Few things to note to get this ship.
1. You need a Class C License to pilot this beast.
2. Star Ship Design Rank 4 to add better mods to this ship is desirable but not required.
3. Rank 1 System Targeting Perk required for boarding.
4. This is a random event so its not a for sure thing. May take time and multiple attempts
5. Set difficulty to very easy if required

Notes & Tips:
1. Save your game before getting close to the ship
2. Make sure you lock on to the ship before firing or you will get a bounty
3. If you have Guardians spawn you probably wont find this ship in your spawn pool. But let me know if you do. I only no for you wont for the vista.
4. If you only have to pay Rego I consider it a free ship.

OMG the braking engines actually fire when you decelerate! I honestly thought they were fully aesthetic. That is so cool.
I thought that was cool as well. If feels like they actually makes a difference as well but thats prob not the case.
The thrusters you add on your ship as well those already on some structural parts are functional too. You can notice it when manuvering.
I lost my Revelation II when I went NG+. But thanks to this vid, I found a Stormrider II in Hawking. Had to pay a 20k bounty and Sam is super-pissed at me, but he’ll get over it. Worth it. I’m on the hunt for the III now. Thanks for this!!!

Huh i always use that ship, all it needs is replacing the laser and missile launcher to become a utter beast. My last 2 profiles have used them from as soon as they could basically, its the best II tier ship in the game, probably used it for 100 levels total never let me down, not even died in it what i remember :)
Its a shame there is no revelation III but one cant complain when the II is already so brilliant

Hello Luckian, Did you lose your Revelation? There is a bug going around that removes ships from your inventory :(

My boy with another one!! I ended up copping a Vista III in Masad VI-A. THIS TIME THE LANDING BAY DOOR OPENED!!! I was mad hyped haha. Solid ship and looking forward to upgrading it. Going after this one next in orbit and The Valentine!
Damm dude thats a great drop. Vista is my favourite, very solid ship. This one might be a bit tricky but hopefully you have some luck.
Yeah I got lucky for sure. And extra lucky that the landing bay door opened that time 😅 didn't even have to kill anyone inside. Took me a while to find the cockpit though, big ass ship lol

It took me about 2 hours of jumping around various systems, focusing on the Hawking, as you suggested (game difficulty Hard). I finally got it at Hawking II. It was alone, I followed it as you advised, I went in for the disabling blows to board, and then two other Stormriders (IIs) jumped in to defend. I was still able to get the III since they stopped fighting when I boarded. I also incurred no bounty, which I thought was odd since they had obviously known who it was. This character is playing Crimson Fleet, so I actually thought the bounty might be higher. Who can figure?
Between the loot (ammo, weapons, etc.) and the cargo credits, I think I walked away with about 80,000 credits from that one ship, before registering. So if you see all the ammo and weapons (about 12 guards?), you will plenty left over to pay any bounty as well as start saving up for those sweet upgrades, if you desire. I might have to go farm a few more as I have two different build ideas for my characters end-game ship and these parts will really help. Pricing the sell value at my landing pad, it was 90,385 credits. Ironically, the Stormrider III showed up for sell at the same Outpost landing pad - 462,780 credits (Commerce Rank 4). Getting it the Crimson way is a whole lot less expensive and far more fun.
Thats crazy that you got jumped by other Stormriders. That's never happened to me. Very interesting occurrence. A good rough time frame for other as well. Glad you got no bounty. Its a weird system right now for bounties
Damm 80k profit is decent. Being a bank ship it always has the most credit of any ship I think.

@@SiNKiLLeR_ I am starting another of my Firefly characters, The Operative, so as soon as I get Class C license, I will fly to Hawking and time the Stormrider search with a lower level character. This toon will use the UC simulator for ship skills, as that fits the RP -- I have not decided if The Operative is more of a UC guy or Ryujin Industries type (there is, after all an "Operative" with Ryujin). Anyway, I will let you know how long it takes to get the Stormrider III, if he even can at lower level.

@@chrism8860 I set him up as Ryujin, but not really sure what the character from Serenity actually had. I might have to watch the radio relay scene again to see if he tells Mal anything. Snake Worshiper probably would fit. I might have to just do another Operative in the future.

@@SiNKiLLeR_ Yeah I saw the interior, and I cannot find it in the Hawking system. However, luckily one of my outposts sells it. So I bought it and improved it, but lacking in the cargo department just to maintain the looks.
Ive found that using multiple specific 2 power "a" class engines (6 in total) with a 40 power class C reactor gives you that precious 100 /150 combination to start your build.

What engines would you recommend for this ship?
@skipwho idk about this ship because it's all about designer preference. Me personally, I start with 6 SA-4330 engines, also the SF40 Sheared Flow Reactor and then basically build around that.
I didn't know that the Revelations are the same as the Stormriders - I'm lucky I've nabbed a couple of Revelation 2's while following your guide about farming in Serpentis.
Might give one a colour change so it looks more like the Stormrider. I'm not that huge a fan of the Varuun colour palette.
The Stormrider 3 looks good - but I'm going to have to level up first and build a ship that can easily get me to Hawking.

Fair few channels doing tours inside of ships. I might leave it to them to cover that side of things.
Thank You Big Time! The game mechanics will produce that ship. The best part, you do not have to fight it in space to get it. The other funny part. You said it yourself on your own video.
Landing on each moon at very hard level. As long as you save the second your picture comes up when Landing. Then you will hear the first ship coming to land. After the hard save then quick save. Then go back and forth between the 2 saves until the ship you want lands. Some ships I like to take without hurting the outside of the ship. Plus you know how the game just ignores the dead bodies laying around. Until you port and clean up your ship 😂😂😂.
Very welcome I'm happy you got something out of it. Yer catching the quick save on the save and load trick is often never discussed in videos. Skipping the menu saves a ton of time if you doing this hours on end like I have.

I was on a moon in the Serpentine galaxy. And caught a ship landing. I went inside to kill everyone first and take control of the ship. Then as I was killing the people left outside. Another ship landed next to us. So I turned and ran inside that ship. After it was done, I had 3 ships on the same moon. But once I went back into the C Class Varuu chip. Someone jacked me for the A class ship next to me 😂.
The game mechanic can be funny with ship landings. I’ve never seen this ship land. I kept noticing something way way out on the horizon on my Moon Outpost. I’d say it was well beyond 1000+ meters. I looked through the scope on my Hard Target rifle x4 scope and I can make out a ship was sitting all the way out there. So burned through almost 3 AMPS getting all the way out there. You as player have to get elevated positions and really scan the farthest of horizon to spot ships that land that you have no idea that’s there. Turns out it was a Claymore. The ship was so far out from my Outpost that on approaching to board the ship the game triggered an inbound ship to land. And what would you guess that new ship was? I was like 🤔 that ship looks identical. I was on very hard game mode. I would find out later it was another Claymore but a MK Ii. Both ships sitting facing the exact same direction. I had 10 ships in my inventory already, so I had to do a bit of juggling to sell off ships to free up two new slots, nab the MK II, nab the MK I and sell that too so just left with the Claymore MK II. I was hoping another ship would land as was boarding the MK II and surprisingly the game did spawn in another ship. But this one was Orange in color like over 800+ meters away I figured it was a UC ship. I just decided to leave that ship alone as it was now even further away in direction from my Outpost. Just how far can a ship land from your Outpost, really stupid far in distance that you need a very powerful rifle scope to even see it’s there.

Was stealing ships in the hawking system today… seems an appropriate name to be stealing birds of prey!
A quick and easy thing I figured out was there’s a mining colony on one of the planets. It has a ship tech. You can very quickly switch back to your home ship after stealing one by jumping there.

@@SiNKiLLeR_ I don’t remember which planet… if they don’t move around, it’s at like 5 o’clock on the map. There was a mining outpost and a civilian outpost. If you run down the ramp and talk to the trader at the mining outpost, she will repair and modify ships.

Warning, ship not good for GTA -auto cannons Hit!....but if you need a heavy hitter....this is great. Only have a few first Gens, still below lvl 40.
Well said. One option is to try power down the auto cannons a bit and then switch them off completely to avoid killing the ship you want to steal.

Now we're talking. The Revelation is my first ship most of the time. Dammit, now I have to sign back into the game and try this.
I was thinking the same thing the Revelation wouldn't be bad to take at the start.
Its easy to get, because they pop in that area so much. Even the A ships are good to start off with. I was lucky and got a Big Bang on Kreet with this character.
I tried for 3 hours and couldnt find the Stormrider. Every other ship youve made videos for. I even destroyed a couple of Legendary ships (Spacer/Va'ruun). Starting to master chain taking ships. @@SiNKiLLeR_
Which method did you try ? Its going to depend on your level for the first and 2nd method. Stormrider III is pretty rare at busy city orbits but it does happen if your a high enough level. At least from my experience.
First person I've seen feature this ship! It is probably the best overall battle starship I've boarded and taken for myself.
I love it! I've upgraded the engines and weapons but kept the original design almost perfectly. I then painted it blue,grey, and white. I call it Icebreaker.
Its the biggest sleeper ship in starfield. Its unreal this slipped under the radar for so many of us.

You may want to update the notes on this vid because I visited every one of the star ship techs listed and none of them have any of the Stormrider variants for sale... I am at lvl 105 and have all the required skill points...
The best method to buy ships is to do the outpost ship builder method. The technician will sell the Stormrider but the stock cycles so it can be rough and tiresome to buy it.
I’d go and look for more ships to dock but as of yesterday I ran into a bug when I dock or change my home ship the shield goes from base 1600 to 600, sometimes it’s 900, found a workaround you must duplicate the ship via a glitch, absolutely huge bug hopefully Bethesda get off their ass to fix this asap
Oh what the hell that is a strange bug :( We do need a patch asap there are so many issue at the moment.

I started building my own gaming rigs like 6 years ago but after prices went crazy after Covid and shit I kinda let it sit ended up with a new Xbox series X and have been playing on that but once I get my new GPU and Ram I’ll be firing it up again for Starfield and would definitely take u up on that

Got so annoyed I couldnt find any versions of this ship, I built in with some mods. I installed a wonderful mod called "Call your ship". Today I installed 'Ultimate Shipyards Unlocked'. Used your video and a spawned version to learn how to build it. Very stupid, but I like the design and figure I can upgrade items with characters as they level using the Va'ruun version as a base.
Damm thats unlucky. You should find at least 1 or 2 around any Major city orbit. 2 will become more regular depending on your level. 3 is pretty rare around City orbits but it does appear. Upgrading the Va'ruun version is a great option as well. Shame his one didn't work as well for you :(
You should look up the Class M parts. I've used them in ships, but stopped putting the reactors in ships. Those are the most powerful items in the game. The mod M Class Modules and Ship Builder Unlock@@SiNKiLLeR_
I stole a ve’ruun prophecy III somewhere along the way. It is already pretty badass even tho it is ugly, but I’m going to see if I can upgrade it with any of the parts from the stormrider!
va’ruun prophecy III is a great ship to, but sounds like some fun to upgrade it with any of the parts from the stormrider :)
I picked that Prophecy III up in the Maal System (Maal I, I think) and am working it up to a very nice ship. Ugly, YES. But it is one of my favorites so far of the Bethesda ships. Anything we build seems to always be better. I like your plan of using these parts.

Stormrider MK III is identical to the Va'ruun Revelation MK III. Except then Revelation MK III never spawns ingame (it has a do_not_use tag, so maybe they're saving it for future DLC use. at the moment you have to use console commands to spawn one). So yeah, if you ever wanted a Va'ruun Revelation MK III, get a Stormrider MK III and paint it black lol
(you can sometimes find it in stores, I bought one from New Atlantis. I'm level 80 though)

My underling was you cant buy gal bank ships under the gal bank name. So they named it Revelation MK III instead even tho the colours are the white skin. Same goes for you Va'Ruun I guess. But I think your explanation is much better. Thanks for updating me.
I noticed this farming serpentis yesterday for about 3 hours, I fought at least 20 revelation 2’s and sold another 5 but not a single 3 showed up
Yer unfortunately Revelation 3 won't spawn like other ships.
What about the Revelation 2? I acquired a few already but sold... so I do not remember if it's the 2 or 3...
This makes sense as I can’t remember finding a Revelation III, but have seen lots of II’s in space. Now the first Revelation II I boarded and stole was just sitting on a planet. The Hawkings System method seems like a much better option to get the MK III version.
Must be a bug for me any time I try to dock to a ship like that in front of a highly traffic planet it won't even give the dock option, anywhere else it is fine but big worlds with spaceports like you just showed no dock option weird. Any body else get this .
It will depend on the ship but I dont think you can dock with them all. Are you on xbox?

So you g he me at a loss, which is your favorite ship to keep, fly, and battle with the Ecliptic Claymore III; the Renegade MK III; or the Stormrider MK III? It quite confusing figuring your preferred choice given your glowing reviews of all 3 ships.
Its a hard choice but if I had to chose I would probably go the Stormrider MK III as its most likely easier to obtain. It has better mobility then then Renegade MK III and higher hull value. I hope that helps.
Thank you for your reply. It convinces me to go capture a Stormrider MK III and purchase a Highlander MK III from the Akila ship tech at this time. Although I am tempted to try and find any Highlander MK to capture and upgrade it to either a MK 111 or Trader - if I am RNG lucky enough to locate one. I am going to rewatch your Renegade MK III video to decide if I want to capture that one also for a trifecta!

I see that others also have issues clipping cockpit on top. Game doesn’t let it happen and we have to attach it at the front. Sad. So many designs are dropped.
Im sure in the future it will hopefully be more flexible. Otherwise mods can help this issue.
My ship looks like a giant wad of paper with weapons haphazardly attached.

Don't worry we are all learning. Narwhal has the highest Hull heath at 2,118. Making it the sturdiest ship in the game.

I found a mark 3 on mars took its engine out but couldn’t dock it am I doing something wrong?
Hmm something must have gone wrong. So you take out the engine but sometimes the engine still has a slither of health which prevents you from docking. You could try hitting the engine one more time just to make sure its out. I also take out the grav drives but thats not technically required.

It depends on what your after but increasing the numbrr of weapon it already has on it. Would do a might job.
Another great video! I know EM weapons are tagged as useless… but could they be helpful for these sorts of missions? Basically slam a friendly ship with EM damage, board and steal?
Thats interesting idea, it be worth testing but I think it would would be considered an attack but EM is good for piracy. Great at taking engines out.
Note that EM weapons don't do anything until the shields are down. (1 damage to shield, 1 hull?)
It only affects the systems once the shields are down.
So I'm not sure if you can initiate a successful attack with the EM first.

I've never bothered with EM weapons, if i want to steal an enemy ship i'm attacking i just use my 6 PAS guns & try not to launch 8 missiles oer second at it. Which doesn't always go to plan as 6 PAS & 8 big assed missile launchers dealing over 1,300 damage looks so damned cool especially whilst barrel rolling they go all spirally 😁
you made it sound so awesome ship that i rebuilt frontier to exact stormrider 3 spec and i can say for sure that its crap. any custom built ship is better.
Nice work rebuilding it. Custom built ships always better. But out of all the stock ships its pretty decent.
I am curious what Mk3 c ships you can get right from the start of the game on very low level. The stormrider is one i think you cant get on low level, except you are lucky and get it in a distress ship event. Sadly it looks sweet.
Thats a really good question to try answer. I might see if I can figure this out.
I guees , none of C ships. At lvl 37 I’ve encountered Valentine and despite guides it was just a lvl B ship. If you travel to high tier planets like Wasada on purpose to farm C ship, you will only get A or B ecliptics. C ships will take off from a distance.
@@nich7622 i got a autobahn 3, a Vista 3 and some other high level ships with a level 8 Char. There are 2 ship events that dont care about the player level. First is the damaged ship and second is the ship that is infested with creatures this one has a way higher chance of being high level. The thing with the infested ship is that you can simply kill the captain bevor you kill the bugs and no one cares. But they are completly random, it can be a level 4 ship or a level 62 C class and i always startet looking at level 30 and higher sectors i dont know if they spawn on lower level.
Well and the hostile ship events also dont care about player level but you only get pirate ships.
Wow thats some really good information. I wonder if there are systems that its more likely to happen. I come across those very rarely unfortunately. But good to know that some situations will trigger regardless of level and you can score some insane ships at low levels. Great comment!
@@SiNKiLLeR_ Thank you! The map events get loaded when you jump into a sector, so you can make a hard save then jump some sectors farm the events then repeat. While looking for the infested ships is not very reliable its easy to pull off but needs a lot of time. The reliable way is to farm for a mk3 pirate ship in hostile ship events cause they are bound to the sector level. Its quite easy to farm up at level 30- 40 for Mk1, around 50 for Mk2 and i think from 65 you get mk3. And i like the challenge cause on very hard getting a claymore 3 can be quite troublesome.

How does this compare to a Vista III?
Its better on nearly all metrics but not by much. A personal choice would serve you best here as its pretty close. Plus I really enjoy both of these ships.

lvl 76 to buy the ship from technicians and i'd say maybe you might find it in the wild at 60-70 or above.

What level are you ? Mk 3 Is pretty rare in planet orbit but it will spawn if your levelled enough. Thats why the Hawking method might be better but will take time.

Oh damm that is so shit. Only way I now to fix this like that without a patch is to finish the game and go New Game Plus.
You need to go to a technician, move any part from its original position, save it, move it back, the "unauthorized" bug disappears.
I'm also hunting ship and a RUclipsr got this bug, that is how he solved after hours fighting this problem
Has any one tried this method to fix the ship landing bay not opening ?
@@SiNKiLLeR_ yup and it does not work. This bug is tied to the “Kill the crew / Leave the ship”. At some point i must have decided to leave a ship and it has de-spawned and the quest will not go away. The marker points to the moon, i land at the spot and the marker just points to my current ship i am using. No landed ships doors open and i can now enter the crappy star born ship!. I dont wanna go to new game plus coz it seems pointless and i will lose everything. 😥
All of my ship builds have higher specs lol and they are quite boring lol i never see enemies as the auto turrets destroy all before i even know what happened lol
