Reloading a save does not allow you to infinitely farm ships in seconds. It will allow you to save scum to try to get a ship you actually want to spawn, but it does not create a mechanism to continuously farm ships.
Here’s a tip: Try the Gamow planet in the same system. Similar with desert and all, but gravity is much less, so you can use your boost to get around faster. 👍🏻
@@theenigmabegins It’s been a while but as I recall, you can land pretty much anywhere, and the ships will usually show up eventually. Try a new spot if they don’t. Desert plains work best. Once you find a spot where a ship lands, you can mark it and keep coming back to the same spot and new ships will come in.
I head to Serpentis after buffing up a ship, B- or C-class with max particle, missle and the good EM weapons, and just use EM on every ship after killing their shields. Board, kill everyone, loot, sit claim, repair the ship and then reboard my ship and undock. I am running the mod sit to add ship which helps the process happen much quicker. When you repair the new ship if qualifies the requirement for ship repair in your skill tree. One can also bring one of the ships down to low life and target it and kill it in targeting mode to get that skill requirement as well. Also the other ships in the area won't shoot at you while you are docked. This allows you to get all the ships attacking you into your fleet. One thing I have done to expedite this method is to build an outpost on a serpentis world and a large ship landing pad, which has a ship builder, which allows you to land and sell the ships you don't want. This process allows you to get ton's of creds selling these ships or keeping what you like. I also run more ownable ships and TN's all in one Ship mods to do this kind of stuff. This can also be done without mods as I was doing this on my first playthru on 10% vanilla SF. Just takes a little longer as you have to land and the best way for that is to build the outpost before you start farming.
Whoa! I thought those were where I had missed a Starborn landing. This is awesome! Gives it a NMS ship hunt component, and a good way to RP pirate playthrough too. Awesome tip!

Thanks for this video and for continuing to make starfield content! Was getting really frustrated with those empty ship landing locations not spawning anything. Going to try this method out. 👍🏼
Got this working on xbox. Had to do a lot of trial and error. Basically land, find another landing pad, slowly make your way towards it make regular saves. The new ships will enter the atmosphere as you get close to the landing area so you need to put a beacon up just before that happens. Once its set up it works quite well. Had quite a few different ships
Just thought I’d chime in with experience using this method. I followed the video to a tee, even using the same world with sandy desert biome, making sure to set up an outpost before approaching the spawned landing site - except I got the VC Vanguard ship quest (the guy who says he’s stuck repairing his ship), so I left and let him take off from the landing site, then reset at Venus. Now it works great! I can reload saves to grab ships of my liking. Thanks for the video! *Edit I am playing on PC and also my outpost is built 200m outside of landing zone
Players new and old keep forgetting that there is a way easier way to steal ships. Todd howard said back before starfield came out that players can come across ships in space and that you can hail them over the radio and trade with the ships in space. He never said you couldn't kill and steal their ship after trading with them once your on their ship.
@@OregonYeti It still works but with the updates you will now need a mod to help called Skk Ship Management Tools by SKK. Once you dock and get on the ship then you can use the tool to hack the ship and take it, even if it will not let you in the pilot's seat.
Speaking of PC mods, there's a "Sit in Ship" mod to add it to your inventory so you don't need to fly it. Saves more time to be able farm/steal more ships.
EXCELLENT mod! One guy at a location that I don't know said he had three reinforcement ships land and was able to grab all three using this mod because you don't have to go through the home ship routine. Sit down, add to fleet, get up.
BTW, this works for me (on PC) - something I did not really expect. RUclipsrs have been declaring this problem fixed for quite some time - but I have never seen that "fix" in my 40 levels (I started a new character after the ill-fated patch) on "very hard" difficulty - until now. To wit - in those 40 levels I have had TWO stealable ships spawn, the better of which was a Bayonet!
For whatever reason, on Xbox ships do not spawn anymore. Landing zones are rarely pre-marked and again no ships would come in anyway. Bethesda has gone the way of other developers and seem to be leaving console players behind.
No where I have been, following all the recent videos made by various creators, have I gotten a single ship land with the exception of ones scripted to spawn (like Vulture's Roost.) Ever since the update I have not found a single landed ship. I'll try this one and hope I get better luck.
So on PC at least, I dl'd the beta and guess what? Ships landing like normal again! Also, I love the new maps, and habitat sealing doors move much faster now.
@@TazGaming141 Under the new beta release, everything works perfectly for ship landings now, and it is actually easier to see ship landings again. On average I find about 2 ships that land per planet now.

Too bad you only earn a few thousand credits when you sell the ships. I currently use the free Freestar Ranger ship, so it's ok, but what I need are credits.
I have an easy fix for this. It’s completely stupid that the game makes you pay 90% of the ship’s value for registration, AND that ships only sell for about 10% of their full value to begin with. So I decided to use my own model. At first, I tried some mods, but they don’t work properly. Instead, I just calculate 70% of the ship’s value (this is what they sell for in NMS, and makes sense) and once I sell the ship, I just use the console and give myself that amount of credits. 😂 Problem solved. 👍🏻 Some will say it’s cheating, but the idea that you sell a ship with a value of 100k and you make about 3k is what is cheating. I want to have fun.
Or you can just sell the ship without registering it. On xbox u do this by having the screen on a ship u own that IS registered and have the ship u want to sell the next shit to the right or left (rb or lb) and then while on the registered shit, hold rb + a (or lb + a) for a few seconds and release. It should sell the next shit. Pay attention to the value of the ship cuz it's easy to accidently sell thw wrong ship.

Off to Venus, 24 hours, then back ... no new spawn.
For the love of...time does NOT pass any differently on Venus as it does elsewhere! Venus just rotates so slowly that it takes 243 Earth days to turn on it's axis once. The game divides each day, each rotation, on a planet into 24 parts, or hours. So 1/24th of a "day" (a.k.a. 1 hour) on Venus is just over 10 days on Earth. (The game really ought to only let you sleep and wait in UT.) Vendors and such in the game reset after 48 UT hours in game. If this game ever introduces a survival mode, everyone who follows your advice to sleep on Venus will be dead of starvation and dehydration after a 1 hour catnap on Venus.
Ship vendors I believe take longer. I haven't personally tested to determine exact hours but had always been recommended to wait 6 hours on Venus (600 UT) to reset ship vendors. I know, I know, and I agree with you on the game's behavior, but it's the paradigm we have to live in to play.
