ! I was scared to go fast ! How can I get over it despite watching this
I find it interesting as I see a LOT of timid drivers out there. I'm a more assertive driver myself who likes speed. And what you call motorways we call highways, or secondaries etc. And indeed, modern vehicles are much better than those of the past.
kd1s Modern vehicles are better than those of the past in terms of driver assistance, but if you want the true driving experience, a new car is not for you.
I bet those timid drivers are LIBTARDS. Trump supporters are the more assertive confident type.
Well I'm one of those you'd classify as a libtard though. I just don't see the point in being timid.
Yeah I know. I do enjoy say a BMW X3 in sport mode - just touch the gas pedal and it takes off like a rocket. And I've driven older vehicles like say a Dodge D50 pickup witha 5 speed manual, or a Toyota pickup with a 5 speed - all on I-93 in Boston.
PLEASE keep politics out of this, I think you'll find trump supporters are the impatient drivers who undertake and cut you even if your indicators on and your already moving out of lane 3. not to mention the tailgating and anger they display on the roads.
At a guess I'd say her alternator failed, and that caused the motorway phobia, I could be wrong
Indeed. It happened to me one day too. Out of nowhere, my battery warning light turned on and all accessories turned off. 10 second later my car jolted and stopped.
I managed to move it out of the way though with the remaining momentum.
To tell the truth: Sometimes it's not best to face your phobias to not let your love ones suffer, trust me it's for the best
I'd be scared to drive on a motorway in britain too 😂
You should teach the opposite to some idiots :P
You’re probably a flat eather. The world is round you idiot.
La Stiletto I'm Indian. We invented zeros. Just didn't know you were also one xD
I dont do motorways.
I am the first comment :D
81st!! Yayyy
shit car, thats why
blackness010 shit driver
she should't have a licence in that case
Really? There are many people that choose not to use motorways, there is always a road around it? It's their own choice? She's a capable driver, just doesn't like using a certain type of road?
Her car just looks so sad. No wonder she's got a phobia of driving on the highway.
She's not a good driver. Simple as that. Driving that awful Escort probably won't help..
It just needs a wash and maybe a respray
Your mom won’t do any better.
HOW old is this, new vids is needed, not this RUBBISH Fifth Gear!
You shouldn’t encourage her to get back on motorways I drive a car transporter and it’s looking after fools like this all day the makes our job so much harder
