Just bought one as been done - 2 for speeding and 1 for driving through a red light after 1 second!!!! All this in 10 months!! Do over 40k a year as it’s my job, sure they’ve reduced the limits I.e. 3%.. Fingers crossed this will stop me being done anymore. Thanks for the video good but of info.

Always used road angel for around a year or two ago and stopped few months back and got caught speeding by automatic camera, would say buy it and stick with it, whenever i had this i felt safe tbh, wouldn't drive without it, would highly recommend, if used properly it can be a life saver.
True , this is installed in my wife’s car , she says the same she glad she has it due to the alerts given , thanks for your input to the channel much appreciated
Just orderded one.
Doing 60k miles p/a, days, nights, and i mean NIGHTS 2-4AM where there is litteraly no living soul on the roads. Recently got 3 tickets over 4weeks time. 59/50, 61/50, 60/50
Im not maniac or road murderer. Those speed limits are just ridiculous. My van is limited to 70mph so i cant even speed, and out of blue BANG down to 50 on motorway.
Bloody "smart" motorways and all that average speed bs.
You are just crusing, chilling out, your thoughs wonder off, living a dream and BANG - you got cought and prosecuted.
Got 2 tickets from route im covering everyday for last 2 years just because there was some moist on the motorway, and speed limit been dropped to 50...
Im sick of stressing out every other day, trying to recall if I was doing 55 or 60 on that stretch of motorway at that day when it was raining a bit... And the speed limit was 60 but then it dropped to 50 just to drop to 40 2 minutes later.
Bullshit.
When you get it you get 5 days subscription free after that you have to go for subscription if you want 12 months you have an option to spread the cost over 3 months same with 2,and 3,years keep an eye out for my next video mite just help you thanks for watching the video hope you subscribe and support

Where were the camera vans though? Were those just the locations that they are supposed to be in. But weren't actually there at the time of fliming?

They do not pick up speed vans they just report van hotspots chocolate fired guard springs to mind however I willl say everything else great
In the video looks like the Angel is flickering? Is this one working from a battery and its charged daily or have you hard wired?
It’s the camera mate not the angel led makes the camera flicker
All I have done is run the wire to lighter socket
Are these free subscription now and do they tell you if there is a camera van there or just say COULD be a van there?
It’s not free subscription and data base shows camera locations it’s in my mrs car she wouldn’t be without it she says

You do have to buy the subscription for 12/24 or 36 months price starts from 99 for 12?months it’s a great bit of kit , can be expensive but if it stops you getting a ticket , could pay for its self less the points
Wouldnt waze alert you if you’re speeding and tell you where cameras are all for free ?
Quite happy with road angel picked up 7 cameras in the last 2 weeks
@@alisonb4898 the advantage I’d say for Road Angel is the fact that it can pick up on handheld speed-guns, normal speed devices and constantly remind you of your speed.
Yes I totally agree with you, it’s a constant warning, my wife loves hers as she says in the video it’s something to keep you aware visually and audible
A Tomtom will do the same. Keeps me from driving over the limit by mistake. Speed camera and maps free update and I get up to date live traffic. Cost me nothing per month and paid £25 on eBay. Job done ✅
Yes but do we always use our sat nav if we no the way to get there
@@DazPreston69 I use mine just for making sure I don’t drive too fast. I’m in rural area of north wales and speed vans are the problem. Just got my sat nav for this reason. It up on my vent 27/7 and start on it own connected to the obd2 connection. Will see if it catches up on all the speed vans
I know what wales is like zero tolerance on speed, it’s a beautiful place, everything about wales is special
I'd mute that space invaders sound, or change it in the settings... I get mine to beep once....and reduce the distance to the camera

Device and subscription too expensive for me.. I don't think I'd save any money over getting annual fines over a speed camera that has me over once a year or so.
I agree with you it’s expensive subscription the thing is it’s helped my wife keep the speed awareness as it flashes when going over the speed limit however if you don’t subscribe it doesn’t do anything but appreciate your comment hope you subscribe cheers
Surely, the warning would be a big sign with a 30 in it?
It’s a brilliant piece of kit but I’m not renewing my subscription this year as my map app on Apple car play tells me them too. It’s £149 with over air updates and smart motorways. Just too much

Yea it’s good, had my doubts but seem to be bang on, doesn’t catch radar as such,it’s run through a database where cameras and vans are going to be ,updated regularly too ,hope it helped you any questions please just ask hope you subscribe
Very informative video and thank you for sharing your experience of this device. I have just ordered mine as my Snooper device is no longer supported by Road Angel so have taken up the discounted upgrade offer. Did you also hardwire the kit? as it looks a solid install 👍
I haven’t hard wired it , it’s my wife’s car i bought it for her as it’s clear to visually,, see and she says it does help her, she as picked up a speed van , so shows it’s database worked well good luck with yours and hope you subscribe-and tell me how you get on with yours
How does it detect a mobile speed camera?
Honestly I couldn’t tell you but it did, apparently I was told it can pick up the guns Gastso or whatever beams at you , all I know is it’s been ok , only thing I don’t like is the subscription cost, it’s impending my wife’s car, I bought it for her as she got a fine , speeding , and this device tells you in a warning when she’s going over the limit, thanks for comment really appreciate it , it does say on the instructions its got built in detectors
@@DazPreston69 The radar beam of a Gatso faces away from the direction you approach from. The laser of a speedmeter will only be on if you are targeted and by then it will simply all be over in 0.3 second.
Surely the device you highlight is a just a database of known camera locations just like Waze and doesn't actually detect anything??
@@Only_Fools_and_Audits yes it does work on data base on location’s , on the understanding of what I’ve been told behind the grill of the device there is some sort of detector in there, couldn’t honestly say if it has or hasn’t, be good if I could find out for real , if it has or hasn’t

Mobile van alerts go off every 3 mins nothing there set to 1000 always come on at 400 shite

Is it plug and play and does the speed road angel still work if you not subscribed to the service
Hi Chris it’s a great bit of kit, it’s not exactly plug and play you will need to register with pure but very easy, the answer to does it still work after subscription ends no it doesn’t but if just one speeding fine would be the equivalent to the subscription and no points no insurance premium to pay so if it saves you once it pays for the subscription alerts you when you are going over the speed limit if you call road angel tell them you seen it on our channel and could they give you a discount on subscription I’m sure they will, thanks for your question and hope you subscribe and let us know if you decided to buy one and if you get a discount on subscription
