@@NoBody-gf8ie I didn’t say they did but they are operating on behalf of the police none the less. My point is maybe people wouldn’t get so angry about being caught for speeding if more important crimes were dealt with as more of a priority. @@MC-gp1zg police staff do it so regular officers CAN focus on the more serious crimes, the police don’t see a penny from speeding fines (it all goes to the treasury’s consolidated fund which is basically the public purse) but it’s the police that’s decides when and where speed enforcement takes place and as they don’t profit from it how can money be the incentive?

    • @MC-gp1zg

@@NoBody-gf8ie yes but what more serious crimes are they dealing with exactly? And it’s not just staff that catch speeding cars I often see a police car hiding behind a motorway bridge with a cop and speed gun. So he’s also dealing with more serious crimes is he? Raw data equally doesn’t account for reporting methods and their accuracy or lack of nor does it take into account the improvement in vehicle safety which has played a significant role in reducing road deaths. Your implication seems to be that these speed camera devices have been responsible for the reduction in fatalities and that isn’t the case. The matter is far more complicated.
